¹Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.

¹A tak moji milovaní bratia, po ktorých tak veľmi túžim, moja radosť a moja koruna, tak stojte v Pánovi, milovaní!

²I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord.

²Evodiu napomínam i Syntychu napomínam, aby na jedno a na to isté myslely v Pánovi.

³Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

³a prosím aj teba, pravý Syzygu, pomáhaj im, ktoré sa spolu so mnou borily v evanjeliu aj s Klementom a s ostatnými mojimi spolupracovníkmi, ktorých mená sú v knihe života.

⁴Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

⁴Radujte sa v Pánovi vždycky, a zase len poviem: Radujte sa!

⁵Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

⁵Vaša prívetivosť nech je známa všetkým ľuďom. Pán blízko.

⁶In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁶O nič sa nestarajte, ale vo všetkom modlitbou a prosbou s ďakovaním nech sa oznamujú vaše žiadosti Bohu.

⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

⁷A pokoj Boží, ktorý prevyšuje každý rozum, bude strážiť vaše srdcia a vaše mysle v Kristu Ježišovi.

⁸Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁸A ostatne, bratia, všetko, čo je pravdivé, čo je počestné, čo je spravedlivé, čo je mravne čisté, čo je ľúbe, čo je dobropovestné, ak je nejaká ctnosť a jestli nejaká chvála, o tom premýšľajte,

⁹The things which ye both learned and received and heard and saw in me, these things do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

⁹čo ste sa aj naučili a čo ste prijali a počuli a videli na mne, to robte, a Bôh pokoja bude s vami.

¹⁰But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length ye have revived your thought for me; wherein ye did indeed take thought, but ye lacked opportunity.

¹⁰A veľmi som sa zaradoval v Pánovi, že ste sa už raz rozzelenali starať sa o mňa, na čo ste pravda aj mysleli, ale ste nemali príhodného času.

¹¹Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therein to be content.

¹¹Nehovorím toho preto, že by som mal nedostatok; lebo ja som sa naučil mať dosť na tom, čo mám.

¹²I know how to be abased, and I know also how to abound: in everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in want.

¹²Viem byť aj ponížený a viem i mať hojnosť - v každej veci a vo všetkých veciach som vycvičený; viem aj sýtym byť aj lačnieť, mať hojnosť aj trpieť nedostatkom.

¹³I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.

¹³Všetko vládzem v tom, ktorý ma posilňuje, v Kristovi.

¹⁴Howbeit ye did well that ye had fellowship with my affliction.

¹⁴Avšak dobre ste urobili, že ste sa zúčastnili na mojom súžení.

¹⁵And ye yourselves also know, ye Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but ye only;

¹⁵A viete aj vy, Filipänia, že na počiatku evanjelia, keď som odišiel z Macedonie, niktorý sbor sa nezúčastnil na mojich potrebách, aby bol dal a prijal, len vy sami.

¹⁶for even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my need.

¹⁶Lebo aj keď som bol v Tesalonike, i raz i dva razy ste mi poslali na to, čo som potreboval.

¹⁷Not that I seek for the gift; but I seek for the fruit that increaseth to your account.

¹⁷Nie preto, že by som hľadal daru, ale hľadám ovocie, hojne sa množiace na váš účet.

¹⁸But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things [that came] from you, and odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.

¹⁸Ale ta mám všetkého a mám hojnosť; mám všetkého plno prijmúc od Epafrodita, čo ste poslali, ľúbeznú vôňu upokojujúcu, obeť, príjemnú, ľúbu a vzácnu Bohu.

¹⁹And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁹A môj Bôh naplní každú vašu potrebu podľa svojho bohatstva v sláve, v Kristu Ježišovi.

²⁰Now unto our God and Father [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

²⁰A Bohu a nášmu Otcovi nech je sláva na veky vekov. Ameň.

²¹Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren that are with me salute you.

²¹Pozdravte každého svätého v Kristu Ježišovi. Pozdravujú vás bratia, ktorí sú so mnou.

²²All the saints salute you, especially they that are of Caesar's household.

²²Pozdravujú vás všetci svätí a najmä tí, ktorí sú z domu cisárovho.

²³The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

²³Milosť našeho Pána Ježiša Krista nech je so všetkými vami. Ameň.
