¹हुआँ फरीसियन क एक ठु मनई रहा, जेकर नाउँ रहा नीकुदेमुस। उ यहूदियन क नेता रहा।

¹Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

²उ ईसू क लगे रात मँ आवा अउर ओसे बोला, “गुरू, हम जानत अही कि तु गुरू अह्या अउर परमेस्सर तोहका भेजेस, इहइ कारण अहइ कि तू अइसे अइसे अद्भुत कारजन करत अहा। इ सब कारज परमेस्सर क सहायता क बिना कउनो नाहीं करि सकत।”

²The same came to him by night, and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”

³एकरे जवाब मँ ईसू ओहसे कहेस, “मइँ तोहका एकदम सच सच बतावत अहउँ कि अगर कउनो मनई एकदम स नवा जनम न लेइ तउ उ परमेस्सर क राज्य नाहीं देख सकत।”

³Jesus answered him, “Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, The word translated “anew” here and in John 3:7 (anothen) also means “again” and “from above”. he can’t see the Kingdom of God.”

⁴नीकुदेमुस ओसे कहेस, “कउनो मनई बुढ़वा होइ क बाद फिन जनम कइसे लइ सकत ह कउनो अपनी महतारी क कोख मँ घुसि क जनम कहसे लइ सकत ह!”

⁴Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?”

⁵ईसू जवाब दिहेस, “मइँ तोहका सच बतावत अहउँ। अगर कउनो मनई पानी अउर आतिमा स जनम नाहीं लेत तउ उ परमेस्सर क राज्य मँ घुसइ नाहीं पावत।

⁵Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can’t enter into the Kingdom of God!

⁶जउन सरीर स पइदा होइ सकत ह, उहइ सरीर अहइ जउन आतिमा स पइदा होत ह, उहइ आतिमा अहइ।

⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁷मइँ तोहसे जउन बताए अहउँ, ओहमाँ कउनो अचरज करइ क जरुरत नाहीं अहइ, ‘तोहका फिन स जनम लेइ क होई।’

⁷ Don’t marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.’

⁸हवा जउने तरफ चाहत ह, उहइ तरफ बहत ह। तू ओकर आवाज तउ सुनि सकत ह, मुला तू इ नाहीं जानि सकत ह कि उ कहाँ स आवत अहइ अउर कहाँ जात अहइ। आतिमा स पइदा भवा हर एक मनई इहइ तरह अहइ।”

⁸ The wind The same Greek word (pneuma) means wind, breath, and spirit. blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

⁹एकरे जवाब मँ नीकुदेमुस ओसे कहेस, “इ कइसे होइ सकत ह”

⁹Nicodemus answered him, “How can these things be?”

¹⁰ईसू ओका जवाब दिहेस, “तू तउ इस्राएलियन क गुरू अह्या मुला तू इ बात नाहीं जानत रह्या?

¹⁰Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and don’t understand these things?

¹¹सच्ची बात मइँ बतावत अहउँ, हम पचे जउन जानत अही, उहइ बतावत अही, जउन हम देखत अही मुला तू पचे हमरी बात मँ कम बिसवास करत अहा।

¹¹ Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you don’t receive our witness.

¹²मइँ तोहका धरती क बात बतावत अहउँ, अउर तू ओका नाहीं मानत अहा, अबहीं जब मइँ तोहका पचे क सरग क बात बतावउँ तउ तू ओका कइसे मान लेब्या?

¹² If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

¹³सरग मँ कबहुँ कउनो नाहीं गवा, केवल ओका छोड़ कर, जउन सरग स उतरके आवा ह - उहइ मनई क पूत।

¹³ No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

¹⁴“जइसे मूसा रेगिस्तान मँ साँप क उठाइ लिहे रहा वइसे मनई क पूत क ऊपर उठाइ लीन्ह जाई।

¹⁴ As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

¹⁵जइसे कि ओहमाँ बिसवास करइवाले सब मनई अनन्त जीवन पाइ सकइँ।”

¹⁵ that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁶परमेस्सर इ दुनिया स इतना पिरेम करत रहा कि अपने एकलौता पूत क दइ दिहेस, जइसे कि ओहमाँ बिसवास करइवाला कउनो मनई क नास न होइ, ओका अनन्त जीवन मिल जाइ।

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁷परमेस्सर आपन पूत इ बरे नाहीं पठएस कि उ दुनिया क अपराधी साबित करइ, उ तउ इ बरे भेजेस अइसे कि समूची दुनिया क उद्धार होइ जाइ।

¹⁷ For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

¹⁸जउन मनई परमेस्सर क पूत मँ बिसवास करत हीं, ओनका दोसी न ठहरावा जाइ, मुला जे ओनके मँ बिसवास नाहीं करतेन, ओका तउ दोसी ठहरावा जाइ चुका अहइ, काहेकि उ परमेस्सर क एकलौता पूत मँ बिसवास नाहीं करत ह।

