1In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame.
1Eternel! je cherche en toi mon refuge: Que jamais je ne sois confondu!
1בך יהוה חסיתי אל אבושה לעולם׃
2Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.
2Dans ta justice, sauve-moi et délivre-moi! Incline vers moi ton oreille, et secours-moi!
2בצדקתך תצילני ותפלטני הטה אלי אזנך והושיעני׃
3Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress.
3Sois pour moi un rocher qui me serve d'asile, Où je puisse toujours me retirer! Tu as résolu de me sauver, Car tu es mon rocher et ma forteresse.
3היה לי לצור מעון לבוא תמיד צוית להושיעני כי סלעי ומצודתי אתה׃
4Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
4Mon Dieu, délivre-moi de la main du méchant, De la main de l'homme inique et violent!
4אלהי פלטני מיד רשע מכף מעול וחומץ׃
5For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: [Thou art] my trust from my youth.
5Car tu es mon espérance, Seigneur Eternel! En toi je me confie dès ma jeunesse.
5כי אתה תקותי אדני יהוה מבטחי מנעורי׃
6By thee have I been holden up from the womb; Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise shall be continually of thee.
6Dès le ventre de ma mère je m'appuie sur toi; C'est toi qui m'as fait sortir du sein maternel; tu es sans cesse l'objet de mes louanges.
6עליך נסמכתי מבטן ממעי אמי אתה גוזי בך תהלתי תמיד׃
7I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge.
7Je suis pour plusieurs comme un prodige, Et toi, tu es mon puissant refuge.
7כמופת הייתי לרבים ואתה מחסי עז׃
8My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, And with thy honor all the day.
8Que ma bouche soit remplie de tes louanges, Que chaque jour elle te glorifie!
8ימלא פי תהלתך כל היום תפארתך׃
9Cast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth.
9Ne me rejette pas au temps de la vieillesse; Quand mes forces s'en vont, ne m'abandonne pas!
9אל תשליכני לעת זקנה ככלות כחי אל תעזבני׃
10For mine enemies speak concerning me; And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,
10Car mes ennemis parlent de moi, Et ceux qui guettent ma vie se consultent entre eux,
10כי אמרו אויבי לי ושמרי נפשי נועצו יחדו׃
11Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.
11Disant: Dieu l'abandonne; Poursuivez, saisissez-le; il n'y a personne pour le délivrer.
11לאמר אלהים עזבו רדפו ותפשוהו כי אין מציל׃
12O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me.
12O Dieu, ne t'éloigne pas de moi! Mon Dieu, viens en hâte à mon secours!
12אלהים אל תרחק ממני אלהי לעזרתי חישה׃
13Let them be put to shame [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.
13Qu'ils soient confus, anéantis, ceux qui en veulent à ma vie! Qu'ils soient couverts de honte et d'opprobre, ceux qui cherchent ma perte!
13יבשו יכלו שטני נפשי יעטו חרפה וכלמה מבקשי רעתי׃
14But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more.
14Et moi, j'espérerai toujours, Je te louerai de plus en plus.
14ואני תמיד איחל והוספתי על כל תהלתך׃
15My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, [And] of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers [thereof].
15Ma bouche publiera ta justice, ton salut, chaque jour, Car j'ignore quelles en sont les bornes.
15פי יספר צדקתך כל היום תשועתך כי לא ידעתי ספרות׃
16I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
16Je dirai tes oeuvres puissantes, Seigneur Eternel! Je rappellerai ta justice, la tienne seule.
16אבוא בגברות אדני יהוה אזכיר צדקתך לבדך׃
17O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
17O Dieu! tu m'as instruit dès ma jeunesse, Et jusqu'à présent j'annonce tes merveilles.
17אלהים למדתני מנעורי ועד הנה אגיד נפלאותיך׃
18Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto [the next] generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.
18Ne m'abandonne pas, ô Dieu! même dans la blanche vieillesse, Afin que j'annonce ta force à la génération présente, Ta puissance à la génération future!
18וגם עד זקנה ושיבה אלהים אל תעזבני עד אגיד זרועך לדור לכל יבוא גבורתך׃
19Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?
19Ta justice, ô Dieu! atteint jusqu'au ciel; Tu as accompli de grandes choses: ô Dieu! qui est semblable à toi?
19וצדקתך אלהים עד מרום אשר עשית גדלות אלהים מי כמוך׃
20Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
20Tu nous as fait éprouver bien des détresses et des malheurs; Mais tu nous redonneras la vie, Tu nous feras remonter des abîmes de la terre.
20אשר הראיתנו צרות רבות ורעות תשוב תחיינו ומתהמות הארץ תשוב תעלני׃
21Increase thou my greatness, And turn again and comfort me.
21Relève ma grandeur, Console-moi de nouveau!
21תרב גדלתי ותסב תנחמני׃
22I will also praise thee with the psaltery, [Even] thy truth, O my God: Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
22Et je te louerai au son du luth, je chanterai ta fidélité, mon Dieu, Je te célébrerai avec la harpe, Saint d'Israël!
22גם אני אודך בכלי נבל אמתך אלהי אזמרה לך בכנור קדוש ישראל׃
23My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee; And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
23En te célébrant, j'aurai la joie sur les lèvres, La joie dans mon âme que tu as délivrée;
23תרננה שפתי כי אזמרה לך ונפשי אשר פדית׃
24My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long; For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.
24Ma langue chaque jour publiera ta justice, Car ceux qui cherchent ma perte sont honteux et confus.
24גם לשוני כל היום תהגה צדקתך כי בשו כי חפרו מבקשי רעתי׃
