Job

22

1 Yna atebodd Eliffas y Temaniad:
1And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
2 "A yw unrhyw un o werth i Dduw? Onid iddo'i hun y mae'r doeth o werth?
2Can a man be profitable to ùGod? surely it is unto himself that the wise man is profitable.
3 A oes boddhad i'r Hollalluog pan wyt yn gyfiawn, neu elw iddo pan wyt yn rhodio'n gywir?
3Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if thou art righteous? And is it gain [to him] that thou makest thy ways perfect?
4 Ai am dy dduwioldeb y mae'n dy geryddu, ac yn dy ddwyn i farn?
4Will he reason with thee for fear of thee? Will he enter with thee into judgment?
5 Onid yw dy ddrygioni'n fawr, a'th gamwedd yn ddiderfyn?
5Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities without end?
6 Cymeri wystl gan dy gymrodyr yn ddiachos, a dygi ymaith ddillad y tlawd.
6For thou hast taken a pledge of thy brother for nought, and stripped off the clothing of the naked.
7 Ni roddi ddu373?r i'r lluddedig i'w yfed, a gwrthodi fara i'r newynog.
7Thou hast not given water to the fainting to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
8 Y cryf sy'n meddiannu'r tir, a'r ffefryn a drig ynddo.
8But the powerful man, he had the land; and the man of high rank dwelt in it.
9 Gyrri'r weddw ymaith yn waglaw, ac ysigi freichiau'r amddifad.
9Widows hast thou sent empty away, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
10 Am hyn y mae maglau o'th gwmpas, a daw ofn disymwth i'th lethu,
10Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
11 a thywyllwch fel na elli weld, a bydd dyfroedd yn dy orchuddio.
11Or darkness, that thou canst not see, and floods of waters cover thee.
12 "Onid yw Duw yn uchder y nefoedd yn edrych i lawr ar y sr sy mor uchel?
12Is not +God in the height of the heavens? And behold the summit of the stars: how exalted are they!
13 Felly dywedi, 'Beth a u373?yr Duw? A all ef farnu trwy'r tywyllwch?
13And thou sayest, What doth ùGod know? will he judge through the dark cloud?
14 Cymylau na wl trwyddynt sy'n ei guddio, ac ar gylch y nefoedd y mae'n rhodio.'
14Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh on the vault of the heavens.
15 A gedwi di at yr hen ffordd y rhodiodd y drygionus ynddi?
15Dost thou mark the ancient path which wicked men have trodden?
16 Cipiwyd hwy ymaith cyn pryd, pan ysgubwyd ymaith eu sylfaen gan lif afon.
16Who were carried off before the time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood;
17 Dyma'r rhai a ddywedodd wrth Dduw, 'Cilia oddi wrthym'. Beth a wnaeth yr Hollalluog iddynt hwy?
17Who said unto ùGod, Depart from us! and what could the Almighty do to them?
18 Er iddo lenwi eu tai daioni, pell yw cyngor y drygionus oddi wrtho.
18Yet he filled their houses with good. But the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19 Gwl y cyfiawn hyn, a llawenha; a gwatwerir hwy gan y dieuog.
19The righteous see it, and are glad; and the innocent laugh them to scorn:
20 Yn wir, dinistriwyd eu cynhaeaf, ac ysodd y tn eu llawnder.
20Is not he who rose against us destroyed, and doth not the fire consume his residue?
21 "Cytuna ag ef, a chei lwyddiant; trwy hyn y daw daioni i ti.
21Reconcile thyself now with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
22 Derbyn gyfarwyddyd o'i enau, a chadw ei eiriau yn dy galon.
22Receive, I pray thee, instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in thy heart.
23 Os dychweli at yr Hollalluog mewn gwirionedd, a gyrru anghyfiawnder ymhell o'th babell,
23If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. If thou remove unrighteousness far from thy tents,
24 os ystyri aur fel pridd, aur Offir fel cerrig y nentydd,
24And put the precious ore with the dust, and [the gold of] Ophir among the stones of the torrents,
25 yna bydd yr Hollalluog yn aur iti, ac yn arian pur.
25Then the Almighty will be thy precious ore, and silver heaped up unto thee;
26 Yna cei ymhyfrydu yn yr Hollalluog, a dyrchafu dy wyneb at Dduw.
26Yea, then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto +God:
27 Cei weddo arno, ac fe'th wrendy, a byddi'n cyflawni dy addunedau.
27Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he will hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows;
28 Pan wnei gynllun, fe lwydda iti, a llewyrcha goleuni ar dy ffyrdd.
28And thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and light shall shine upon thy ways.
29 Fe ddarostyngir y rhai a ystyri'n falch; yr isel ei fryd a wareda ef.
29When they are made low, then thou shalt say, Rise up! and he shall save him that is of downcast eyes.
30 Fe achub ef y dieuog; achubir ef am fod ei ddwylo'n ln."
30[Even] him that is not innocent shall he deliver; yea, he shall be delivered by the pureness of thy hands.
