¹Trećeg dana bijaše svadba u Kani Galilejskoj. Bila ondje Isusova majka.

¹And on the third day a marriage took place in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

²Na svadbu bijaše pozvan i Isus i njegovi učenici.

²And Jesus also, and his disciples, were invited to the marriage.

³Kad ponesta vina, Isusu će njegova majka: "Vina nemaju."

³And wine being deficient, the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine.

⁴Kaže joj Isus: "Ženo, što ja imam s tobom? Još nije došao moj čas!"

⁴Jesus says to her, What have I to do with thee, woman? mine hour has not yet come.

⁵Nato će njegova mati poslužiteljima: "Što god vam rekne, učinite!"

⁵His mother says to the servants, Whatever he may say to you, do.

⁶A bijaše ondje Židovima za čišćenje šest kamenih posuda od po dvije do tri mjere.

⁶Now there were standing there six stone water-vessels, according to the purification of the Jews, holding two or three measures each.

⁷Kaže Isus poslužiteljima: "Napunite posude vodom!" I napune ih do vrha.

⁷Jesus says to them, Fill the water-vessels with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

⁸Tada im reče: "Zagrabite sada i nosite ravnatelju stola." Oni odnesu.

⁸And he says to them, Draw out now, and carry [it] to the feast-master. And they carried [it].

⁹Kad okusi vodu što posta vinom, a nije znao odakle je - znale su sluge koje zagrabiše vodu - ravnatelj stola pozove zaručnika

⁹But when the feast-master had tasted the water which had been made wine (and knew not whence it was, but the servants knew who drew the water), the feast-master calls the bridegroom,

¹⁰i kaže mu: "Svaki čovjek stavlja na stol najprije dobro vino, a kad se ponapiju, gore. Ti si čuvao dobro vino sve do sada."

¹⁰and says to him, Every man sets on first the good wine, and when [men] have well drunk, then the inferior; thou hast kept the good wine till now.

¹¹Tako, u Kani Galilejskoj, učini Isus prvo znamenje i objavi svoju slavu te povjerovaše u njega njegovi učenici.

¹¹This beginning of signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

¹²Nakon toga siđe sa svojom majkom, s braćom i sa svojim učenicima u Kafarnaum. Ondje ostadoše nekoliko dana.

¹²After this he descended to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brethren and his disciples; and there they abode not many days.

¹³Blizu bijaše židovska Pasha. Stoga Isus uziđe u Jeruzalem.

¹³And the passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

¹⁴U Hramu nađe prodavače volova, ovaca i golubova i mjenjače gdje sjede.

¹⁴And he found in the temple the sellers of oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting;

¹⁵I načini bič od užeta te ih sve istjera iz Hrama zajedno s ovcama i volovima. Mjenjačima rasu novac i stolove isprevrta,

¹⁵and, having made a scourge of cords, he cast [them] all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the change of the money-changers, and overturned the tables,

¹⁶a prodavačima golubova reče: "Nosite to odavde i ne činite od kuće Oca mojega kuću trgovačku."

¹⁶and said to the sellers of doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.

¹⁷Prisjetiše se njegovi učenici da je pisano: Izjeda me revnost za Dom tvoj.

¹⁷[And] his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal of thy house devours me.

¹⁸Nato se umiješaju Židovi i upitaju ga: "Koje nam znamenje možeš pokazati da to smiješ činiti?"

¹⁸The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign shewest thou to us, that thou doest these things?

¹⁹Odgovori im Isus: "Razvalite ovaj hram i ja ću ga u tri dana podići."

¹⁹Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

²⁰Rekoše mu nato Židovi: "Četrdeset i šest godina gradio se ovaj Hram, a ti da ćeš ga u tri dana podići?"

²⁰The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple building, and thou wilt raise it up in three days?

²¹No on je govorio o hramu svoga tijela.

²¹But *he* spoke of the temple of his body.

²²Pošto uskrsnu od mrtvih, prisjetiše se njegovi učenici da je to htio reći te povjerovaše Pismu i besjedi koju Isus reče.

²²When therefore he was raised from among [the] dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

²³Dok je boravio u Jeruzalemu o blagdanu Pashe, mnogi povjerovaše u njegovo ime promatrajući znamenja koja je činio.

²³And when he was in Jerusalem, at the passover, at the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he wrought.

²⁴No sam se Isus njima nije povjeravao jer ih je sve dobro poznavao

²⁴But Jesus himself did not trust himself to them, because he knew all [men],

²⁵i nije trebalo da mu tko daje svjedočanstvo o čovjeku: ta sam je dobro znao što je u čovjeku.

²⁵and that he had not need that any should testify of man, for himself knew what was in man.
