1{A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.} Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2Jahve, u srdžbi svojoj nemoj ne karati, i nemoj me kazniti u svojemu gnjevu.
2For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand cometh down upon me.
3Strijele se tvoje u me zabodoše, ruka me tvoja teško pritisnu:
3There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; no peace in my bones, because of my sin.
4na tijelu mi ništa zdravo nema zbog gnjeva tvog, od grijeha mojih mira mi nema kostima.
4For mine iniquities are gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5Zloće moje glavu su mi nadišle, kao preteško breme tište me.
5My wounds stink, they are corrupt, because of my foolishness.
6Rane moje zaudaraju i gnjiju zbog bezumnosti moje.
6I am depressed; I am bowed down beyond measure; I go mourning all the day.
7Pogurih se sav i zgrčih, povazdan lutam žalostan.
7For my loins are full of burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8Moji bokovi puni su ognjice, na tijelu mi ništa zdravo nema.
8I am faint and broken beyond measure; I roar by reason of the agitation of my heart.
9Iscrpljen sam i satrven posve, stenjem od jecanja srca svojega.
9Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.
10O Gospode, sve su mi želje pred tobom, i vapaji moji nisu ti skriveni.
10My heart throbbeth, my strength hath left me; and the light of mine eyes, it also is no more with me.
11Srce mi udara silno, snaga me ostavlja i svjetlost vida očinjeg gasi se.
11My lovers and mine associates stand aloof from my stroke; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12Prijatelji i drugovi od rana mojih uzmakoše, i moji najbliži stoje daleko.
12And they that seek after my life lay snares [for me]; and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all the day long.
13Namještaju mi zamke oni koji mi život vrebaju, koji mi žele nesreću, propašću mi prijete i uvijek smišljaju prijevare.
13But I, as a deaf [man], hear not; and am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14A ja sam kao gluh i ništa ne čujem i, kao nijem, usta ne otvaram.
14Yea, I am as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15Postadoh k'o čovjek koji ne čuje i koji u ustima nema odgovora.
15For in thee, Jehovah, do I hope: *thou* wilt answer, O Lord my God.
16Jer u tebe se, o Jahve, uzdam, ti ćeš me uslišati, Jahve, Bože moj!
16For I said, Let them not rejoice over me! When my foot slipped, they magnified [themselves] against me.
17Rekoh: "Nek' se ne raduju nada mnom; kad mi noga posrne, nek' se ne uzdižu nada mnom!"
17For I am ready to halt, and my pain is continually before me.
18Jer umalo ne propadoh, i moja je bol svagda preda mnom.
18For I will declare mine iniquity, I am grieved for my sin.
19Bezakonje svoje ja priznajem i pun sam žalosti zbog grijeha svojega.
19But mine enemies are lively, they are strong; and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied:
20A koji su bez razloga protiv mene, moćni su, i mnogi su koji me mrze nepravedno.
20And they that render evil for good are adversaries unto me; because I pursue what is good.
21Za dobro zlom mi uzvraćaju, protive mi se što tražim dobro.
21Forsake me not, Jehovah; O my God, be not far from me.
22O Jahve, ne ostavljaj me! Bože moj, ne udaljuj se od mene!
22Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
23Požuri se meni u pomoć, Gospode, spase moj!
