1 Deuddeng mlwydd oed oedd Manasse pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am hanner cant a phump o flynyddoedd yn Jerwsalem.
1Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
2 Gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, yn l ffieidd-dra'r cenhedloedd a yrrodd yr ARGLWYDD allan o flaen yr Israeliaid.
2He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, after the abominations of the nations whom Yahweh cast out before the children of Israel.
3 Ailadeiladodd yr uchelfeydd a ddinistriodd ei dad Heseceia, a chododd allorau i'r Baalim a gwneud delwau o Asera, ac ymgrymodd i holl lu'r nef a'u haddoli.
3For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baals, and made Asheroth, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served them.
4 Adeiladodd allorau yn y deml y dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD amdani, "Yn Jerwsalem y bydd fy enw am byth."
4He built altars in the house of Yahweh, of which Yahweh said, “My name shall be in Jerusalem forever.”
5 Cododd allorau i holl lu'r nef yn nau gyntedd y deml.
5He built altars for all the army of the sky in the two courts of the house of Yahweh.
6 Ef oedd yr un a barodd i'w feibion fynd trwy dn yn nyffryn Ben-hinnom, arferodd hudoliaeth, swynion a chyfaredd, ac ymhl ag ysbrydion a dewiniaeth. Yr oedd yn ymroi i wneud yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, i'w ddigio.
6He also made his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom; and he practiced sorcery, and used enchantments, and practiced sorcery, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he worked much evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger.
7 Gwnaeth ddelw gerfiedig a'i gosod yn y deml y dywedodd Duw amdani wrth Ddafydd a'i fab Solomon, "Yn y tu375? hwn ac yn Jerwsalem, y lle a ddewisais allan o holl lwythau Israel, yr wyf am osod fy enw'n dragwyddol.
7He set the engraved image of the idol, which he had made, in God’s house, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever:
8 Ni throf Israel allan mwyach o'r tir a roddais i'ch hynafiaid, ond iddynt ofalu gwneud y cwbl a orchmynnais iddynt yn y gyfraith, y deddfau a'r cyfreithiau a gawsant gan Moses."
8neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers, if only they will observe to do all that I have commanded them, even all the law and the statutes and the ordinances given by Moses.”
9 Ond arweiniodd Manasse Jwda a thrigolion Jerwsalem ar gyfeiliorn, i wneud yn waeth na'r cenhedloedd a ddinistriodd yr ARGLWYDD o flaen yr Israeliaid.
9Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that they did more evil than the nations whom Yahweh destroyed before the children of Israel did.
10 Er i'r ARGLWYDD lefaru wrth Manasse a'i bobl, ni wrandawsant.
10Yahweh spoke to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.
11 Yna anfonodd yr ARGLWYDD swyddogion byddin brenin Asyria yn eu herbyn; daliasant hwy Manasse bachau a'i roi mewn gefynnau pres a mynd ag ef i Fabilon.
11Therefore Yahweh brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
12 Yn ei gyfyngder gweddodd Manasse ar yr ARGLWYDD ei Dduw, a'i ddarostwng ei hun o flaen Duw ei hynafiaid.
12When he was in distress, he begged Yahweh his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
13 Pan weddodd arno, trugarhaodd Duw wrtho; gwrandawodd ar ei weddi a dod ag ef yn l i Jerwsalem i'w frenhiniaeth. Yna gwybu Manasse mai'r ARGLWYDD oedd Dduw.
13He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.
14 Ar l hyn adeiladodd fur allanol i Ddinas Dafydd yn y dyffryn i'r gorllewin o Gihon hyd at fynedfa Porth y Pysgod, ac amgylchu Offel a'i wneud yn uchel iawn. Gosododd hefyd swyddogion milwrol yn holl ddinasoedd caerog Jwda.
14Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate; and he encircled Ophel with it, and raised it up to a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.
15 Tynnodd ymaith y duwiau dieithr a'r ddelw o du375?'r ARGLWYDD, a'r holl allorau a adeiladodd ym mynydd tu375?'r ARGLWYDD ac yn Jerwsalem, a'u taflu allan o'r ddinas.
15He took away the foreign gods, and the idol out of the house of Yahweh, and all the altars that he had built in the mountain of the house of Yahweh, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
16 Atgyweiriodd allor yr ARGLWYDD, ac offrymodd arni heddoffrymau ac offrymau diolch a gorchymyn Jwda i wasanaethu'r ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel.
16He built up the altar of Yahweh, and offered thereon sacrifices of peace offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve Yahweh, the God of Israel.
17 Er hynny, yr oedd y bobl yn dal i aberthu ar yr uchelfeydd, ond i'r ARGLWYDD eu Duw yn unig.
17Nevertheless the people sacrificed still in the high places, but only to Yahweh their God.
18 Am weddill hanes Manasse, ei weddi ar ei Dduw, a geiriau'r gweledyddion a fu'n siarad ag ef yn enw'r ARGLWYDD, Duw Israel, y maent yng nghronicl brenhinoedd Israel.
18Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, behold, they are written among the acts of the kings of Israel.
19 Y mae ei weddi a'r ateb ffafriol a gafodd, a hanes ei holl bechod a'i gamwedd, a'r lleoedd yr adeiladodd uchelfeydd a gosod pyst Asera a cherfddelwau ynddynt cyn iddo ymostwng, wedi eu hysgrifennu yng nghronicl y gweledyddion.
19His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places in which he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the engraved images, before he humbled himself: behold, they are written in the history of Hozai.
20 A bu farw Manasse, a'i gladdu yn ei balas; a daeth ei fab Amon yn frenin yn ei le.
20So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house: and Amon his son reigned in his place.
21 Dwy ar hugain oed oedd Amon pan ddaeth yn frenin, a theyrnasodd am ddwy flynedd yn Jerwsalem.
21Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem.
22 Gwnaeth yr hyn oedd ddrwg yng ngolwg yr ARGLWYDD, fel y gwnaeth ei dad Manasse. Aberthodd Amon i'r holl gerfddelwau a wnaeth ei dad, ac fe'u gwasanaethodd.
22He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, as did Manasseh his father; and Amon sacrificed to all the engraved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them.
23 Ond nid ym-ostyngodd o flaen yr ARGLWYDD fel y gwnaeth ei dad Manasse; yr oedd ef, Amon, yn troseddu'n waeth.
23He didn’t humble himself before Yahweh, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but this same Amon trespassed more and more.
24 Cynllwynodd ei weision yn ei erbyn, a'i ladd yn ei du375?;
24His servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.
25 ond yna, lladdwyd pawb a fu'n cynllwyn yn erbyn y Brenin Amon gan bobl y wlad, a gwnaethant ei fab Joseia yn frenin yn ei le.
25But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
