¹A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, hath spoken, And called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

¹Psaume d'Asaph. Dieu, Dieu, l'Eternel, parle, et convoque la terre, Depuis le soleil levant jusqu'au soleil couchant.

¹מזמור לאסף אל אלהים יהוה דבר ויקרא ארץ ממזרח שמש עד מבאו׃

²Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.

²De Sion, beauté parfaite, Dieu resplendit.

²מציון מכלל יפי אלהים הופיע׃

³Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence: A fire devoureth before him, And it is very tempestuous round about him.

³Il vient, notre Dieu, il ne reste pas en silence; Devant lui est un feu dévorant, Autour de lui une violente tempête.

³יבא אלהינו ואל יחרש אש לפניו תאכל וסביביו נשערה מאד׃

⁴He calleth to the heavens above, And to the earth, that he may judge his people:

⁴Il crie vers les cieux en haut, Et vers la terre, pour juger son peuple:

⁴יקרא אל השמים מעל ואל הארץ לדין עמו׃

⁵Gather my saints together unto me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

⁵Rassemblez-moi mes fidèles, Qui ont fait alliance avec moi par le sacrifice! -

⁵אספו לי חסידי כרתי בריתי עלי זבח׃

⁶And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; For God is judge himself. Selah

⁶Et les cieux publieront sa justice, Car c'est Dieu qui est juge. -Pause.

⁶ויגידו שמים צדקו כי אלהים שפט הוא סלה׃

⁷Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, [even] thy God.

⁷Ecoute, mon peuple! et je parlerai; Israël! et je t'avertirai. Je suis Dieu, ton Dieu.

⁷שמעה עמי ואדברה ישראל ואעידה בך אלהים אלהיך אנכי׃

⁸I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices; And thy burnt-offerings are continually before me.

⁸Ce n'est pas pour tes sacrifices que je te fais des reproches; Tes holocaustes sont constamment devant moi.

⁸לא על זבחיך אוכיחך ועולתיך לנגדי תמיד׃

⁹I will take no bullock out of thy house, Nor he-goats out of thy folds.

⁹Je ne prendrai pas de taureau dans ta maison, Ni de bouc dans tes bergeries.

⁹לא אקח מביתך פר ממכלאתיך עתודים׃

¹⁰For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills.

¹⁰Car tous les animaux des forêts sont à moi, Toutes les bêtes des montagnes par milliers;

¹⁰כי לי כל חיתו יער בהמות בהררי אלף׃

¹¹I know all the birds of the mountains; And the wild beasts of the field are mine.

¹¹Je connais tous les oiseaux des montagnes, Et tout ce qui se meut dans les champs m'appartient.

¹¹ידעתי כל עוף הרים וזיז שדי עמדי׃

¹²If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

¹²Si j'avais faim, je ne te le dirais pas, Car le monde est à moi et tout ce qu'il renferme.

¹²אם ארעב לא אמר לך כי לי תבל ומלאה׃

¹³Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?

¹³Est-ce que je mange la chair des taureaux? Est-ce que je bois le sang des boucs?

¹³האוכל בשר אבירים ודם עתודים אשתה׃

¹⁴Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; And pay thy vows unto the Most High:

¹⁴Offre pour sacrifice à Dieu des actions de grâces, Et accomplis tes voeux envers le Très-Haut.

¹⁴זבח לאלהים תודה ושלם לעליון נדריך׃

¹⁵And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

¹⁵Et invoque-moi au jour de la détresse; Je te délivrerai, et tu me glorifieras.

¹⁵וקראני ביום צרה אחלצך ותכבדני׃

¹⁶But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, And that thou hast taken my covenant in thy mouth,

¹⁶Et Dieu dit au méchant: Quoi donc! tu énumères mes lois, Et tu as mon alliance à la bouche,

¹⁶ולרשע אמר אלהים מה לך לספר חקי ותשא בריתי עלי פיך׃

¹⁷Seeing thou hatest instruction, And castest my words behind thee?

¹⁷Toi qui hais les avis, Et qui jettes mes paroles derrière toi!

¹⁷ואתה שנאת מוסר ותשלך דברי אחריך׃

¹⁸When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers.

¹⁸Si tu vois un voleur, tu te plais avec lui, Et ta part est avec les adultères.

¹⁸אם ראית גנב ותרץ עמו ועם מנאפים חלקך׃

¹⁹Thou givest thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit.

¹⁹Tu livres ta bouche au mal, Et ta langue est un tissu de tromperies.

¹⁹פיך שלחת ברעה ולשונך תצמיד מרמה׃

²⁰Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

²⁰Tu t'assieds, et tu parles contre ton frère, Tu diffames le fils de ta mère.

²⁰תשב באחיך תדבר בבן אמך תתן דפי׃

²¹These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thyself: [But] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.

²¹Voilà ce que tu as fait, et je me suis tu. Tu t'es imaginé que je te ressemblais; Mais je vais te reprendre, et tout mettre sous tes yeux.

²¹אלה עשית והחרשתי דמית היות אהיה כמוך אוכיחך ואערכה לעיניך׃

²²Now consider this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:

²²Prenez-y donc garde, vous qui oubliez Dieu, De peur que je ne déchire, sans que personne délivre.

²²בינו נא זאת שכחי אלוה פן אטרף ואין מציל׃

²³Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifieth me; And to him that ordereth his way [aright] Will I show the salvation of God.

²³Celui qui offre pour sacrifice des actions de grâces me glorifie, Et à celui qui veille sur sa voie Je ferai voir le salut de Dieu.

²³זבח תודה יכבדנני ושם דרך אראנו בישע אלהים׃
