¹For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthan. A Psalm of David. My soul waiteth in silence for God only: From him [cometh] my salvation.

¹देवाने माझा उध्दार करावा म्हणून मी धीराने वाट पहात आहे. माझे तारण त्याच्याकडूनच येते.

²He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.

²देव माझा किल्ला आहे. तो मला तारतो. देव माझी उंच डोंगरावरची सुरक्षित जागा आहे. खूप मोठे सैन्यदेखील माझा पराभव करु शकणार नाही.

³How long will ye set upon a man, That ye may slay [him], all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?

³किती काळ तू माझ्यावर चाल करुन येणार आहेस? मी एका बाजूला कललेल्या भिंतीसारखा आहे, केव्हाही पडणाऱ्या कुंपणासारखा आहे.

⁴They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity; They delight in lies; They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah

⁴ते लोक माझा नाश करण्याच्या योजना आखत आहेत. ते माझ्याबद्दल खोटनाट सांगतात. ते लोकांमध्ये माझ्याबद्दल चांगल बोलतात पण गुप्तपणे ते मला शाप देतात.

⁵My soul, wait thou in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him.

⁵मी अगदी धीर धरुन देवाने मला वाचवण्याची वाट बघत आहे. देव माझी एकुलती एक आशा आहे.

⁶He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I shall not be moved.

⁶देव माझा किल्ला आहे. देव मला तारतो, देव माझी उंच डोंगरावरील सुरक्षित जागा आहे.

⁷With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

⁷माझा गौरव आणि माझा विजय देवाकडूनच येतो तो माझा भक्‌म किल्ला आहे तो माझी सुरक्षित जागा आहे.

⁸Trust in him at all times, ye people; Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah

⁸लोक हो! देवावर सदैव विश्वास ठेवा. तुम्ही देवाला तुमच्या सर्व समस्या सांगा. देव आपली सुरक्षित जागा आहे.

⁹Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.

⁹लोक खरोखरच मदत करु शकत नाहीत. तुम्ही मदतीसाठी लोकांवर खरोखरच विश्वास टाकू शकत नाही. देवाशी तुलना करता ते हवेतल्या फुंकरीसारखे न गण्य आहेत.

¹⁰Trust not in oppression, And become not vain in robbery: If riches increase, set not your heart [thereon].

¹⁰बळजबरीने वस्तू हिसकावून घेण्यात शक्तीवर विसंबून राहू नका. चोरी केल्यामुळे तुमच्या पदरात काही पडणार आहे असे समजू नका आणि तुम्ही श्रीमंत झाल्यामुळे तुमची श्रीमंती आता तुमच्या कामी येईल याचाही भरंवसा ठेवू नका.

¹¹God hath spoken once, Twice have I heard this, That power belongeth unto God.

¹¹फक्त एकाच गोष्टीवर भरवसा ठेवण्यासारखा आहे असे देव म्हणतो “शक्ती देवापासून येते.”

¹²Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth lovingkindness; For thou renderest to every man according to his work.

¹²प्रभु, तुझे प्रेम खरे आहे. माणूस ज्या गोष्टी करतो त्या नुसार तू त्याला बक्षिस देतोस वा शिक्षा करतोस.
