Job

21

1 Atebodd Job:
1Then Job answered,
2 "Gwrandewch eto ar fy ngeiriau; felly y rhowch gysur imi.
2“Listen diligently to my speech. Let this be your consolation.
3 Goddefwch i mi lefaru, ac wedi imi lefaru, cewch watwar.
3Allow me, and I also will speak; After I have spoken, mock on.
4 Oni chaf ddweud fy nghwyn wrth rywun? a pham na chaf fod yn ddiamynedd?
4As for me, is my complaint to man? Why shouldn’t I be impatient?
5 Edrychwch arnaf, a synnwch, a rhowch eich llaw ar eich genau.
5Look at me, and be astonished. Lay your hand on your mouth.
6 Pan ystyriaf hyn, rwy'n arswydo, a daw cryndod i'm cnawd.
6When I remember, I am troubled. Horror takes hold of my flesh.
7 "Pam y caiff yr annuwiol fyw, a heneiddio'n gadarnach eu nerth?
7“Why do the wicked live, become old, yes, and grow mighty in power?
8 Y mae eu plant yn byw o'u cwmpas, a'u teulu yn eu hymyl.
8Their child is established with them in their sight, their offspring before their eyes.
9 Y mae eu tylwyth yn ddiogel oddi wrth ddychryn, ac ni ddaw dyrnod Duw arnynt.
9Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
10 Y mae eu tarw'n cyfloi yn ddi-feth, a'u buwch yn bwrw lloi heb erthylu.
10Their bulls breed without fail. Their cows calve, and don’t miscarry.
11 Caiff eu plantos grwydro'n rhydd fel defaid, a dawnsia'u plant yn hapus.
11They send forth their little ones like a flock. Their children dance.
12 Canant gyda'r dympan a'r delyn, a byddant lawen wrth su373?n y pibau.
12They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the pipe.
13 Treuliant eu dyddiau mewn esmwythyd, a disgynnant i Sheol mewn heddwch.
13They spend their days in prosperity. In an instant they go down to Sheol .
14 Dywedant wrth Dduw, 'Cilia oddi wrthym; ni fynnwn wybod dy ffyrdd.
14They tell God, ‘Depart from us, for we don’t want to know about your ways.
15 Pwy yw'r Hollalluog i ni ei wasanaethu, a pha fantais sydd inni os gweddwn arno?'
15What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What profit should we have, if we pray to him?’
16 "Ai yn eu dwylo'u hunain y mae eu ffyniant? Pell yw cyngor y drygionus oddi wrth Dduw.
16Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand. The counsel of the wicked is far from me.
17 "Pa mor aml y diffoddir lamp yr annuwiol, ac y daw eu dinistr arnynt hwy, ac y tynghedir hwy i boen gan ei lid?
17“How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out, that their calamity comes on them, that God distributes sorrows in his anger?
18 A ydynt hwy fel gwelltyn o flaen y gwynt, neu fel us a ddygir ymaith gan y storm?
18How often is it that they are as stubble before the wind, as chaff that the storm carries away?
19 A geidw Duw ddinistr rhiant i'w blant? Na, taled iddo ef ei hun, a'i ddarostwng.
19You say, ‘God lays up his iniquity for his children.’ Let him recompense it to himself, that he may know it.
20 Bydded i'w lygaid ei hun weld ei ddinistr, ac yfed o lid yr Hollalluog.
20Let his own eyes see his destruction. Let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
21 Pa ddiddordeb fydd ganddo yn ei deulu ar ei l, pan fydd nifer ei fisoedd wedi darfod?
21For what does he care for his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?
22 "A ellir dysgu gwybodaeth i Dduw? Onid ef sy'n barnu'r beilchion?
22“Shall any teach God knowledge, since he judges those who are high?
23 "Bydd un farw yn ei lwyddiant, mewn llonyddwch a thawelwch,
23One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.
24 ei lwynau yn llawn braster, a mr ei esgyrn yn iraidd.
24His pails are full of milk. The marrow of his bones is moistened.
25 Bydd arall farw yn chwerw ei ysbryd, heb brofi daioni.
25Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.
26 Ond gorweddant gyda'i gilydd yn y pridd, a'r pryfed yn amdo drostynt.
26They lie down alike in the dust. The worm covers them.
27 "Yn awr gwn eich meddyliau, a'r bwriadau sydd gennych i'm drygu;
27“Behold, I know your thoughts, the devices with which you would wrong me.
28 oherwydd dywedwch, 'Ble'r aeth tu375?'r pendefig? a phle mae trigfannau'r annuwiol?'
28For you say, ‘Where is the house of the prince? Where is the tent in which the wicked lived?’
29 Oni ofynnwch i'r rhai sy'n teithio'r ffordd? Onid ydych yn adnabod yr arwyddion,
29Haven’t you asked wayfaring men? Don’t you know their evidences,
30 yr arbedir y drygionus rhag dydd dinistr, ac y gwaredir ef rhag dydd digofaint?
30that the evil man is reserved to the day of calamity, That they are led forth to the day of wrath?
31 Pwy a'i cyhudda yn ei wyneb? Pwy a dl yn l iddo am yr hyn a wnaeth?
31Who shall declare his way to his face? Who shall repay him what he has done?
32 Pan ddygir ef i'r bedd, cedwir gwyliadwriaeth ar ei feddrod.
32Yet he will be borne to the grave. Men shall keep watch over the tomb.
33 Y mae tywyrch y fynwent yn dyner arno; bydd gorymdaith yn dilyn ar ei l, a thyrfa niferus yn cerdded o'i flaen.
33The clods of the valley shall be sweet to him. All men shall draw after him, as there were innumerable before him.
34 Sut, felly, y mae eich gwagedd yn gysur i mi? Nid oes ond twyll yn eich atebion."
34So how can you comfort me with nonsense, because in your answers there remains only falsehood?”
