1For the Chief Musician; set to Muthlabben. A Psalm of David. I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.

1למנצח עלמות לבן מזמור לדוד אודה יהוה בכל לבי אספרה כל נפלאותיך׃
2I will be glad and exult in thee; I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.
2Je ferai de toi le sujet de ma joie et de mon allégresse, Je chanterai ton nom, Dieu Très-Haut!
2אשמחה ואעלצה בך אזמרה שמך עליון׃
3When mine enemies turn back, They stumble and perish at thy presence.
3Mes ennemis reculent, Ils chancellent, ils périssent devant ta face.
3בשוב אויבי אחור יכשלו ויאבדו מפניך׃
4For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.
4Car tu soutiens mon droit et ma cause, Tu sièges sur ton trône en juste juge.
4כי עשית משפטי ודיני ישבת לכסא שופט צדק׃
5Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.
5Tu châties les nations, tu détruis le méchant, Tu effaces leur nom pour toujours et à perpétuité.
5גערת גוים אבדת רשע שמם מחית לעולם ועד׃
6The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever; And the cities which thou hast overthrown, The very remembrance of them is perished.
6Plus d'ennemis! Des ruines éternelles! Des villes que tu as renversées! Leur souvenir est anéanti.
6האויב תמו חרבות לנצח וערים נתשת אבד זכרם המה׃
7But Jehovah sitteth [as king] for ever: He hath prepared his throne for judgment;
7L'Eternel règne à jamais, Il a dressé son trône pour le jugement;
7ויהוה לעולם ישב כונן למשפט כסאו׃
8And he will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples in uprightness.
8Il juge le monde avec justice, Il juge les peuples avec droiture.
8והוא ישפט תבל בצדק ידין לאמים במישרים׃
9Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed, A high tower in times of trouble;
9L'Eternel est un refuge pour l'opprimé, Un refuge au temps de la détresse.
9ויהי יהוה משגב לדך משגב לעתות בצרה׃
10And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
10Ceux qui connaissent ton nom se confient en toi. Car tu n'abandonnes pas ceux qui te cherchent, ô Eternel!
10ויבטחו בך יודעי שמך כי לא עזבת דרשיך יהוה׃
11Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwelleth in Zion: Declare among the people his doings.
11Chantez à l'Eternel, qui réside en Sion, Publiez parmi les peuples ses hauts faits!
11זמרו ליהוה ישב ציון הגידו בעמים עלילותיו׃
12For he that maketh inquisition for blood remembereth them; He forgetteth not the cry of the poor.
12Car il venge le sang et se souvient des malheureux, Il n'oublie pas leurs cris.
12כי דרש דמים אותם זכר לא שכח צעקת עניים׃
13Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; Behold my affliction [which I suffer] of them that hate me, Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;
13Aie pitié de moi, Eternel! Vois la misère où me réduisent mes ennemis, Enlève-moi des portes de la mort,
13חננני יהוה ראה עניי משנאי מרוממי משערי מות׃
14That I may show forth all thy praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion I will rejoice in thy salvation.
14Afin que je publie toutes tes louanges, Dans les portes de la fille de Sion, Et que je me réjouisse de ton salut.
14למען אספרה כל תהלתיך בשערי בת ציון אגילה בישועתך׃
15The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made: In the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
15Les nations tombent dans la fosse qu'elles ont faite, Leur pied se prend au filet qu'elles ont caché.
15טבעו גוים בשחת עשו ברשת זו טמנו נלכדה רגלם׃
16Jehovah hath made himself known, he hath executed judgment: The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah
16L'Eternel se montre, il fait justice, Il enlace le méchant dans l'oeuvre de ses mains. -Jeu d'instruments. Pause.
16נודע יהוה משפט עשה בפעל כפיו נוקש רשע הגיון סלה׃
17The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.
17Les méchants se tournent vers le séjour des morts, Toutes les nations qui oublient Dieu.
17ישובו רשעים לשאולה כל גוים שכחי אלהים׃
18For the needy shall not alway be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.
18Car le malheureux n'est point oublié à jamais, L'espérance des misérables ne périt pas à toujours.
18כי לא לנצח ישכח אביון תקות ענוים תאבד לעד׃
19Arise, O Jehovah; let not man prevail: Let the nations be judged in thy sight.
19Lève-toi, ô Eternel! Que l'homme ne triomphe pas! Que les nations soient jugées devant ta face!
19קומה יהוה אל יעז אנוש ישפטו גוים על פניך׃
20Put them in fear, O Jehovah: Let the nations know themselves to be but men. Selah
20Frappe-les d'épouvante, ô Eternel! Que les peuples sachent qu'ils sont des hommes! -Pause.
20שיתה יהוה מורה להם ידעו גוים אנוש המה סלה׃
