¹Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not irksome, but for you it is safe.

¹Au reste, mes frères, réjouissez-vous dans le Seigneur. Je ne me lasse point de vous écrire les mêmes choses, et pour vous cela est salutaire.

¹ובכן אחי שמחו באדנינו הן לכתב ולשנות כזאת אליכם עלי איננו לטרח ולכם הוא לחזוק׃

²Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the concision:

²Prenez garde aux chiens, prenez garde aux mauvais ouvriers, prenez garde aux faux circoncis.

²הזהרו מן הכלבים הזהרו מן הפעלים הרעים הזהרו מן החתוך׃

³for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:

³Car les circoncis, c'est nous, qui rendons à Dieu notre culte par l'Esprit de Dieu, qui nous glorifions en Jésus-Christ, et qui ne mettons point notre confiance en la chair.

³כי אנחנו בני המילה העבדים את האלהים ברוח ומתפארים במשיח ישוע ואיננו בטחים בבשר׃

⁴though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh: if any other man thinketh to have confidence in the flesh, I yet more:

⁴Moi aussi, cependant, j'aurais sujet de mettre ma confiance en la chair. Si quelque autre croit pouvoir se confier en la chair, je le puis bien davantage,

⁴אף כי גם לי יש לבטח בבשר ואם יחשב איש שיוכל לבטח בבשר הנה אני יותר ממנו׃

⁵circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

⁵moi, circoncis le huitième jour, de la race d'Israël, de la tribu de Benjamin, Hébreu né d'Hébreux; quant à la loi, pharisien;

⁵אשר אני נמול בן שמונת ימים מבני ישראל משבט בנימין עברי מן העברים׃

⁶as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.

⁶quant au zèle, persécuteur de l'Eglise; irréprochable, à l'égard de la justice de la loi.

⁶לפי התורה פרוש בקנאתי רדף את העדה ולפי צדקת התורה בלי שמץ׃

⁷Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.

⁷Mais ces choses qui étaient pour moi des gains, je les ai regardées comme une perte, à cause de Christ.

⁷אך היתרנות האלה כלן חשבתי לי לחסרנות למען המשיח׃

⁸Yea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,

⁸Et même je regarde toutes choses comme une perte, à cause de l'excellence de la connaissance de Jésus-Christ mon Seigneur, pour lequel j'ai renoncé à tout, et je les regarde comme de la boue, afin de gagner Christ,

⁸וגם עודני חשב את כלן לחסרון לעמת מעלת ידיעת ישוע המשיח אדני אשר בעבורו חסרתי את נפשי מכל אלה ואחשבם לסחי להרויח את המשיח ולהמצא בו׃

⁹and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, [even] that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

⁹et d'être trouvé en lui, non avec ma justice, celle qui vient de la loi, mais avec celle qui s'obtient par la foi en Christ, la justice qui vient de Dieu par la foi,

⁹ולא תהיה לי צדקתי מתוך התורה כי אם באמונת המשיח הצדקה הבאה מאת האלהים באמונה׃

¹⁰that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;

¹⁰Afin de connaître Christ, et la puissance de sa résurrection, et la communion de ses souffrances, en devenant conforme à lui dans sa mort,

¹⁰לדעת אתו ואת גבורת תחיתו והתחברות ענוייו ולהדמות למותו׃

¹¹if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.

¹¹pour parvenir, si je puis, à la résurrection d'entre les morts.

¹¹להגיע אם אוכל אל תחית המתים׃

¹²Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus.

¹²Ce n'est pas que j'aie déjà remporté le prix, ou que j'aie déjà atteint la perfection; mais je cours, pour tâcher de le saisir, puisque moi aussi j'ai été saisi par Jésus-Christ.

¹²לא כאלו השגתי כבר או כאלו השלמתי אבל ארדף אולי אשיג כאשר גם השיגני המשיח ישוע׃

¹³Brethren, I could not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing [I do], forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,

¹³Frères, je ne pense pas l'avoir saisi; mais je fais une chose: oubliant ce qui est en arrière et me portant vers ce qui est en avant,

¹³אחי אינני חשב כי כבר השגתי אך אחת דברתי כי שכח אני את אשר מאחרי ואשתטח אל אשר לפני׃

¹⁴I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴je cours vers le but, pour remporter le prix de la vocation céleste de Dieu en Jésus-Christ.

¹⁴וארדף את מטרת שכר הנצחון אשר הוא בקריאה של מעלה מאת האלהים במשיח ישוע׃

¹⁵Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:

¹⁵Nous tous donc qui sommes parfaits, ayons cette même pensée; et si vous êtes en quelque point d'un autre avis, Dieu vous éclairera aussi là-dessus.

¹⁵לכן מי שהוא שלם בנו כן יחשב ואם תחשבו מחשבה אחרת גם זאת יגלה לכם האלהים׃

¹⁶only, whereunto we have attained, by that same [rule] let us walk.

¹⁶Seulement, au point où nous sommes parvenus, marchons d'un même pas.

¹⁶רק נתהלכה באשר הגענו עדיה במעגל אחד יבלב אחד׃

¹⁷Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample.

¹⁷Soyez tous mes imitateurs, frères, et portez les regards sur ceux qui marchent selon le modèle que vous avez en nous.

¹⁷אחי היו חברים להלכים אחרי והביטו אל המתהלכים כן כאשר אנחנו מופת לכם׃

¹⁸For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:

¹⁸Car il en est plusieurs qui marchent en ennemis de la croix de Christ, je vous en ai souvent parlé, et j'en parle maintenant encore en pleurant.

¹⁸כי רבים המתהלכים כן כאשר אנחנו מופת לכם׃

¹⁹whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and [whose] glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

¹⁹Leur fin sera la perdition; ils ont pour dieu leur ventre, ils mettent leur gloire dans ce qui fait leur honte, ils ne pensent qu'aux choses de la terre.

¹⁹כי רבים המתהלכים אשר עליהם אמרתי לכם פעמים הרבה ועתה גם בבכי אני אמר כי הם איבי צלב המשיח׃

²⁰For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

²⁰Mais notre cité à nous est dans les cieux, d'où nous attendons aussi comme Sauveur le Seigneur Jésus-Christ,

²⁰אשר אחריתם האבדון אשר כרסם אלהיהם וכבודם בבשתם וקרבם הבלי חלד׃

²¹who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, [that it may be] conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.

²¹qui transformera le corps de notre humiliation, en le rendant semblable au corps de sa gloire, par le pouvoir qu'il a de s'assujettir toutes choses.

²¹כי אזרחותנו בשמים היא ומשם מחכים אנחנו למושיענו אדנינו ישוע המשיח׃ [ (Philippians 3:22) אשר יחליף את גוף שפלותנו להיותו דומה לגוף כבודו כפי כח יכלתו לכבש הכל תחתיו׃ ]
