1 "Am hyn hefyd y mae fy nghalon yn cynhyrfu, ac yn llamu o'i lle.
1“Yes, at this my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place.
2 Gwrandewch ar daran ei lais, a'r atsain a ddaw o'i enau.
2Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth.
3 Y mae'n ei yrru ar draws yr wybren, ac yn gyrru ei fellt i gilfachau'r byd.
3He sends it forth under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
4 Ar eu hl fe rua; tarana 'i lais mawr, ac nid yw'n eu hatal pan glywir ei lais.
4After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.
5 Tarana Duw yn rhyfeddol 'i lais; gwna wyrthiau, y tu hwnt i'n deall.
5God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend.
6 Fe ddywed wrth yr eira, 'Disgyn ar y ddaear', ac wrth y glaw a'r cawodydd, 'Trymhewch'.
6For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth;’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.
7 Y mae pob un yn cael ei gau i mewn, a phopeth a wnnt yn cael ei atal.
7He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.
8 'r anifeiliaid i'w ffeuau, ac aros yn eu gwl.
8Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.
9 Daw'r corwynt allan o'i ystafell, ac oerni o'r tymhestloedd.
9Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.
10 Daw anadl Duw 'r rhew, a rhewa'r llynnoedd yn galed.
10By the breath of God, ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is frozen.
11 Lleinw'r cwmwl hefyd gwlybaniaeth, a gwasgara'r cwmwl ei fellt.
11Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.
12 Gwibiant yma ac acw ar ei orchymyn, i wneud y cyfan a ddywed wrthynt, dros wyneb daear gyfan.
12It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,
13 "Gwna hyn naill ai fel cosb, neu er mwyn ei dir, neu mewn trugaredd.
13Whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.
14 "Gwrando ar hyn, Job; aros ac ystyria ryfeddodau Duw.
14“Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15 A wyt ti'n deall sut y mae Duw yn trefnu, ac yn gwneud i'r mellt fflachio yn ei gwmwl?
15Do you know how God controls them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?
16 A wyt ti'n deall symudiadau'r cymylau, rhyfeddodau un perffaith ei wybodaeth?
16Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
17 Ti, sy'n chwysu yn dy ddillad pan fydd y ddaear yn swrth dan wynt y de,
17You whose clothing is warm, when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?
18 a fedrit ti, fel ef, daenu'r wybren, sy'n galed fel drych o fetel tawdd?
18Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?
19 Dywed wrthym beth i'w ddweud wrtho; oherwydd y tywyllwch ni allwn ni drefnu'n hachos.
19Teach us what we shall tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.
20 A ellir dweud wrtho, 'Yr wyf fi am lefaru', neu fynegi iddo, 'Y mae hwn am siarad'?
20Shall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
21 "Ond yn awr, ni all neb edrych ar y goleuni pan yw'n ddisglair yn yr awyr, a'r gwynt wedi dod a'i chlirio.
21Now men don’t see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.
22 Disgleiria o'r gogledd fel aur; o gwmpas Duw y mae ysblander ofnadwy.
22Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.
23 Ni allwn ni ganfod yr Hollalluog, y mae'n fawr ei nerth; yn ei farn a'i gyfiawnder ni wna gam.
23We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.
24 Am hyn, y mae pawb yn ei ofni, a phob un doeth yn edrych ato."
24Therefore men revere him. He doesn’t regard any who are wise of heart.”
