Job

18

1 Yna atebodd Bildad y Suhiad:
1And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
2 "Pa bryd y rhowch derfyn ar eiriau? Ystyriwch yn bwyllog, yna gallwn siarad.
2How long will ye hunt for words? Be intelligent, and then we will speak.
3 Pam yr ystyrir ni fel anifeiliaid, ac y cyfrifir ni'n hurt yn eich golwg?
3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed stupid in your sight?
4 Un yn ei rwygo'i hun yn ei lid! A wneir y ddaear yn ddiffaith er dy fwyn di? A symudir y graig o'i lle?
4Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?
5 "Fe ddiffydd goleuni'r drygionus, ac ni chynnau fflam ei dn.
5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the flame of his fire shall not shine.
6 Fe dywylla'r goleuni yn ei babell, a diffydd ei lamp uwch ei ben.
6The light shall become dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out.
7 Byrhau a wna'i gamau cryfion, a'i gyngor ei hun a wna iddo syrthio.
7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
8 Fe'i gyrrir ef i'r rhwyd gan ei draed ei hun; y mae'n sangu ar y rhwydwaith.
8For he is sent into the net by his own feet, and he walketh on the meshes;
9 Cydia'r trap yn ei sawdl, ac fe'i delir yn y groglath.
9The gin taketh [him] by the heel, the snare layeth hold on him;
10 Cuddiwyd cortyn iddo ar y ddaear, ac y mae magl ar ei lwybr.
10A cord is hidden for him in the ground, and his trap in the way.
11 Y mae ofnau o bob tu yn ei ddychryn, ac yn ymlid ar ei l.
11Terrors make him afraid on every side, and chase him at his footsteps.
12 Pan ddaw pall ar ei gryfder, yna y mae dinistr yn barod am ei gwymp.
12His strength is hunger-bitten, and calamity is ready at his side.
13 Ysir ei groen gan glefyd, a llyncir ei aelodau gan Gyntafanedig Angau;
13The firstborn of death devoureth the members of his body; it will devour his members.
14 yna cipir ef o'r babell yr ymddiriedai ef ynddi, a'i ddwyn at Frenin Braw.
14His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and it shall lead him away to the king of terrors:
15 Bydd estron yn trigo yn ei babell, a gwasgerir brwmstan ar ei annedd.
15They who are none of his shall dwell in his tent; brimstone shall be showered upon his habitation:
16 "Crina'i wraidd oddi tanodd, a gwywa'i ganghennau uwchben.
16His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off;
17 Derfydd y cof amdano o'r tir, ac nid erys ei enw yn y wlad.
17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name on the pasture-grounds.
18 Fe'i gwthir o oleuni i dywyllwch, ac erlidir ef o'r byd.
18He is driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19 Ni bydd disgynnydd na hil iddo ymysg ei bobl, nac olynydd iddo yn ei drigfan.
19He hath neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining in the places of his sojourn.
20 Synnant yn y Gorllewin o achos ei dynged, ac arswydant yn y Dwyrain.
20They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before [them] were affrighted.
21 Yn wir dyma drigfannau'r anghyfiawn; hwn yw lle'r un nad yw'n adnabod Duw."
21Surely, such are the dwellings of the unrighteous man, and such the place of him that knoweth not ùGod.