¹⁸ He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

¹⁹इ निरनय क आधार इ बाटइ कि ज्योति इ दुनिया मँ आइ गइ अहइ, मुला कछू मनई अइसे अहइँ कि ज्योति क न देखिके आँधियारे क जियादा महत्व देत अहइँ काहेकि ओनके सब करम बुरा अहइँ।

¹⁹ This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

²⁰पाप करइवाला मनई हमेसा ज्योति स घिणा करत ह अउर ओकरे पास कबहूँ नाहीं आवत, एह बरे कि ओकरे पाप क उजागिर होइ क डर बना रहत ह।

²⁰ For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

²¹मुला जउन मनई सच्चाई क रस्ता प चलत ह उ परमेस्सर क द्वारा ज्योति क किरन क लगे अइहीं जइसे इ उजागिर होइ जाइ कि ओके सब कारज परमेस्सर करावत अहइ।

²¹ But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

²²ओकरे बाद ईसू अपने चेलन क साथ यहूदिया क इलाका मँ चला गवा। हुवाँ ओनके साथ ठहरिके उ सब लोगन्ह क बपतिस्मा देइ लाग।

²²After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them, and baptized.

²³हुवाँ प सालेम क नजदीक ऐनोन मँ यूहन्ना भी बपतिस्मा देत रहा, एह बरे कि हुवाँ इफरात मँ पानी रहा। तमाम मनई हुवाँ आवत रहेन अउर बपतिस्मा लेत रहेन।

²³John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came, and were baptized.

²⁴(अब तक यूहन्ना क बंदी नाहीं बनावा ग रहा।)

²⁴For John was not yet thrown into prison.

²⁵अब यूहन्ना क कछू चेलन अउर एक ठु यहूदी क बीच स्वच्छताकरण क लइके बहस होइ लाग।

²⁵There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John’s disciples with some Jews about purification.

²⁶एह बरे उ सब यूहन्ना क लगे आएन अउर कहेन, “गुरु, जउन मनई यरदन क ओहॅ पार तोहरे साथ रहा अउर जेकरे बारे मँ तू बताए रह्या, उ लोगन्ह क बपतिस्मा देत अहइ, अउर सब मनई ओकरे पास जात अहइँ।”

²⁶They came to John, and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, the same baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

²⁷एकरे जवाब मँ यूहन्ना कहेस, “कउनो मनई क तब तक कछू नाहीं मिल सकत जब तक कि ओका परमेस्सर स न दीन्ह ग होइ।

²⁷John answered, “A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven.

²⁸तू पचे इ बात क साच्छी अहा कि मइँ कहे रहेउँ, ‘मइँ मसीह न अहउँ मोका तउ ओकरे बरे रस्ता बनाइ बरे पठवा गवा अहइ।’

²⁸You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’

²⁹दूल्हा तउ उहइ बा, जेका दुलहिन मिलइ। मुला दूल्हा क दोस्त जउन ओकरे अगुवाई मँ खड़ा रहत ह जब दूल्हा क आवाज सुनत ह, तउ बहुत खुस होत ह। इहइ मोर खुसी अहइ जउन अब पूरी भइ।

²⁹He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. This, my joy, therefore is made full.

³⁰अब इ जरुरी अहइ कि ओकर महिमा बढ़इ अउर मोर कम होइ।

³⁰He must increase, but I must decrease.

³¹“जउन ऊपर स आवत ह, उ सबसे महान अहइ। उ जउन घरती स बाटइ, धरती स जुड़ा अहइ। एह बरे उ धरती क चीजन क बारे माँ बात करत ह। जउन सरग स उतरा ह, सबके ऊपर अहइँ,

³¹He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

³²उ जउन कछू देखे अहइ, अउर सुने अहइ, उ ओकर साच्छी देत ह अउर ओकर साच्छी क कउनो मनई नाहीं चाहत।

³²What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.

³³जउन ओकरी साच्छी क मानत ह, उ प्रमाणित करत ह कि परमेस्सर सच्चा अहइ।

³³He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.

³⁴काहे बरे कि जेका परमेस्सर पठए अहइ, परमेस्सर क बातन करत ह। काहोकि परमेस्सर ओका आतिमा क अनन्त दान दिहे अहइ।

³⁴For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

³⁵परमपिता अपने पूत क स पिरेम करत ह अउर ओकरे हाथे मँ उ सब कछू क अधिकार सौंपि दिहेस।

³⁵The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

³⁶एह बरे जउन ओकरे पूत मँ बिसवास करत ह, अनन्त जीवन पइहइँ मुला जे परमेस्सर क पूत क बात नाहीं मानत ओका इ जीवन नाहीं मिली। एकरे बजाय उ परमेस्सर क कोप का भाजन बनी।”

³⁶One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys The same word can be translated “disobeys” or “disbelieves” in this context. the Son won’t see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
