1Complainte de David. Chantée à l'Eternel, au sujet de Cusch, Benjamite. Eternel, mon Dieu! je cherche en toi mon refuge; Sauve-moi de tous mes persécuteurs, et délivre-moi,
1שגיון לדוד אשר שר ליהוה על דברי כוש בן ימיני יהוה אלהי בך חסיתי הושיעני מכל רדפי והצילני׃
2Lest they tear my soul like a lion, Rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
2Afin qu'ils ne me déchirent pas, comme un lion Qui dévore sans que personne vienne au secours.
2פן יטרף כאריה נפשי פרק ואין מציל׃
3O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands;
3Eternel, mon Dieu! si j'ai fait cela, S'il y a de l'iniquité dans mes mains,
3יהוה אלהי אם עשיתי זאת אם יש עול בכפי׃
4If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary;)
4Si j'ai rendu le mal à celui qui était paisible envers moi, Si j'ai dépouillé celui qui m'opprimait sans cause,
4אם גמלתי שולמי רע ואחלצה צוררי ריקם׃
5Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, And lay my glory in the dust. Selah
5Que l'ennemi me poursuive et m'atteigne, Qu'il foule à terre ma vie, Et qu'il couche ma gloire dans la poussière! -Pause.
5ירדף אויב נפשי וישג וירמס לארץ חיי וכבודי לעפר ישכן סלה׃
6Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger; Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries, And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment.
6Lève-toi, ô Eternel! dans ta colère, Lève-toi contre la fureur de mes adversaires, Réveille-toi pour me secourir, ordonne un jugement!
6קומה יהוה באפך הנשא בעברות צוררי ועורה אלי משפט צוית׃
7And let the congregation of the peoples compass thee about; And over them return thou on high.
7Que l'assemblée des peuples t'environne! Monte au-dessus d'elle vers les lieux élevés!
7ועדת לאמים תסובבך ועליה למרום שובה׃
8Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples: Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me.
8L'Eternel juge les peuples: Rends-moi justice, ô Eternel! Selon mon droit et selon mon innocence!
8יהוה ידין עמים שפטני יהוה כצדקי וכתמי עלי׃
9O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous: For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts.
9Mets un terme à la malice des méchants, Et affermis le juste, Toi qui sondes les coeurs et les reins, Dieu juste!
9יגמר נא רע רשעים ותכונן צדיק ובחן לבות וכליות אלהים צדיק׃
10My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart.
10Mon bouclier est en Dieu, Qui sauve ceux dont le coeur est droit.
10מגני על אלהים מושיע ישרי לב׃
11God is a righteous judge, Yea, a God that hath indignation every day.
11Dieu est un juste juge, Dieu s'irrite en tout temps.
11אלהים שופט צדיק ואל זעם בכל יום׃
12If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; He hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
12Si le méchant ne se convertit pas, il aiguise son glaive, Il bande son arc, et il vise;
12אם לא ישוב חרבו ילטוש קשתו דרך ויכוננה׃
13He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He maketh his arrows fiery [shafts].
13Il dirige sur lui des traits meurtriers, Il rend ses flèches brûlantes.
13ולו הכין כלי מות חציו לדלקים יפעל׃
14Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
14Voici, le méchant prépare le mal, Il conçoit l'iniquité, et il enfante le néant.
14הנה יחבל און והרה עמל וילד שקר׃
15He hath made a pit, and digged it, And is fallen into the ditch which he made.
15Il ouvre une fosse, il la creuse, Et il tombe dans la fosse qu'il a faite.
15בור כרה ויחפרהו ויפל בשחת יפעל׃
16His mischief shall return upon his own head, And his violence shall come down upon his own pate.
16Son iniquité retombe sur sa tête, Et sa violence redescend sur son front.
16ישוב עמלו בראשו ועל קדקדו חמסו ירד׃
17I will give thanks unto Jehovah according to his righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High.
17Je louerai l'Eternel à cause de sa justice, Je chanterai le nom de l'Eternel, du Très-Haut.
17אודה יהוה כצדקו ואזמרה שם יהוה עליון׃
