1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
1அப்பொழுது சூகியனான பில்தாத் பிரதியுத்தரமாக:
2How long wilt thou speak these things? And [how long] shall the words of thy mouth be [like] a mighty wind?
2நீர் எந்தமட்டும் இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைப் பேசுவீர்? எதுவரைக்கும் உம்முடைய வாயின் வார்த்தைகள் பலமான காற்றைப்போலிருக்கும்?
3Doth God pervert justice? Or doth the Almighty pervert righteousness?
3தேவன் நியாயத்தைப் புரட்டுவாரோ? சர்வவல்லவர் நீதியைப் புரட்டுவாரோ?
4If thy children have sinned against him, And he hath delivered them into the hand of their transgression;
4உம்முடைய பிள்ளைகள் அவருக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்திருந்தாலும் அவர்களுடைய பாதகத்தின் ஆக்கினைக்கு அவர்களை அவர் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருந்தாலும்,
5If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty;
5நீர் தேவனை ஏற்கனவே தேடி, சர்வவல்லவரை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்து,
6If thou wert pure and upright: Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
6சுத்தமும் செம்மையுமாய் இருந்தீரேயானால், அப்பொழுது அவர் உமக்காக விழித்து நீதியுள்ள உம்முடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சாங்கோபாங்கமாக்குவார்.
7And though thy beginning was small, Yet thy latter end would greatly increase.
7உம்முடைய துவக்கம் அற்பமாயிருந்தாலும், உம்முடைய முடிவு சம்பூரணமாயிருக்கும்.
8For inquire, I pray thee, of the former age, And apply thyself to that which their fathers have searched out:
8ஆகையால், நீர் முந்தின தலைமுறையாரிடத்தில் விசாரித்து, அவர்கள் முன்னோர்களின் செய்தியை ஆராய்ந்துபாரும்.
9(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, Because our days upon earth are a shadow);
9நாம் நேற்று உண்டானவர்கள், ஒன்றும் அறியோம்; பூமியின்மேல் நம்முடைய நாட்கள் நிழலைப்போலிருக்கிறது.
10Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, And utter words out of their heart?
10அவர்கள் உமக்கு உபதேசித்து, உமக்குத் தெரிவித்து, தங்கள் இருதயத்திலிருக்கும் நியாயங்களை வெளிப்படுத்துவார்கள் அல்லவோ?
11Can the rush grow up without mire? Can the flag grow without water?
11சேறில்லாமல் நாணல் ஓங்கி வளருமோ? தண்ணீரில்லாமல் கோரைப்புல் முளைக்குமோ?
12Whilst it is yet in its greenness, [and] not cut down, It withereth before any [other] herb.
12அது இன்னும் பச்சையாயிருக்கும்போதே, அறுக்கப்படாதிருந்தும் மற்ற எந்தப் புல்லைப்பார்க்கிலும் சீக்கிரமாய் வாடிப்போம் அல்லவோ?
13So are the paths of all that forget God; And the hope of the godless man shall perish:
13தேவனை மறக்கிற எல்லாருடைய வழிகளும் அப்படியே இருக்கும்; மாயக்காரரின் நம்பிக்கை அழிந்துபோகும்.
14Whose confidence shall break in sunder, And whose trust is a spider's web.
14அவனுடைய வீண் எண்ணம் அற்றுப்போய், அவனுடைய நம்பிக்கை சிலந்திப்பூச்சி வீடுபோலிருக்கும்.
15He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: He shall hold fast thereby, but it shall not endure.
15ஒருவன் அதின் வீட்டின்மேல் சாய்ந்தால், அது நிலைக்கமாட்டாது, அதைப் பிடித்தால், அது நிற்காது.
16He is green before the sun, And his shoots go forth over his garden.
16வெயில் எரிக்காததற்கு முன்னே அவன் பச்சைச்செடி, அதின் கொடிகள் அவன் தோட்டத்தின்மேலே படரும்;
17His roots are wrapped about the [stone] -heap, He beholdeth the place of stones.
17அதின் வேர்கள் கற்குவியலில் சிக்கி, கற்பாறையை நாடும்.
18If he be destroyed from his place, Then it shall deny him, [saying], I have not seen thee.
18அது அதினிடத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமானபின், அது இருந்த இடம் உன்னை நான் கண்டதில்லையென்று மறுதலிக்கும்.
19Behold, this is the joy of his way; And out of the earth shall others spring.
19இதோ, அவன் வழியின் மகிழ்ச்சி இப்படியே போகிறது; ஆனாலும் வேறே பேர் மண்ணிலிருந்து முளைப்பார்கள்.
20Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, Neither will he uphold the evil-doers.
20இதோ, தேவன் உத்தமனை வெறுக்கிறதுமில்லை, பொல்லாதவர்களுக்குக் கைகொடுக்கிறதுமில்லை.
21He will yet fill thy mouth with laughter, And thy lips with shouting.
21இனி அவர் உம்முடைய வாயை நகைப்பினாலும், உம்முடைய உதடுகளைக் கெம்பீரத்தினாலும் நிரப்புவார்.
22They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; And the tent of the wicked shall be no more.
22உம்மைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் வெட்கத்தால் மூடப்படுவார்கள்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய கூடாரம் அழிந்துபோகும் என்றான்.
