1 Dywedodd Elihu:
1Moreover Elihu answered and said,
2 "A gredi di fod hyn yn iawn? A wyt ti'n honni bod yn gyfiawn o flaen Duw,
2Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than ùGod's?
3 a thithau'n dweud, 'Pa werth ydyw i ti, neu pa fantais i mi fy hun fod heb bechu?'?
3For thou hast asked of what profit it is unto thee: what do I gain more than if I had sinned?
4 Fe roddaf fi'r ateb iti, a hefyd i'th gyfeillion.
4I will reply to thee in words, and to thy companions with thee.
5 Edrych ar yr awyr, ac ystyria, a sylwa ar y cymylau sydd uwch dy ben.
5Look unto the heavens and see; and survey the skies: they are higher than thou.
6 Os pechaist, pa wahaniaeth yw iddo ef? Ac os amlha dy droseddau, beth a wna hynny iddo ef?
6If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? If thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
7 Os wyt yn gyfiawn, beth yw'r fantais iddo ef, neu beth a dderbyn ef o'th law?
7If thou be righteous, what givest thou to him? or what doth he receive of thy hand?
8 meidrolion fel ti y mae a wnelo dy ddrygioni, ac phobl y mae a wnelo dy gyfiawnder.
8Thy wickedness [may affect] a man as thou [art], and thy righteousness a son of man.
9 "Pan waedda pobl dan faich gorthrwm, a llefain am waredigaeth o afael y mawrion,
9By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry; they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty:
10 ni ddywed neb, 'Ble mae Duw, fy ngwneuthurwr, a rydd destun cn yn y nos,
10But none saith, Where is +God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night,
11 ac a'n gwna'n fwy deallus na'r anifeiliaid gwylltion, ac yn fwy doeth nag adar yr awyr?'
11Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowl of the heavens?
12 Felly, er iddynt weiddi, nid etyb ef, o achos balchder y drygionus.
12There they cry, and he answereth not, because of the pride of evil men.
13 Ofer yn wir! Nid yw Duw'n gwrando arno, ac nid yw'r Hollalluog yn cymryd sylw ohono.
13Surely ùGod will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
14 nac ychwaith ohonot tithau pan ddywedi nad wyt yn ei weld, a bod yr achos o'i flaen, a'th fod yn dal i ddisgwyl wrtho.
14Although thou sayest thou dost not see him, judgment is before him, therefore wait for him.
15 Ond yn awr, am nad yw ef yn cosbi yn ei ddig, ac nad yw'n sylwi'n fanwl ar gamwedd,
15But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, doth not [Job] know [his] great arrogancy?
16 fe lefarodd Job yn ynfyd, ac amlhau geiriau heb ddeall."
16For Job hath opened his mouth in vanity, and made words abundant without knowledge.
