¹Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

¹C'est pourquoi, mes bien-aimés, et très chers frères, vous qui êtes ma joie et ma couronne, demeurez ainsi fermes dans le Seigneur, mes bien-aimés!

¹ועתה אחי החביבים והחמודים שמחתי ועטרת ראשי עמדו נא כן באדנינו חביבי׃

²I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord.

²J'exhorte Evodie et j'exhorte Syntyche à être d'un même sentiment dans le Seigneur.

²את אבהודיה אני מזהיר ואת סונטיכי אני מזהיר להיות לב אחד באדנינו׃

³Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

³Et toi aussi, fidèle collègue, oui, je te prie de les aider, elles qui ont combattu pour l'Evangile avec moi, et avec Clément et mes autres compagnons d'oeuvre, dont les noms sont dans le livre de vie.

³ואתה חברי הנצמד לי באמת אף ממך אני מבקש להיות להן לעזר אשר יגעו עמדי על הבשורה עם קלימיס ועם שאר תמכי אשר שמותם יחד בספר החיים׃

⁴Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

⁴Réjouissez-vous toujours dans le Seigneur; je le répète, réjouissez-vous.

⁴שמחו באדנינו בכל עת ועוד הפעם אמר אני שמחו׃

⁵Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

⁵Que votre douceur soit connue de tous les hommes. Le Seigneur est proche.

⁵ענות רוחכם תודע לכל איש קרב הוא האדון׃

⁶In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁶Ne vous inquiétez de rien; mais en toute chose faites connaître vos besoins à Dieu par des prières et des supplications, avec des actions de grâces.

⁶אל תדאגו כי אם בתפלה ובתחנונים עם תודה תודיעו בכל דבר את משאלותיכם לאלהינו׃

⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

⁷Et la paix de Dieu, qui surpasse toute intelligence, gardera vos coeurs et vos pensées en Jésus-Christ.

⁷ושלום אלהים הנשגב מכל שכל ינצר את לבבכם ואת מחשבותיכם במשיח ישוע׃

⁸Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁸Au reste, frères, que tout ce qui est vrai, tout ce qui est honorable, tout ce qui est juste, tout ce qui est pur, tout ce qui est aimable, tout ce qui mérite l'approbation, ce qui est vertueux et digne de louange, soit l'objet de vos pensées.

⁸ובכן אחי כל אשר הוא אמת ונכבד וישר וטהור ונעים ואשר שמעו טוב כל מעשה צדק כל מעשה שבח על אלה תשימו לבבכם׃

⁹The things which ye both learned and received and heard and saw in me, these things do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

⁹Ce que vous avez appris, reçu et entendu de moi, et ce que vous avez vu en moi, pratiquez-le. Et le Dieu de paix sera avec vous.

⁹אשר למדתם וקבלתם ושמעתם וראיתם בי את אלה תעשו ואלהי השלום יהיה עמכם׃

¹⁰But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length ye have revived your thought for me; wherein ye did indeed take thought, but ye lacked opportunity.

¹⁰J'ai éprouvé une grande joie dans le Seigneur de ce que vous avez pu enfin renouveler l'expression de vos sentiments pour moi; vous y pensiez bien, mais l'occasion vous manquait.

¹⁰ואני שמחתי מאד באדנינו כי עתה הפעם החלפתם כח להשגיח עלי וגם משגיחים הייתם עד כה אך לא עלתה בידכם׃

¹¹Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therein to be content.

¹¹Ce n'est pas en vue de mes besoins que je dis cela, car j'ai appris à être content de l'état où je me trouve.

¹¹ולא ממחסור אדבר כן כי למדתי להסתפק במה שיש לי׃

¹²I know how to be abased, and I know also how to abound: in everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in want.

¹²Je sais vivre dans l'humiliation, et je sais vivre dans l'abondance. En tout et partout j'ai appris à être rassasié et à avoir faim, à être dans l'abondance et à être dans la disette.

¹²ידעתי לענות אף ידעתי להותיר מחנך אני בכל ענין ואופן הן לשבע הן לרעב הן להותיר הן לחסר׃

¹³I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.

¹³Je puis tout par celui qui me fortifie.

¹³כל זאת אוכל בעזרת המשיח הנותן כח בקרבי׃

¹⁴Howbeit ye did well that ye had fellowship with my affliction.

¹⁴Cependant vous avez bien fait de prendre part à ma détresse.

¹⁴אבל היטבתם לעשות בהתחברכם אלי בצרתי׃

¹⁵And ye yourselves also know, ye Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but ye only;

¹⁵Vous le savez vous-mêmes, Philippiens, au commencement de la prédication de l'Evangile, lorsque je partis de la Macédoine, aucune Eglise n'entra en compte avec moi pour ce qu'elle donnait et recevait; vous fûtes les seuls à le faire,

¹⁵וידעתם גם אתם פילפיים כי בראשית הבשורה כצאתי ממקדוניא לא התחברה לי אחת מן הקהלות בעשק משא ומתן כי אם אתם בלבד׃

¹⁶for even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my need.

¹⁶car vous m'envoyâtes déjà à Thessalonique, et à deux reprises, de quoi pourvoir à mes besoins.

¹⁶כי גם בתסלוניקי שלחתם לי את צרכי פעם ושתים׃

¹⁷Not that I seek for the gift; but I seek for the fruit that increaseth to your account.

¹⁷Ce n'est pas que je recherche les dons; mais je recherche le fruit qui abonde pour votre compte.

¹⁷לא שאבקש את המתן אך אבקש הפרי אשר ירבה בחשבנכם׃

¹⁸But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things [that came] from you, and odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.

¹⁸J'ai tout reçu, et je suis dans l'abondance; j'ai été comblé de biens, en recevant par Epaphrodite ce qui vient de vous comme un parfum de bonne odeur, un sacrifice que Dieu accepte, et qui lui est agréable.

¹⁸ואני קבלתי את הכל ויש לי די והותר ואני נמלאתי ריח ניחח בקבלי מידי אפפרודיטוס את כל אשר שלחתם זבח ערב ורצוי לאלהים׃

¹⁹And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁹Et mon Dieu pourvoira à tous vos besoins selon sa richesse, avec gloire, en Jésus-Christ.

¹⁹ואלהי הוא ימלא את כל צרככם כעשר כבודו במשיח ישוע׃

²⁰Now unto our God and Father [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

²⁰A notre Dieu et Père soit la gloire aux siècles des siècles! Amen!

²⁰ולאלהים אבינו הכבוד לעולמי עולמים אמן׃

²¹Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren that are with me salute you.

²¹Saluez tous les saints en Jésus-Christ. Les frères qui sont avec moi vous saluent.

²¹שאלו לשלום כל קדוש במשיח ישוע האחים אשר עמדי שאלים לשלומכם׃

²²All the saints salute you, especially they that are of Caesar's household.

²²Tous les saints vous saluent, et principalement ceux de la maison de César.

²²כל הקדשים שאלים לשלומכם וביותר אלה אשר מבית הקיסר׃

²³The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

²³Que la grâce du Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec votre esprit!

²³חסד ישוע המשיח אדנינו עם כלכם אמן׃
