¹But him that is weak in faith receive ye, [yet] not for decision of scruples.

¹Faites accueil à celui qui est faible dans la foi, et ne discutez pas sur les opinions.

¹ואת החלוש באמונה אותו קבלו ולא לדין את המחשבות׃

²One man hath faith to eat all things: but he that is weak eateth herbs.

²Tel croit pouvoir manger de tout: tel autre, qui est faible, ne mange que des légumes.

²יש מאמין כי נכון לאכל כל דבר והחלוש יאכל רק את הירק׃

³Let not him that eateth set at nought him that eateth not; and let not him that eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

³Que celui qui mange ne méprise point celui qui ne mange pas, et que celui qui ne mange pas ne juge point celui qui mange, car Dieu l'a accueilli.

³האכל אל יבז את אשר לא יאכל ואשר לא יאכל אל ידין את האכל כי קבל אתו האלהים׃

⁴Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? to his own lord he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be made to stand; for the Lord hath power to make him stand.

⁴Qui es-tu, toi qui juges un serviteur d'autrui? S'il se tient debout, ou s'il tombe, cela regarde son maître. Mais il se tiendra debout, car le Seigneur a le pouvoir de l'affermir.

⁴מי אתה כי תדין את עבד האחר הן לאדניו הוא יקום או יפל אבל יוקם כי יכל האלהים להקימו׃

⁵One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day [alike]. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.

⁵Tel fait une distinction entre les jours; tel autre les estime tous égaux. Que chacun ait en son esprit une pleine conviction.

⁵יש מבדיל בין יום ליום ויש אשר כל הימים שוים בעיניו ויהי כל איש נכון בדעתו׃

⁶He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord: and he that eateth, eateth unto the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, unto the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

⁶Celui qui distingue entre les jours agit ainsi pour le Seigneur. Celui qui mange, c'est pour le Seigneur qu'il mange, car il rend grâces à Dieu; celui qui ne mange pas, c'est pour le Seigneur qu'il ne mange pas, et il rend grâces à Dieu.

⁶השמר את היום לאדון שמר אתו ואשר איננו שמר את היום לאדון איננו שמר האכל לאדון הוא אכל כי מודה הוא לאלהים ואשר איננו אכל לאדון איננו אכל ומודה הוא לאלהים׃

⁷For none of us liveth to himself, and none dieth to himself.

⁷En effet, nul de nous ne vit pour lui-même, et nul ne meurt pour lui-même.

⁷כי אין איש מאתנו אשר יחיה לנפשו ואין איש אשר ימות לנפשו׃

⁸For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; or whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

⁸Car si nous vivons, nous vivons pour le Seigneur; et si nous mourons, nous mourons pour le Seigneur. Soit donc que nous vivions, soit que nous mourions, nous sommes au Seigneur.

⁸כי כאשר נחיה נחיה לאדון וכאשר נמות נמות לאדון לכן אם נחיה ואם נמות לאדון הננו׃

⁹For to this end Christ died and lived [again], that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

⁹Car Christ est mort et il a vécu, afin de dominer sur les morts et sur les vivants.

⁹כי לזאת מת המשיח ויקם ויחי למען יהיה אדון גם על המתים גם על החיים׃

¹⁰But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or thou again, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God.

¹⁰Mais toi, pourquoi juges-tu ton frère? ou toi, pourquoi méprises-tu ton frère? puisque nous comparaîtrons tous devant le tribunal de Dieu.

¹⁰ואתה למה זה תדין את אחיך או אתה למה תבוז לאחיך הלא כלנו עתידים לעמד לפני כסא דין אלהים׃

¹¹For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God.

¹¹Car il est écrit: Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, Tout genou fléchira devant moi, Et toute langue donnera gloire à Dieu.

¹¹כי כתוב חי אני נאם יהוה כי לי תכרע כל ברך וכל לשון תודה לאלהים׃

¹²So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God.

