¹ Y mae calon brenin yn llaw'r ARGLWYDD fel ffrwd o ddu373?r; fe'i try i ble bynnag y dymuna.

¹The king's heart in the hand of Jehovah is [as] brooks of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

² Y mae ffyrdd pob un i gyd yn uniawn yn ei olwg ei hun, ond y mae'r ARGLWYDD yn cloriannu'r galon.

²Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; but Jehovah weigheth the hearts.

³ Y mae gwneud cyfiawnder a barn yn fwy derbyniol gan yr ARGLWYDD nag aberth.

³To exercise justice and judgment is more acceptable to Jehovah than sacrifice.

⁴ Llygaid balch a chalon ymffrostgar, dyma nodau'r drygionus, ac y maent yn bechod.

⁴Lofty eyes, and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, is sin.

⁵ Y mae cynlluniau'r diwyd yn sicr o arwain i ddigonedd, ond daw angen ar bob un sydd mewn brys.

⁵The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty, only to want.

⁶ Y mae trysorau wedi eu hennill trwy gelwydd fel tarth yn diflannu neu fagl marwolaeth.

⁶The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting breath of them that seek death.

⁷ Rhwydir y rhai drygionus gan eu trais, am iddynt wrthod gwneud yr hyn sydd uniawn.

⁷The devastation of the wicked sweepeth them away, because they refuse to do what is right.

⁸ Troellog yw ffordd y troseddwr, ond uniawn yw gweithred y didwyll.

⁸Very crooked is the way of a guilty man; but as for the pure, his work is upright.

⁹ Gwell yw byw mewn congl ar ben tu375? na rhannu cartref gyda gwraig gecrus.

⁹It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a contentious woman, and a house in common.

¹⁰ Y mae'r drygionus yn awchu am wneud drwg; nid yw'n edrych yn drugarog ar ei gymydog.

¹⁰The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.

¹¹ Pan gosbir gwatwarwr, daw'r gwirion yn ddoeth; ond pan ddysgir gwers i'r doeth, daw ef ei hun i ddeall.

¹¹When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise; and when the wise is instructed, he receiveth knowledge.

¹² Y mae'r Un Cyfiawn yn sylwi ar du375?'r drygionus; y mae'n bwrw'r rhai drwg i ddinistr.

¹²One that is righteous wisely considereth the house of the wicked: he overthroweth the wicked to [their] ruin.

¹³ Os bydd rhywun yn fyddar i gri'r tlawd, ni chaiff ei ateb pan fydd yntau'n galw.

¹³Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also himself shall cry, and shall not be heard.

¹⁴ Y mae rhodd ddirgel yn lliniaru dig, a chil-dwrn dan glogyn yn tawelu llid mawr.

¹⁴A gift in secret pacifieth anger; and a present in the bosom, vehement fury.

¹⁵ Caiff y cyfiawn lawenydd wrth wneud cyfiawnder, ond daw dinistr ar y rhai sy'n gwneud drwg.

¹⁵It is joy to a righteous [man] to do what is right; but it is ruin for the workers of iniquity.

¹⁶ Bydd rhywun sy'n troi oddi ar ffordd deall yn gorffwys yng nghwmni'r meirw.

¹⁶The man that wandereth out of the way of wisdom shall abide in the congregation of the dead.

¹⁷ Mewn angen y bydd y sawl sy'n caru pleser, ac ni ddaw'r sawl sy'n hoffi gwin ac olew yn gyfoethog.

¹⁷He that loveth mirth shall be a poor man; he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

¹⁸ Y mae'r drygionus yn bridwerth dros y cyfiawn, a'r twyllwr dros y rhai uniawn.

¹⁸The wicked is a ransom for the righteous, and a treacherous [man] in the stead of the upright.

¹⁹ Gwell byw mewn anialwch na chyda gwraig gecrus a dicllon.

¹⁹It is better to dwell in a desert land. than with a contentious and irritable woman.

²⁰ Yn nhu375?'r doeth y mae trysor dymunol ac olew, ond y mae'r ff�l yn eu difa.

²⁰There is costly store and oil in the dwelling of a wise [man]; but a foolish man swalloweth it up.

²¹ Y mae'r sawl sy'n dilyn cyfiawnder a theyrngarwch yn cael bywyd llwyddiannus ac anrhydedd.

²¹He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

²² Y mae'r doeth yn gallu mynd i ddinas gadarn a bwrw i lawr y gaer yr ymddiriedir ynddi.

²²A wise [man] scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof.

²³ Y sawl sy'n gwylio ei enau a'i dafod, fe'i ceidw ei hun rhag gofidiau.

²³Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

²⁴ Y mae'r balch yn ffroenuchel; gwatwarwr yw ei enw, gweithreda yn gwbl drahaus.

²⁴Proud, arrogant, scorner is his name who dealeth in proud wrath.

²⁵ Y mae blys y diog yn ei ladd, am fod ei ddwylo'n gwrthod gweithio.

²⁵The desire of the sluggard killeth him; for his hands refuse to work:

²⁶ Trachwantu y mae'r annuwiol bob amser, ond y mae'r cyfiawn yn rhoi heb arbed.

²⁶He coveteth greedily all the day long; but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

²⁷ Ffiaidd yw aberth y drygionus, yn enwedig pan offrymir ef mewn dichell.

²⁷The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more when they bring it with a wicked purpose!

²⁸ Difethir y tyst celwyddog, ond y mae'r tyst cywir yn cael llefaru.

²⁸A lying witness shall perish; and a man that heareth shall speak constantly.

²⁹ Y mae'r drygionus yn caledu ei wyneb, ond yr uniawn yn trefnu ei ffyrdd.

²⁹A wicked man hardeneth his face; but as for the upright, he establisheth his way.

³⁰ Nid yw doethineb na deall na chyngor yn ddim o flaen yr ARGLWYDD.

³⁰There is no wisdom, nor understanding, nor counsel against Jehovah.

³¹ Er paratoi march ar gyfer dydd brwydr, eto eiddo'r ARGLWYDD yw'r fuddugoliaeth.

³¹The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but safety is of Jehovah.
