1For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshanim. [A Psalm] of David. Save me, O God; For the waters are come in unto my soul.
1Au chef des chantres. Sur les lis. De David. Sauve-moi, ô Dieu! Car les eaux menacent ma vie.
1למנצח על שושנים לדוד הושיעני אלהים כי באו מים עד נפש׃
2I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
2J'enfonce dans la boue, sans pouvoir me tenir; Je suis tombé dans un gouffre, et les eaux m'inondent.
2טבעתי ביון מצולה ואין מעמד באתי במעמקי מים ושבלת שטפתני׃
3I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried: Mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
3Je m'épuise à crier, mon gosier se dessèche, Mes yeux se consument, tandis que je regarde vers mon Dieu.
3יגעתי בקראי נחר גרוני כלו עיני מיחל לאלהי׃
4They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: That which I took not away I have to restore.
4Ils sont plus nombreux que les cheveux de ma tête, Ceux qui me haïssent sans cause; Ils sont puissants, ceux qui veulent me perdre, Qui sont à tort mes ennemis. Ce que je n'ai pas dérobé, il faut que je le restitue.
4רבו משערות ראשי שנאי חנם עצמו מצמיתי איבי שקר אשר לא גזלתי אז אשיב׃
5O God, thou knowest my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from thee.
5O Dieu! tu connais ma folie, Et mes fautes ne te sont point cachées.
5אלהים אתה ידעת לאולתי ואשמותי ממך לא נכחדו׃
6Let not them that wait for thee be put to shame through me, O Lord Jehovah of hosts: Let not those that seek thee be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.
6Que ceux qui espèrent en toi ne soient pas confus à cause de moi, Seigneur, Eternel des armées! Que ceux qui te cherchent ne soient pas dans la honte à cause de moi, Dieu d'Israël!
6אל יבשו בי קויך אדני יהוה צבאות אל יכלמו בי מבקשיך אלהי ישראל׃
7Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; Shame hath covered my face.
7Car c'est pour toi que je porte l'opprobre, Que la honte couvre mon visage;
7כי עליך נשאתי חרפה כסתה כלמה פני׃
8I am become a stranger unto my brethren, And an alien unto my mother's children.
8Je suis devenu un étranger pour mes frères, Un inconnu pour les fils de ma mère.
8מוזר הייתי לאחי ונכרי לבני אמי׃
9For the zeal of thy house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproach thee are fallen upon me.
9Car le zèle de ta maison me dévore, Et les outrages de ceux qui t'insultent tombent sur moi.
9כי קנאת ביתך אכלתני וחרפות חורפיך נפלו עלי׃
10When I wept, [and chastened] my soul with fasting, That was to my reproach.
10Je verse des larmes et je jeûne, Et c'est ce qui m'attire l'opprobre;
10ואבכה בצום נפשי ותהי לחרפות לי׃
11When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword unto them.
11Je prends un sac pour vêtement, Et je suis l'objet de leurs sarcasmes.
11ואתנה לבושי שק ואהי להם למשל׃
12They that sit in the gate talk of me; And [I am] the song of the drunkards.
12Ceux qui sont assis à la porte parlent de moi, Et les buveurs de liqueurs fortes me mettent en chansons.
12ישיחו בי ישבי שער ונגינות שותי שכר׃
13But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy lovingkindness, Answer me in the truth of thy salvation.
13Mais je t'adresse ma prière, ô Eternel! Que ce soit le temps favorable, ô Dieu, par ta grande bonté! Réponds-moi, en m'assurant ton secours!
13ואני תפלתי לך יהוה עת רצון אלהים ברב חסדך ענני באמת ישעך׃
14Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: Let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
14Retire-moi de la boue, et que je n'enfonce plus! Que je sois délivré de mes ennemis et du gouffre!
14הצילני מטיט ואל אטבעה אנצלה משנאי וממעמקי מים׃
15Let not the waterflood overwhelm me, Neither let the deep shallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.
15Que les flots ne m'inondent plus, Que l'abîme ne m'engloutisse pas, Et que la fosse ne se ferme pas sur moi!
15אל תשטפני שבלת מים ואל תבלעני מצולה ואל תאטר עלי באר פיה׃
16Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy lovingkindness is good: According to the multitude of thy tender mercies turn thou unto me.
16Exauce-moi, Eternel! car ta bonté est immense. Dans tes grandes compassions, tourne vers moi les regards,
16ענני יהוה כי טוב חסדך כרב רחמיך פנה אלי׃
17And hide not thy face from thy servant; For I am in distress; answer me speedily.
