¹For the Chief Musician. A song, a Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth:

¹Au chef des chantres. Cantique. Psaume. Poussez vers Dieu des cris de joie, Vous tous, habitants de la terre!

¹למנצח שיר מזמור הריעו לאלהים כל הארץ׃

²Sing forth the glory of his name: Make his praise glorious.

²Chantez la gloire de son nom, Célébrez sa gloire par vos louanges!

²זמרו כבוד שמו שימו כבוד תהלתו׃

³Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

³Dites à Dieu: Que tes oeuvres sont redoutables! A cause de la grandeur de ta force, tes ennemis te flattent.

³אמרו לאלהים מה נורא מעשיך ברב עזך יכחשו לך איביך׃

⁴All the earth shall worship thee, And shall sing unto thee; They shall sing to thy name. Selah

⁴Toute la terre se prosterne devant toi et chante en ton honneur; Elle chante ton nom. -Pause.

⁴כל הארץ ישתחוו לך ויזמרו לך יזמרו שמך סלה׃

⁵Come, and see the works of God; [He is] terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

⁵Venez et contemplez les oeuvres de Dieu! Il est redoutable quand il agit sur les fils de l'homme.

⁵לכו וראו מפעלות אלהים נורא עלילה על בני אדם׃

⁶He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot: There did we rejoice in him.

⁶Il changea la mer en une terre sèche, On traversa le fleuve à pied: Alors nous nous réjouîmes en lui.

⁶הפך ים ליבשה בנהר יעברו ברגל שם נשמחה בו׃

⁷He ruleth by his might for ever; His eyes observe the nations: Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

⁷Il domine éternellement par sa puissance, Ses yeux observent les nations: Que les rebelles ne s'élèvent pas! -Pause.

⁷משל בגבורתו עולם עיניו בגוים תצפינה הסוררים אל ירימו למו סלה׃

⁸Oh bless our God, ye peoples, And make the voice of his praise to be heard;

⁸Peuples, bénissez notre Dieu, Faites retentir sa louange!

⁸ברכו עמים אלהינו והשמיעו קול תהלתו׃

⁹Who holdeth our soul in life, And suffereth not our feet to be moved.

⁹Il a conservé la vie à notre âme, Et il n'a pas permis que notre pied chancelât.

⁹השם נפשנו בחיים ולא נתן למוט רגלנו׃

¹⁰For thou, O God, hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

¹⁰Car tu nous as éprouvés, ô Dieu! Tu nous as fait passer au creuset comme l'argent.

¹⁰כי בחנתנו אלהים צרפתנו כצרף כסף׃

¹¹Thou broughtest us into the net; Thou layedst a sore burden upon our loins.

¹¹Tu nous as amenés dans le filet, Tu as mis sur nos reins un pesant fardeau,

¹¹הבאתנו במצודה שמת מועקה במתנינו׃

¹²Thou didst cause men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

¹²Tu as fait monter des hommes sur nos têtes; Nous avons passé par le feu et par l'eau. Mais tu nous en as tirés pour nous donner l'abondance.

¹²הרכבת אנוש לראשנו באנו באש ובמים ותוציאנו לרויה׃

¹³I will come into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will pay thee my vows,

¹³J'irai dans ta maison avec des holocaustes, J'accomplirai mes voeux envers toi:

¹³אבוא ביתך בעולות אשלם לך נדרי׃

¹⁴Which my lips uttered, And my mouth spake, when I was in distress.

¹⁴Pour eux mes lèvres se sont ouvertes, Et ma bouche les a prononcés dans ma détresse.

¹⁴אשר פצו שפתי ודבר פי בצר לי׃

¹⁵I will offer unto thee burnt-offerings of fatlings, With the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah

¹⁵Je t'offrirai des brebis grasses en holocauste, Avec la graisse des béliers; Je sacrifierai des brebis avec des boucs. -Pause.

¹⁵עלות מחים אעלה לך עם קטרת אילים אעשה בקר עם עתודים סלה׃

¹⁶Come, and hear, all ye that fear God, And I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

¹⁶Venez, écoutez, vous tous qui craignez Dieu, et je raconterai Ce qu'il a fait à mon âme.

¹⁶לכו שמעו ואספרה כל יראי אלהים אשר עשה לנפשי׃

¹⁷I cried unto him with my mouth, And he was extolled with my tongue.

¹⁷J'ai crié à lui de ma bouche, Et la louange a été sur ma langue.

¹⁷אליו פי קראתי ורומם תחת לשוני׃

¹⁸If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear:

¹⁸Si j'avais conçu l'iniquité dans mon coeur, Le Seigneur ne m'aurait pas exaucé.

¹⁸און אם ראיתי בלבי לא ישמע אדני׃

¹⁹But verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

¹⁹Mais Dieu m'a exaucé, Il a été attentif à la voix de ma prière.

¹⁹אכן שמע אלהים הקשיב בקול תפלתי׃

²⁰Blessed be God, Who hath not turned away my prayer, Nor his lovingkindness from me.

²⁰Béni soit Dieu, Qui n'a pas rejeté ma prière, Et qui ne m'a pas retiré sa bonté!

²⁰ברוך אלהים אשר לא הסיר תפלתי וחסדו מאתי׃
