1Pravednici, Jahvi kličite! Hvaliti ga pristoji se čestitima.
1Exult, ye righteous, in Jehovah: praise is comely for the upright.
2Slavite Jahvu na harfi, na liri od deset žica veličajte njega!
2Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp; sing psalms unto him with the ten-stringed lute.
3Pjesmu novu zapjevajte njemu i glazbala skladna popratite poklicima.
3Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud sound.
4Jer prÓava je riječ Jahvina i vjernost su sva djela njegova.
4For the word of Jehovah is right, and all his work is in faithfulness.
5On ljubi pravdu i pravo: puna je zemlja dobrote Jahvine.
5He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the loving-kindness of Jehovah.
6Jahvinom su riječju nebesa sazdana i dahom usta njegovih sva vojska njihova.
6By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7Vodu morsku on sabire kao u mješinu i bezdane stavlja u spremišta.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; he layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
8Zemlja sva neka pred Jahvom strepi, neka ga se boje svi stanovnici svijeta!
8Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9Jer on reče - i sve postade, naredi - i sve se stvori.
9For *he* spoke, and it was [done]; *he* commanded, and it stood fast.
10Jahve razbija nakane pucima, mrsi namjere narodima.
10Jehovah frustrateth the counsel of the nations; he maketh the thoughts of the peoples of none effect.
11Naum Jahvin dovijeka ostaje i misli srca njegova od koljena do koljena.
11The counsel of Jehovah standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12Blago narodu kojemu je Jahve Bog, Narodu koji on odabra sebi za baštinu!
12Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance!
13Gospodin motri s nebesa i gleda sve sinove čovječje.
13Jehovah looketh from the heavens; he beholdeth all the sons of men:
14Iz svoga prebivališta motri sve stanovnike zemaljske:
14From the place of his habitation he looketh forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15on je svima srca stvorio i pazi na sva djela njihova.
15He who fashioneth the hearts of them all, who considereth all their works.
16Ne spasava kralja vojska mnogobrojna, ne spasava velika sila junaka.
16The king is not saved by the multitude of [his] forces; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17Isprazno se od konja nadati spasenju, jačina njegova ne izbavlja.
17The horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth he deliver by his great power.
18Oko je Jahvino nad onima koji ga se boje, nad onima koji se uzdaju u milost njegovu:
18Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his loving-kindness,
19da im od smrti život spasi, da ih hrani u danima gladi.
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20Naša se duša Jahvi nada, on je pomoć i zaštita naša.
20Our soul waiteth for Jehovah: he is our help and our shield.
21Srce nam se u njemu raduje, u njegovo sveto ime mi se uzdamo.
21For in him shall our heart rejoice, because we have confided in his holy name.
22Neka dobrota tvoja, o Jahve, bude nad nama, kao što se mi u tebe uzdamo!
22Let thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