17Et ne cache pas ta face à ton serviteur! Puisque je suis dans la détresse, hâte-toi de m'exaucer!
17ואל תסתר פניך מעבדך כי צר לי מהר ענני׃
18Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: Ransom me because of mine enemies.
18Approche-toi de mon âme, délivre-la! Sauve-moi, à cause de mes ennemis!
18קרבה אל נפשי גאלה למען איבי פדני׃
19Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: Mine adversaries are all before thee.
19Tu connais mon opprobre, ma honte, mon ignominie; Tous mes adversaires sont devant toi.
19אתה ידעת חרפתי ובשתי וכלמתי נגדך כל צוררי׃
20Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.
20L'opprobre me brise le coeur, et je suis malade; J'attends de la pitié, mais en vain, Des consolateurs, et je n'en trouve aucun.
20חרפה שברה לבי ואנושה ואקוה לנוד ואין ולמנחמים ולא מצאתי׃
21They gave me also gall for my food; And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
21Ils mettent du fiel dans ma nourriture, Et, pour apaiser ma soif, ils m'abreuvent de vinaigre.
21ויתנו בברותי ראש ולצמאי ישקוני חמץ׃
22Let their table before them become a snare; And when they are in peace, [let it become] a trap.
22Que leur table soit pour eux un piège, Et un filet au sein de leur sécurité!
22יהי שלחנם לפניהם לפח ולשלומים למוקש׃
23Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see; And make their loins continually to shake.
23Que leurs yeux s'obscurcissent et ne voient plus, Et fais continuellement chanceler leurs reins!
23תחשכנה עיניהם מראות ומתניהם תמיד המעד׃
24Pour out thine indignation upon them, And let the fierceness of thine anger overtake them.
24Répands sur eux ta colère, Et que ton ardente fureur les atteigne!
24שפך עליהם זעמך וחרון אפך ישיגם׃
25Let their habitation be desolate; Let none dwell in their tents.
25Que leur demeure soit dévastée, Qu'il n'y ait plus d'habitants dans leurs tentes!
25תהי טירתם נשמה באהליהם אל יהי ישב׃
26For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; And they tell of the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.
26Car ils persécutent celui que tu frappes, Ils racontent les souffrances de ceux que tu blesses.
26כי אתה אשר הכית רדפו ואל מכאוב חלליך יספרו׃
27Add iniquity unto their iniquity; And let them not come into thy righteousness.
27Ajoute des iniquités à leurs iniquités, Et qu'ils n'aient point part à ta miséricorde!
27תנה עון על עונם ואל יבאו בצדקתך׃
28Let them be blotted out of the book of life, And not be written with the righteous.
28Qu'ils soient effacés du livre de vie, Et qu'ils ne soient point inscrits avec les justes!
28ימחו מספר חיים ועם צדיקים אל יכתבו׃
29But I am poor and sorrowful: Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
29Moi, je suis malheureux et souffrant: O Dieu, que ton secours me relève!
29ואני עני וכואב ישועתך אלהים תשגבני׃
30I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving.
30Je célébrerai le nom de Dieu par des cantiques, Je l'exalterai par des louanges.
30אהללה שם אלהים בשיר ואגדלנו בתודה׃
31And it will please Jehovah better than an ox, [Or] a bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
31Cela est agréable à l'Eternel, plus qu'un taureau Avec des cornes et des sabots.
31ותיטב ליהוה משור פר מקרן מפריס׃
32The meek have seen it, and are glad: Ye that seek after God, let your heart live.
32Les malheureux le voient et se réjouissent; Vous qui cherchez Dieu, que votre coeur vive!
32ראו ענוים ישמחו דרשי אלהים ויחי לבבכם׃
33For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners.
33Car l'Eternel écoute les pauvres, Et il ne méprise point ses captifs.
33כי שמע אל אביונים יהוה ואת אסיריו לא בזה׃
34Let heaven and earth praise him, The seas, and everything that moveth therein.
34Que les cieux et la terre le célèbrent, Les mers et tout ce qui s'y meut!
34יהללוהו שמים וארץ ימים וכל רמש בם׃
35For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; And they shall abide there, and have it in possession.
35Car Dieu sauvera Sion, et bâtira les villes de Juda; On s'y établira, et l'on en prendra possession;
35כי אלהים יושיע ציון ויבנה ערי יהודה וישבו שם וירשוה׃
36The seed also of his servants shall inherit it; And they that love his name shall dwell therein.
36La postérité de ses serviteurs en fera son héritage, Et ceux qui aiment son nom y auront leur demeure.
36וזרע עבדיו ינחלוה ואהבי שמו ישכנו בה׃
