¹Judge not, that ye be not judged.

¹Ne jugez point, afin que vous ne soyez point jugés.

¹אל תשפטו למען לא תשפטו׃

²For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.

²Car on vous jugera du jugement dont vous jugez, et l'on vous mesurera avec la mesure dont vous mesurez.

²כי במשפט אשר אתם שפטים בו תשפטו ובמדה אשר אתם מדדים בה ימד לכם׃

³And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

³Pourquoi vois-tu la paille qui est dans l'oeil de ton frère, et n'aperçois-tu pas la poutre qui est dans ton oeil?

³ולמה זה אתה ראה את הקסם בעין אחיך ואת הקורה אשר בעינך לא תביט׃

⁴Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye?

⁴Ou comment peux-tu dire à ton frère: Laisse-moi ôter une paille de ton oeil, toi qui as une poutre dans le tien?

⁴ואיך תאמר אל אחיך הניחה לי ואסירה את הקסם מעינך והנה הקורה בעינך׃

⁵Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

⁵Hypocrite, ôte premièrement la poutre de ton oeil, et alors tu verras comment ôter la paille de l'oeil de ton frère.

⁵החנף הסר בראשונה את הקורה מעינך ואחרי כן ראה תראה להסיר את הקסם מעין אחיך׃

⁶Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.

⁶Ne donnez pas les choses saintes aux chiens, et ne jetez pas vos perles devant les pourceaux, de peur qu'ils ne les foulent aux pieds, ne se retournent et ne vous déchirent.

⁶אל תתנו את הקדש לכלבים ואל תשליכו פניניכם לפני החזירים פן ירמסום ברגליהם ופנו וטרפו אתכם׃

⁷Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

⁷Demandez, et l'on vous donnera; cherchez, et vous trouverez; frappez, et l'on vous ouvrira.

⁷שאלו וינתן לכם דרשו ותמצאו דפקו ויפתח לכם׃

⁸for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

⁸Car quiconque demande reçoit, celui qui cherche trouve, et l'on ouvre à celui qui frappe.

⁸כי כל השאל יקבל והדרש ימצא והדפק יפתח לו׃

⁹Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;

⁹Lequel de vous donnera une pierre à son fils, s'il lui demande du pain?

⁹ומי זה איש מכם אשר ישאל ממנו בנו לחם ונתן לו אבן׃

¹⁰or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?

¹⁰Ou, s'il demande un poisson, lui donnera-t-il un serpent?

¹⁰וכי ישאל ממנו דג היתן לו נחש׃

¹¹If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

¹¹Si donc, méchants comme vous l'êtes, vous savez donner de bonnes choses à vos enfants, à combien plus forte raison votre Père qui est dans les cieux donnera-t-il de bonnes choses à ceux qui les lui demandent.

¹¹הן אתם הרעים ידעים לתת מתנות טבות לבניכם אף כי אביכם שבשמים יתן אך טוב לשאלים מאתו׃

¹²All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.

¹²Tout ce que vous voulez que les hommes fassent pour vous, faites-le de même pour eux, car c'est la loi et les prophètes.

¹²לכן כל אשר תחפצו כי יעשו לכם בני האדם עשו להם גם אתם כי זאת היא התורה והנביאים׃

¹³Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.

¹³Entrez par la porte étroite. Car large est la porte, spacieux est le chemin qui mènent à la perdition, et il y en a beaucoup qui entrent par là.

¹³באו בפתח הצר כי רחב הפתח ומרוח הדרך המביא לאבדון ורבים אשר יבאו בו׃

¹⁴For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

¹⁴Mais étroite est la porte, resserré le chemin qui mènent à la vie, et il y en a peu qui les trouvent.

¹⁴ומה צר הפתח ומוצק הדרך המביא לחיים ומעטים הם אשר ימצאוהו׃

¹⁵Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.

¹⁵Gardez-vous des faux prophètes. Ils viennent à vous en vêtements de brebis, mais au dedans ce sont des loups ravisseurs.

