1The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks, and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.
2Z Siona v dokonalé kráse Bůh zastkvěl se.
2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.
3Béřeť se Bůh náš, a nebude mlčeti; oheň před ním vše zžírati bude, a vůkol něho vichřice náramná.
3Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him.
4Zavolal nebes s hůry i země, aby soudil lid svůj, řka:
4He calls to the heavens above, to the earth, that he may judge his people:
5Shromažďte mi svaté mé, kteříž smlouvu se mnou učinili při obětech.
5“Gather my saints together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
6I budou vypravovati nebesa spravedlnost jeho; nebo sám Bůh soudce jest. Sélah.
6The heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah.
7Slyš, lide můj, a buduť mluviti, Izraeli, a buduť tebou osvědčovati. Já zajisté Bůh, Bůh tvůj jsem.
7“Hear, my people, and I will speak; Israel, and I will testify against you. I am God, your God.
8Nechci tě obviňovati z příčiny obětí tvých, ani zápalů tvých, že by vždycky přede mnou nebyli.
8I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.
9Nevezmuť z domu tvého volka, ani z chlévů tvých kozlů.
9I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens.
10Nebo má jest všecka zvěř lesní, i hovada na tisíci horách.
10For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills.
11Já znám všecko ptactvo po horách, a zvěř polní před sebou mám.
11I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine.
12Zlačním-li, nic tobě o to nedím; nebo můj jest okršlek zemský i plnost jeho.
12If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
13Zdaliž jídám maso z volů, a pijím krev kozlovou?
13Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14Obětuj Bohu obět chvály, a plň Nejvyššímu své sliby;
14Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High.
15A vzývej mne v den ssoužení, vytrhnu tě, a ty mne budeš slaviti.
15Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
16Sic jinak bezbožníku praví Bůh: Což tobě do toho, že ty vypravuješ ustanovení má, a béřeš smlouvu mou v ústa svá,
16But to the wicked God says, “What right do you have to declare my statutes, that you have taken my covenant on your lips,
17Poněvadž jsi vzal v nenávist kázeň, a zavrhl jsi za sebe slova má.
17since you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you?
18Vidíš-li zloděje, hned s ním běžíš, a s cizoložníky díl svůj máš.
18When you saw a thief, you consented with him, and have participated with adulterers.
19Ústa svá pouštíš ke zlému, a jazyk tvůj skládá lest.
19“You give your mouth to evil. Your tongue frames deceit.
20Usazuješ se, a mluvíš proti bratru svému, a na syna matky své lehkost uvodíš.
20You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother’s son.
21To jsi činil, a já mlčel jsem. Měl-liž jsi ty se domnívati, že já tobě podobný budu? Nýbrž trestati tě budu, a představímť to před oči tvé.
21You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.
22Srozumějtež tomu již aspoň vy, kteříž se zapomínáte na Boha, abych snad nepochytil, a nebyl by, kdo by vytrhl.
22“Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23Kdož obětuje obět chvály, tenť mne uctí, a tomu, kdož napravuje cestu svou, ukáži spasení Boží.
23Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God’s salvation to him.”
