1Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God; for in thee do I take refuge.
1Hymne de David. Garde-moi, ô Dieu! car je cherche en toi mon refuge.
1מכתם לדוד שמרני אל כי חסיתי בך׃
2[O my soul], thou hast said unto Jehovah, Thou art my Lord: I have no good beyond thee.
2Je dis à l'Eternel: Tu es mon Seigneur, Tu es mon souverain bien!
2אמרת ליהוה אדני אתה טובתי בל עליך׃
3As for the saints that are in the earth, They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
3Les saints qui sont dans le pays, Les hommes pieux sont l'objet de toute mon affection.
3לקדושים אשר בארץ המה ואדירי כל חפצי בם׃
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that give gifts for another [god]: Their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take their names upon my lips.
4On multiplie les idoles, on court après les dieux étrangers: Je ne répands pas leurs libations de sang, Je ne mets pas leurs noms sur mes lèvres.
4ירבו עצבותם אחר מהרו בל אסיך נסכיהם מדם ובל אשא את שמותם על שפתי׃
5Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.
5L'Eternel est mon partage et mon calice; C'est toi qui m'assures mon lot;
5יהוה מנת חלקי וכוסי אתה תומיך גורלי׃
6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly heritage.
6Un héritage délicieux m'est échu, Une belle possession m'est accordée.
6חבלים נפלו לי בנעמים אף נחלת שפרה עלי׃
7I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel; Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.
7Je bénis l'Eternel, mon conseiller; La nuit même mon coeur m'exhorte.
7אברך את יהוה אשר יעצני אף לילות יסרוני כליותי׃
8I have set Jehovah always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
8J'ai constamment l'Eternel sous mes yeux; Quand il est à ma droite, je ne chancelle pas.
8שויתי יהוה לנגדי תמיד כי מימיני בל אמוט׃
9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; My flesh also shall dwell in safety.
9Aussi mon coeur est dans la joie, mon esprit dans l'allégresse, Et mon corps repose en sécurité.
9לכן שמח לבי ויגל כבודי אף בשרי ישכן לבטח׃
10For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.
10Car tu ne livreras pas mon âme au séjour des morts, Tu ne permettras pas que ton bien-aimé voie la corruption.
10כי לא תעזב נפשי לשאול לא תתן חסידך לראות שחת׃
11Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
11Tu me feras connaître le sentier de la vie; Il y a d'abondantes joies devant ta face, Des délices éternelles à ta droite.
11תודיעני ארח חיים שבע שמחות את פניך נעמות בימינך נצח׃
