Darby's Translation

Job

33

1 "Ond yn awr, Job, gwrando arnaf, a chlustfeinia ar fy ngeiriau i gyd.
1Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear mine utterances, and hearken to all my words.
2 Dyma fi'n agor fy ngwefusau, a'm tafod yn llefaru yn fy ngenau.
2Behold now, I have opened my mouth, my tongue speaketh in my palate,
3 Y mae fy ngeiriau'n mynegi fy meddwl yn onest, a'm gwefusau wybodaeth yn ddiffuant.
3My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart, and my lips shall utter knowledge purely.
4 Ysbryd Duw a'm lluniodd, ac anadl yr Hollalluog a'm ceidw'n fyw.
4The Spirit of ùGod hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
5 Ateb fi, os medri; trefna dy achos, a saf o'm blaen.
5If thou canst, answer me; array [thy words] before me: take thy stand.
6 Ystyria, o flaen Duw yr wyf finnau yr un fath thithau; o glai y'm lluniwyd innau hefyd.
6Behold, before ùGod I am as thou; I also am formed out of the clay.
7 Ni ddylai arswyd rhagof fi dy barlysu; ni fyddaf yn llawdrwm arnat.
7Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, nor my burden be heavy upon thee.
8 "Yn wir, dywedaist yn fy nghlyw, a chlywais innau dy eiriau'n glir:
8Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of [thy] words: --
9 'Rwy'n ln, heb drosedd; rwy'n bur heb gamwedd.
9I am clean without transgression; I am pure, and there is no iniquity in me;
10 Ond y mae Duw yn codi cwynion yn fy erbyn, ac yn f'ystyried yn elyn iddo,
10Lo, he findeth occasions of hostility against me, he counteth me for his enemy;
11 yn gosod fy nhraed mewn cyffion, ac yn gwylio fy holl ffyrdd.'
11He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
12 "Nid wyt yn iawn yn hyn, a dyma f'ateb iti: Y mae Duw yn fwy na meidrolyn.
12Behold, I will answer thee in this, thou art not right; for +God is greater than man.
13 Pam yr wyt yn ymgecru ag ef, oherwydd nid oes ateb i'r un o'i eiriau?
13Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
14 Mae Duw yn llefaru unwaith ac eilwaith, ond nid oes neb yn cymryd sylw.
14For ùGod speaketh once, and twice, -- [and man] perceiveth it not --
15 Mewn breuddwyd, mewn gweledigaeth nos, pan ddaw trymgwsg ar bobl, pan gysgant yn eu gwelyau,
15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
16 yna fe wna iddynt wrando, a'u dychryn rhybuddion,
16Then he openeth men's ears, and sealeth their instruction,
17 i droi rhywun oddi wrth ei weithred, a chymryd ymaith ei falchder oddi wrtho,
17That he may withdraw man [from his] work, and hide pride from man.
18 a gwaredu ei einioes rhag y pwll, a'i fywyd rhag croesi afon angau.
18He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from passing away by the sword.
19 "Fe'i disgyblir ar ei orwedd  chryndod di-baid yn ei esgyrn;
19He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and with constant strife in his bones;
20 y mae bwyd yn ffiaidd ganddo, ac nid oes arno chwant am damaid blasus;
20And his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty food;
21 nycha'i gnawd o flaen fy llygad, a daw'r esgyrn, na welid gynt, i'r amlwg;
21His flesh is consumed away from view, and his bones that were not seen stick out;
22 y mae ei einioes ar ymyl y pwll, a'i fywyd ger mangre'r meirw.
22And his soul draweth near to the pit, and his life to the destroyers.
23 Os oes angel i sefyll drosto un o blith mil i gyfryngu ac i ddadlau ei hawl drosto,
23If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his duty;
24 a thrugarhau wrtho gan ddweud, 'Achub ef rhag mynd i'r pwll; y mae pris ei ryddid gennyf fi'
24Then he will be gracious unto him, and say, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
25 yna bydd ei gnawd yn iachach nag erioed, wedi ei adfer fel yr oedd yn nyddiau ei ieuenctid.
25His flesh shall be fresher than in childhood; he shall return to the days of his youth.
26 Bydd yn gweddo ar Dduw, ac yntau'n ei wrando; bydd yn edrych ar ei wyneb mewn llawenydd, gan ddweud wrth eraill am ei gyfiawnhad
26He shall pray unto +God, and he will receive him with favour; and he shall see his face with shoutings, and he will render unto man his righteousness.
27 a chanu yn eu gu373?ydd, a dweud, 'Pechais, gan droi oddi wrth uniondeb, ond ni chyfrifwyd hyn yn f'erbyn;
27He will sing before men, and say, I have sinned, and perverted what was right, and it hath not been requited to me;
28 gwaredodd f'einioes rhag mynd i'r pwll, ac fe wl fy mywyd oleuni.'
28He hath delivered my soul from going into the pit, and my life shall see the light.
29 "Gwna Duw hyn i gyd i feidrolyn ddwywaith, ie deirgwaith;
29Lo, all these [things] worketh ùGod twice, thrice, with man,
30 fe adfer ei einioes o'r pwll, er mwyn iddo gael gweld goleuni bywyd.
30To bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
31 Ystyria, Job, a gwrando arnaf; bydd dawel ac mi lefaraf.
31Mark well, Job, hearken unto me; be silent, and I will speak.
32 Os oes gennyt ddadl, ateb fi; llefara, oherwydd fy nymuniad yw dy gyfiawnhau.
32If thou hast anything to say, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify thee.
33 Ond os nad oes gennyt ddim i'w ddweud, gwrando arnaf; bydd dawel, a dysgaf ddoethineb i ti."
33If not, hearken thou unto me; be silent, and I will teach thee wisdom.
