1{An instruction. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.} I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.
2 oherwydd y mae dy gariad wedi ei sefydlu dros byth, a'th ffyddlondeb mor sicr �'r nefoedd.
2For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.
3 Dywedaist, "Gwneuthum gyfamod �'m hetholedig, a thyngu wrth Ddafydd fy ngwas,
3I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4 'Gwnaf dy had yn sefydlog am byth, a sicrhau dy orsedd dros y cenedlaethau.'" Sela.
4Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.
5 Bydded i'r nefoedd foliannu dy ryfeddodau, O ARGLWYDD, a'th ffyddlondeb yng nghynulliad y rhai sanctaidd.
5And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.
6 Oherwydd pwy yn y nefoedd a gymherir �'r ARGLWYDD? Pwy ymysg y duwiau sy'n debyg i'r ARGLWYDD,
6For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? [who] among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?
7 yn Dduw a ofnir yng nghyngor y rhai sanctaidd, yn fawr ac ofnadwy goruwch pawb o'i amgylch?
7ùGod is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.
8 O ARGLWYDD Dduw y lluoedd, pwy sydd nerthol fel tydi, O ARGLWYDD, gyda'th ffyddlondeb o'th amgylch?
8Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.
9 Ti sy'n llywodraethu ymchwydd y m�r; pan gyfyd ei donnau, yr wyt ti'n eu gostegu.
9*Thou* rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, *thou* stillest them.
10 Ti a ddrylliodd Rahab yn gelain; gwasgeraist dy elynion � nerth dy fraich.
10Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.
11 Eiddot ti yw'r nefoedd, a'r ddaear hefyd; ti a seiliodd y byd a'r cyfan sydd ynddo.
11Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, *thou* hast founded them.
12 Ti a greodd ogledd a de; y mae Tabor a Hermon yn moliannu dy enw.
12The north and the south, *thou* hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.
13 Y mae gennyt ti fraich nerthol; y mae dy law yn gref, dy ddeheulaw wedi ei chodi.
13Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.
14 Cyfiawnder a barn yw sylfaen dy orsedd; y mae cariad a gwirionedd yn mynd o'th flaen.
14Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.
15 Gwyn eu byd y bobl sydd wedi dysgu dy glodfori, sy'n rhodio, ARGLWYDD, yng ngoleuni dy wyneb,
15Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.
16 sy'n gorfoleddu bob amser yn dy enw, ac yn llawenhau yn dy gyfiawnder.
16In thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.
17 Oherwydd ti yw gogoniant eu nerth, a thrwy dy ffafr di y dyrchefir ein corn.
17For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 Oherwydd y mae ein tarian yn eiddo i'r ARGLWYDD, a'n brenin i Sanct Israel.
18For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.
19 Gynt lleferaist mewn gweledigaeth wrth dy ffyddloniaid a dweud, "Gosodais goron ar un grymus, a dyrchafu un a ddewiswyd o blith y bobl.
19Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 Cefais Ddafydd, fy ngwas, a'i eneinio �'m holew sanctaidd;
20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 bydd fy llaw yn gadarn gydag ef, a'm braich yn ei gryfhau.
21With whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.
22 Ni fydd gelyn yn drech nag ef, na'r drygionus yn ei ddarostwng.
22No enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;
23 Drylliaf ei elynion o'i flaen, a thrawaf y rhai sy'n ei gas�u.
23But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.
24 Bydd fy ffyddlondeb a'm cariad gydag ef, ac yn fy enw i y dyrchefir ei gorn.
24And my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 Gosodaf ei law ar y m�r, a'i ddeheulaw ar yr afonydd.
25And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 Bydd yntau'n galw arnaf, 'Fy nhad wyt ti, fy Nuw a chraig fy iachawdwriaeth.'
26*He* shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my ùGod, and the rock of my salvation;
27 A gwnaf finnau ef yn gyntafanedig, yn uchaf o frenhinoedd y ddaear.
27And as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 Cadwaf fy ffyddlondeb iddo hyd byth, a bydd fy nghyfamod ag ef yn sefydlog.
28My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;
29 Rhof iddo linach am byth, a'i orsedd fel dyddiau'r nefoedd.
29And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 Os bydd ei feibion yn gadael fy nghyfraith, a heb rodio yn fy marnau,
30If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;
31 os byddant yn torri fy ordeiniadau, a heb gadw fy ngorchmynion,
31If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:
32 fe gosbaf eu pechodau � gwialen, a'u camweddau � fflangellau;
32Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 ond ni throf fy nghariad oddi wrtho, na phallu yn fy ffyddlondeb.
33Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;
34 Ni thorraf fy nghyfamod, na newid gair a aeth o'm genau.
34My covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Unwaith am byth y tyngais i'm sancteiddrwydd, ac ni fyddaf yn twyllo Dafydd.
35Once have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:
36 Fe barha ei linach am byth, a'i orsedd cyhyd �'r haul o'm blaen.
36His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;
37 Bydd wedi ei sefydlu am byth fel y lleuad, yn dyst ffyddlon yn y nef." Sela.
37It shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. Selah.
38 Ond eto yr wyt wedi gwrthod, a throi heibio, a digio wrth dy eneiniog.
38But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:
39 Yr wyt wedi dileu'r cyfamod �'th was, wedi halogi ei goron a'i thaflu i'r llawr.
39Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:
40 Yr wyt wedi dryllio ei holl furiau, a gwneud ei geyrydd yn adfeilion.
40Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
41 Y mae pawb sy'n mynd heibio yn ei ysbeilio; aeth yn warth i'w gymdogion.
41All that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.
42 Dyrchefaist ddeheulaw ei wrthwynebwyr, a gwneud i'w holl elynion lawenhau.
42Thou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:
43 Yn wir, troist yn �l fin ei gleddyf, a pheidio �'i gynnal yn y frwydr.
43Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.
44 Drylliaist ei deyrnwialen o'i law, a bwrw ei orsedd i'r llawr.
44Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;
45 Yr wyt wedi byrhau dyddiau ei ieuenctid, ac wedi ei orchuddio � chywilydd. Sela.
45The days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46 Am ba hyd, ARGLWYDD? A fyddi'n ymguddio am byth, a'th eiddigedd yn llosgi fel t�n?
46How long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?
47 Cofia mor feidrol ydwyf fi; ai yn ofer y creaist yr holl bobloedd?
47Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?
48 Pwy fydd byw heb weld marwolaeth? Pwy a arbed ei fywyd o afael Sheol? Sela.
48What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.
49 O Arglwydd, ple mae dy gariad gynt, a dyngaist yn dy ffyddlondeb i Ddafydd?
49Where, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, [which] thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?
50 Cofia, O Arglwydd, ddirmyg dy was, fel yr wyf yn cario yn fy mynwes sarhad y bobloedd,
50Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants -- that I bear in my bosom [that of] all the mighty peoples --
51 fel y bu i'th elynion, ARGLWYDD, ddirmygu a gwawdio camre dy eneiniog.
51Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 Bendigedig fyddo'r ARGLWYDD am byth! Amen ac Amen.
52Blessed be Jehovah for evermore! Amen, and Amen.