¹²Ainsi chacun de nous rendra compte à Dieu pour lui-même.

¹²הנה נא כל אחד ממנו על נפשו יתן חשבון לאלהים׃

¹³Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock in his brother's way, or an occasion of falling.

¹³Ne nous jugeons donc plus les uns les autres; mais pensez plutôt à ne rien faire qui soit pour votre frère une pierre d'achoppement ou une occasion de chute.

¹³לכן אל נדין עוד איש את רעהו כי אם זה יהי דינכם שלא יתן איש לפני אחיו מכשול או מוקש׃

¹⁴I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: save that to him who accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

¹⁴Je sais et je suis persuadé par le Seigneur Jésus que rien n'est impur en soi, et qu'une chose n'est impure que pour celui qui la croit impure.

¹⁴ידעתי ומבטח אני באדון ישוע כי אין דבר טמא בפני עצמו ורק טמא הוא למי שיחשבנו לו לטמא׃

¹⁵For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.

¹⁵Mais si, pour un aliment, ton frère est attristé, tu ne marches plus selon l'amour: ne cause pas, par ton aliment, la perte de celui pour lequel Christ est mort.

¹⁵ואם יעצב אחיך על דבר האכל אינך מתהלך עוד בדרך האהבה אל נא תאבד באכלך את אשר בעדו מת המשיח׃

¹⁶Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

¹⁶Que votre privilège ne soit pas un sujet de calomnie.

¹⁶לכן הזהרו פן יהיה טובכם לגדופים׃

¹⁷for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷Car le royaume de Dieu, ce n'est pas le manger et le boire, mais la justice, la paix et la joie, par le Saint-Esprit.

¹⁷כי מלכות האלהים איננה אכילה ושתיה כי צדקה היא ושלום ושמחה ברוח הקדש׃

¹⁸For he that herein serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men.

¹⁸Celui qui sert Christ de cette manière est agréable à Dieu et approuvé des hommes.

¹⁸והעבד באלה את המשיח רצוי הוא לאלהים ובחון לאנשים׃

¹⁹So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another.

¹⁹Ainsi donc, recherchons ce qui contribue à la paix et à l'édification mutuelle.

¹⁹ועתה נרדפה דרך השלום ודרך הבנות יחד איש מרעהו׃

²⁰Overthrow not for meat's sake the work of God. All things indeed are clean; howbeit it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

²⁰Pour un aliment, ne détruis pas l'oeuvre de Dieu. A la vérité toutes choses sont pures; mais il est mal à l'homme, quand il mange, de devenir une pierre d'achoppement.

²⁰אל תהרוס את מעשה אלהים על דבר מאכל הן הכל טהור הוא אבל רע לאדם אשר יאכלנו במכשל לבו׃

²¹It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor [to do anything] whereby thy brother stumbleth.

²¹Il est bien de ne pas manger de viande, de ne pas boire de vin, et de s'abstenir de ce qui peut être pour ton frère une occasion de chute, de scandale ou de faiblesse.

²¹טוב שלא תאכל בשר ולא תשתה יין ולא תעשה דבר אשר יתנגף בו אחיך או יכשל או יחלש׃

²²The faith which thou hast, have thou to thyself before God. Happy is he that judgeth not himself in that which he approveth.

²²Cette foi que tu as, garde-la pour toi devant Dieu. Heureux celui qui ne se condamne pas lui-même dans ce qu'il approuve!

²²יש לך אמונה תהי לך לבדך לפני האלהים אשרי מי שלא ידין את נפשו בדבר אשר כשר בעיניו׃

²³But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

²³Mais celui qui a des doutes au sujet de ce qu'il mange est condamné, parce qu'il n'agit pas par conviction. Tout ce qui n'est pas le produit d'une conviction est péché.

²³ואשר לו ספק באכלו נאשם כי לא עשה מאמונה וכל אשר נעשה מבלי אמונה חטא הוא,׃
