Job

16

1 Atebodd Job:
1And Job answered and said,
2 "Yr wyf wedi clywed llawer o bethau fel hyn; cysurwyr sy'n peri blinder ydych chwi i gyd.
2I have heard many such things: grievous comforters are ye all.
3 A oes terfyn i eiriau gwyntog? Neu beth sy'n dy gythruddo i ddadlau?
3Shall words of wind have an end? or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?
4 Gallwn innau siarad fel chwithau, pe baech chwi yn fy safle i; gallwn blethu geiriau yn eich erbyn, ac ysgwyd fy mhen arnoch.
4I also could speak as ye: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could join together words against you, and shake my head at you;
5 Gallwn eich calonogi 'm genau, a'ch esmwythu geiriau fy ngwefusau.
5[But] I would encourage you with my mouth, and the solace of my lips should assuage [your pain].
6 "Os llefaraf, ni phaid fy mhoen, ac os tawaf, ni chilia oddi wrthyf.
6If I speak, my pain is not assuaged; and if I forbear, what am I eased?
7 Ond yn awr gosodwyd blinder arnaf; anrheithiaist fy holl gydnabod.
7But now he hath made me weary; ... thou hast made desolate all my family;
8 Crychaist fy nghroen, a thystia hyn yn f'erbyn; saif fy nheneuwch i'm cyhuddo.
8Thou hast shrivelled me up! it is become a witness; and my leanness riseth up against me, it beareth witness to my face.
9 Yn ei gynddaredd rhwygodd fi mewn casineb, ac ysgyrnygu ei ddannedd arnaf; llygadrytha fy ngelynion arnaf.
9His anger teareth and pursueth me; he gnasheth with his teeth against me; [as] mine adversary he sharpeneth his eyes at me.
10 Cegant yn wawdlyd arnaf, trawant fy ngrudd mewn dirmyg, unant yn dyrfa yn f'erbyn.
10They gape upon me with their mouth; they smite my cheeks reproachfully; they range themselves together against me.
11 Rhydd Duw fi yng ngafael yr annuwiol, a'm taflu i ddwylo'r anwir.
11ùGod hath delivered me over to the iniquitous man, and hurled me into the hands of the wicked.
12 Yr oeddwn mewn esmwythyd, ond drylliodd fi; cydiodd yn fy ngwar a'm llarpio; gosododd fi yn nod iddo anelu ato.
12I was at rest, but he hath shattered me; he hath taken me by the neck and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
13 Yr oedd ei saethwyr o'm hamgylch; trywanodd i'm harennau'n ddidrugaredd, a thywalltwyd fy mustl ar y llawr.
13His arrows encompass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.
14 Gwnaeth rwyg ar l rhwyg ynof; rhuthrodd arnaf fel ymladdwr.
14He breaketh me with breach upon breach; he runneth upon me like a mighty man.
15 "Gwnais sachliain am fy nghroen, a chuddiais fy nghorun yn y llwch.
15I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and rolled my horn in the dust.
16 Cochodd fy wyneb gan ddagrau, daeth dwch ar fy amrannau,
16My face is red with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
17 er nad oes trais ar fy nwylo, ac er bod fy ngweddi'n ddilys.
17Although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.
18 "O ddaear, na chuddia fy ngwaed, ac na fydded gorffwys i'm cri.
18O earth, cover not my blood, and let there be no place for my cry!
19 Oherwydd wele, yn y nefoedd y mae fy nhyst, ac yn yr uchelder y mae'r Un a dystia drosof.
19Even now, behold, my Witness is in the heavens, and he that voucheth for me is in the heights.
20 Er bod fy nghyfeillion yn fy ngwawdio, difera fy llygad ddagrau gerbron Duw,
20My friends are my mockers; mine eye poureth out tears unto +God.
21 fel y bo barn gyfiawn rhwng pob un a Duw, fel sydd rhwng rhywun a'i gymydog.
21Oh that there were arbitration for a man with +God, as a son of man for his friend!
22 Ychydig flynyddoedd sydd i ddod cyn imi fynd ar hyd llwybr na ddychwelaf arno.
22For years [few] in number shall pass, -- and I shall go the way [whence] I shall not return.
