1For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of the sons of Korah. Maschil. A Song of loves. My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter; I speak the things which I have made touching the king: My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
1Au chef des chantres. Sur les lis. Des fils de Koré. Cantique. Chant d'amour. Des paroles pleines de charme bouillonnent dans mon coeur. Je dis: Mon oeuvre est pour le roi! Que ma langue soit comme la plume d'un habile écrivain!
1למנצח על ששנים לבני קרח משכיל שיר ידידת רחש לבי דבר טוב אמר אני מעשי למלך לשוני עט סופר מהיר׃
2Thou art fairer than the children of men; Grace is poured into thy lips: Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
2Tu es le plus beau des fils de l'homme, La grâce est répandue sur tes lèvres: C'est pourquoi Dieu t'a béni pour toujours.
2יפיפית מבני אדם הוצק חן בשפתותיך על כן ברכך אלהים לעולם׃
3Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one, Thy glory and thy majesty.
3Vaillant guerrier, ceins ton épée, -Ta parure et ta gloire,
3חגור חרבך על ירך גבור הודך והדרך׃
4And in thy majesty ride on prosperously, Because of truth and meekness [and] righteousness: And thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
4Oui, ta gloire! -Sois vainqueur, monte sur ton char, Défends la vérité, la douceur et la justice, Et que ta droite se signale par de merveilleux exploits!
4והדרך צלח רכב על דבר אמת וענוה צדק ותורך נוראות ימינך׃
5Thine arrows are sharp; The peoples fall under thee; [They are] in the heart of the king's enemies.
5Tes flèches sont aiguës; Des peuples tomberont sous toi; Elles perceront le coeur des ennemis du roi.
5חציך שנונים עמים תחתיך יפלו בלב אויבי המלך׃
6Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of equity is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
6Ton trône, ô Dieu, est à toujours; Le sceptre de ton règne est un sceptre d'équité.
6כסאך אלהים עולם ועד שבט מישר שבט מלכותך׃
7Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
7Tu aimes la justice, et tu hais la méchanceté: C'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint D'une huile de joie, par privilège sur tes collègues.
7אהבת צדק ותשנא רשע על כן משחך אלהים אלהיך שמן ששון מחבריך׃
8All thy garments [smell of] myrrh, and aloes, [and] cassia; Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made thee glad.
8La myrrhe, l'aloès et la casse parfument tous tes vêtements; Dans les palais d'ivoire les instruments à cordes te réjouissent.
8מר ואהלות קציעות כל בגדתיך מן היכלי שן מני שמחוך׃
9Kings' daughters are among thy honorable women: At thy right hand doth stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
9Des filles de rois sont parmi tes bien-aimées; La reine est à ta droite, parée d'or d'Ophir.
9בנות מלכים ביקרותיך נצבה שגל לימינך בכתם אופיר׃
10Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; Forget also thine own people, and thy father's house:
10Ecoute, ma fille, vois, et prête l'oreille; Oublie ton peuple et la maison de ton père.
10שמעי בת וראי והטי אזנך ושכחי עמך ובית אביך׃
11So will the king desire thy beauty; For he is thy lord; and reverence thou him.
11Le roi porte ses désirs sur ta beauté; Puisqu'il est ton seigneur, rends-lui tes hommages.
11ויתאו המלך יפיך כי הוא אדניך והשתחוי לו׃
12And the daughter of Tyre [shall be there] with a gift; The rich among the people shall entreat thy favor.
12Et, avec des présents, la fille de Tyr, Les plus riches du peuple rechercheront ta faveur.
12ובת צר במנחה פניך יחלו עשירי עם׃
13The king's daughter within [the palace] is all glorious: Her clothing is inwrought with gold.
13Toute resplendissante est la fille du roi dans l'intérieur du palais; Elle porte un vêtement tissu d'or.
13כל כבודה בת מלך פנימה ממשבצות זהב לבושה׃
14She shall be led unto the king in broidered work: The virgins her companions that follow her Shall be brought unto thee.
14Elle est présentée au roi, vêtue de ses habits brodés, Et suivie des jeunes filles, ses compagnes, qui sont amenées auprès de toi;
14לרקמות תובל למלך בתולות אחריה רעותיה מובאות לך׃
15With gladness and rejoicing shall they be led: They shall enter into the king's palace.
15On les introduit au milieu des réjouissances et de l'allégresse, Elles entrent dans le palais du roi.
15תובלנה בשמחת וגיל תבאינה בהיכל מלך׃
16Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, Whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth.
16Tes enfants prendront la place de tes pères; Tu les établiras princes dans tout le pays.
16תחת אבתיך יהיו בניך תשיתמו לשרים בכל הארץ׃
17I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: Therefore shall the peoples give thee thanks for ever and ever.
17Je rappellerai ton nom dans tous les âges: Aussi les peuples te loueront éternellement et à jamais.
17אזכירה שמך בכל דר ודר על כן עמים יהודך לעלם ועד׃
