1 Yna atebodd yr ARGLWYDD Job o'r corwynt:
1And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,
2 "Pwy yw hwn sy'n tywyllu cyngor geiriau diwybod?
2Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gwna dy hun yn barod i'r ornest; fe holaf fi di, a chei dithau ateb.
3Gird up now thy loins like a man; and I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.
4 "Ble'r oeddit ti pan osodais i sylfaen i'r ddaear? Ateb, os gwyddost.
4Where wast thou when I founded the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Pwy a benderfynodd ei mesurau? Mae'n siu373?r dy fod yn gwybod! Pwy a estynnodd linyn mesur arni?
5Who set the measures thereof -- if thou knowest? or who stretched a line upon it?
6 Ar beth y seiliwyd ei sylfeini, a phwy a osododd ei chonglfaen?
6Whereupon were the foundations thereof sunken? or who laid its corner-stone,
7 Ble'r oeddit ti pan oedd sr y bore i gyd yn llawenhau, a'r holl angylion yn gorfoleddu,
7When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 pan gaewyd ar y mr dorau, pan lamai allan o'r groth,
8And who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst forth, issuing out of the womb?
9 pan osodais gwmwl yn wisg amdano, a'r caddug yn rhwymyn iddo,
9When I made the cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it;
10 a phan drefnais derfyn iddo, a gosod barrau a dorau,
10When I cut out for it my boundary, and set bars and doors,
11 a dweud, 'Hyd yma yr ei, a dim pellach, ac yma y gosodais derfyn i ymchwydd dy donnau'?
11And said, Hitherto shalt thou come and no further, and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
12 "A wyt ti, yn ystod dy fywyd, wedi gorchymyn y bore a dangos ei lle i'r wawr,
12Hast thou since thy days commanded the morning? hast thou caused the dawn to know its place,
13 er mwyn iddi gydio yng nghonglau'r ddaear, i ysgwyd y drygionus ohoni?
13That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked might be shaken out of it?
14 Y mae'n newid ffurf fel clai dan y sl, ac yn sefyll allan fel plyg dilledyn.
14It is changed like the signet-clay; and [all things] stand forth as in a garment:
15 Atelir eu goleuni oddi wrth y drygionus, a thorrir y fraich ddyrchafedig.
15And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the uplifted arm is broken.
16 "A fedri di fynd at ffynhonnell y mr, neu gerdded yng nghuddfa'r dyfnder?
16Hast thou entered as far as the springs of the sea? and hast thou walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 A agorwyd pyrth angau i ti, neu a welaist ti byrth y fagddu?
17Have the gates of death been revealed unto thee? and hast thou seen the gates of the shadow of death?
18 A fedri di ddirnad maint y ddaear? Dywed, os wyt ti'n deall hyn i gyd.
18Hath thine understanding compassed the breadths of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all.
19 "Prun yw'r ffordd i drigfan goleuni, ac i le tywyllwch,
19Where is the way to where light dwelleth? and the darkness, where is its place,
20 fel y gelli di ei chymryd i'w therfyn, a gwybod y llwybr i'w thu375??
20That thou shouldest take it to its bound, and that thou shouldest know the paths to its house?
21 Fe wyddost, am dy fod wedi dy eni yr adeg honno, a bod nifer dy ddyddiau yn fawr!
21Thou knowest, for thou wast then born, and the number of thy days is great!
22 "A fuost ti yn ystordai'r eira, neu'n gweld cistiau'r cesair?
22Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasuries of the hail,
23 Dyma'r pethau a gedwais at gyfnod trallod, at ddydd brwydr a rhyfel.
23Which I have reserved for the time of distress, for the day of battle and war?
24 Prun yw'r ffordd i'r fan lle y rhennir goleuni, ac y gwasgerir gwynt y dwyrain ar y ddaear?
24By what way is the light parted, [and] the east wind scattered upon the earth?
25 "Pwy a wnaeth sianel i'r cenllif glaw, a llwybr i'r daranfollt,
25Who hath divided a channel for the rain-flood, and a way for the thunder's flash;
26 i lawio ar dir heb neb ynddo, a diffeithwch heb unrhyw un yn byw ynddo,
26To cause it to rain on the earth, where no one is; on the wilderness wherein there is not a man;
27 i ddigoni'r tir diffaith ac anial, a pheri i laswellt dyfu yno?
27To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground], and to cause the sprout of the grass to spring forth?
28 "A oes tad i'r glaw? Pwy a genhedlodd y defnynnau gwlith?
28Hath the rain a father? or who begetteth the drops of dew?
29 O groth pwy y daw'r rhew? A phwy a genhedlodd y llwydrew,
29Out of whose womb cometh the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who bringeth it forth?
30 i galedu'r dyfroedd fel carreg, a rhewi wyneb y dyfnder?
30When the waters lie hidden as in stone, and the face of the deep holdeth fast together.
31 A fedri di gau cadwynau Pleiades, neu ddatod rhwymau Orion?
31Canst thou fasten the bands of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?
32 A fedri di ddwyn Masaroth allan yn ei bryd, a thywys yr Arth gyda'i phlant?
32Dost thou bring forth the constellations each in its season? or dost thou guide the Bear with her sons?
33 A wyddost ti reolau'r awyr? A fedri di gymhwyso i'r ddaear ei threfn?
33Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? dost thou determine their rule over the earth?
34 "A fedri di alw ar y cwmwl i beri i ddyfroedd lifo drosot?
34Dost thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that floods of waters may cover thee?
35 A fedri di roi gorchymyn i'r mellt, iddynt ddod atat a dweud, 'Dyma ni'?
35Dost thou send forth lightnings that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
36 Pwy a rydd ddoethineb i'r cymylau, a deall i'r niwl?
36Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the mind?
37 Gan bwy y mae digon o ddoethineb i gyfrif y cymylau? A phwy a wna i gostrelau'r nefoedd arllwys,
37Who numbereth the clouds with wisdom? or who poureth out the bottles of the heavens,
38 nes bod llwch yn mynd yn llaid, a'r tywyrch yn glynu wrth ei gilydd?
38When the dust runneth as into a molten mass, and the clods cleave fast together?
39 "Ai ti sydd yn hela ysglyfaeth i'r llew, a diwallu angen y llewod ifanc,
39Dost thou hunt the prey for the lioness, and dost thou satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
40 pan grymant yn eu gwl, ac aros dan lwyn am helfa?
40When they crouch in [their] dens, [and] abide in the thicket to lie in wait?
41 Pwy sy'n trefnu bwyd i'r frn, pan waedda'r cywion ar Dduw, a hedfan o amgylch heb fwyd?
41Who provideth for the raven his food, when his young ones cry unto ùGod, [and] they wander for lack of meat?