¹⁵השמרו לכם מנביאי השקר הבאים אליכם בלבוש כבשים ובקרבם זאבים טרפים המה׃

¹⁶By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

¹⁶Vous les reconnaîtrez à leurs fruits. Cueille-t-on des raisins sur des épines, ou des figues sur des chardons?

¹⁶הכר תכירו אותם בפריהם היאספו ענבים מן הקצים או תאנים מן הברקנים׃

¹⁷Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

¹⁷Tout bon arbre porte de bons fruits, mais le mauvais arbre porte de mauvais fruits.

¹⁷כן כל עץ טוב עשה פרי טוב והמשחת עשה פרי רע׃

¹⁸A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

¹⁸Un bon arbre ne peut porter de mauvais fruits, ni un mauvais arbre porter de bons fruits.

¹⁸עץ טוב לא יוכל עשות פרי רע ועץ משחת לא יעשה פרי טוב׃

¹⁹Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

¹⁹Tout arbre qui ne porte pas de bons fruits est coupé et jeté au feu.

¹⁹וכל עץ אשר לא יעשה פרי טוב יגדע וישלך באש׃

²⁰Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

²⁰C'est donc à leurs fruits que vous les reconnaîtrez.

²⁰לכן בפרים תכירו אותם׃

²¹Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.

²¹Ceux qui me disent: Seigneur, Seigneur! n'entreront pas tous dans le royaume des cieux, mais celui-là seul qui fait la volonté de mon Père qui est dans les cieux.

²¹לא כל האמר לי אדני אדני יבוא אל מלכות השמים כי אם העשה רצון אבי שבשמים׃

²²Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?

²²Plusieurs me diront en ce jour-là: Seigneur, Seigneur, n'avons-nous pas prophétisé par ton nom? n'avons-nous pas chassé des démons par ton nom? et n'avons-nous pas fait beaucoup de miracles par ton nom?

²²והיה ביום ההוא יאמרו רבים אלי אדנינו אדנינו הלא בשמך נבאנו ובשמך גרשנו שדים ובשמך עשינו גבורות רבות׃

²³And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

²³Alors je leur dirai ouvertement: Je ne vous ai jamais connus, retirez-vous de moi, vous qui commettez l'iniquité.

²³אז אענה בם לאמר מעולם לא ידעתי אתכם סורו ממני פעלי האון׃

²⁴Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:

²⁴C'est pourquoi, quiconque entend ces paroles que je dis et les met en pratique, sera semblable à un homme prudent qui a bâti sa maison sur le roc.

²⁴לכן כל השמע את דברי אלה ועשה אתם אדמהו לאיש חכם אשר בנה את ביתו על הסלע׃

²⁵and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.

²⁵La pluie est tombée, les torrents sont venus, les vents ont soufflé et se sont jetés contre cette maison: elle n'est point tombée, parce qu'elle était fondée sur le roc.

²⁵וירד הגשם וישטפו הנהרות וישבו הרוחות ויגעו בבית ההוא ולא נפל כי יסד על הסלע׃

²⁶And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:

²⁶Mais quiconque entend ces paroles que je dis, et ne les met pas en pratique, sera semblable à un homme insensé qui a bâti sa maison sur le sable.

²⁶וכל השמע את דברי אלה ולא יעשה אתם ידמה לאיש בער אשר בנה את ביתו על החול׃

²⁷and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.

²⁷La pluie est tombée, les torrents sont venus, les vents ont soufflé et ont battu cette maison: elle est tombée, et sa ruine a été grande.

²⁷וירד הגשם וישטפו הנהרות וישבו הרוחות ויפגעו בבית ההוא ויפל ותהי מפלתו גדולה׃

²⁸And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching:

²⁸Après que Jésus eut achevé ces discours, la foule fut frappée de sa doctrine;

²⁸ויהי ככלות ישוע לדבר את הדברים האלה וישתומם המון העם על תורתו׃

²⁹for he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as their scribes.

²⁹car il enseignait comme ayant autorité, et non pas comme leurs scribes.

²⁹כי היה מלמד אותם כבעל גבורה ולא כסופרים׃
