¹ Llefarodd yr ARGLWYDD wrth Moses ar �l marwolaeth dau fab Aaron, a fu farw pan ddaethant gerbron yr ARGLWYDD,

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before Yahweh, and died;

² a dywedodd, "Dywed wrth dy frawd Aaron nad yw ar bob adeg i ddod y tu �l i'r llen sydd o flaen y drugareddfa uwchben yr arch yn y cysegr, rhag iddo farw; oherwydd byddaf yn ymddangos yn y cwmwl uwchben y drugareddfa.

²and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother, not to come at all times into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die: for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

³ Fel hyn y mae Aaron i ddod i'r cysegr: � bustach ifanc yn aberth dros bechod, a hwrdd yn boethoffrwm.

³“Herewith shall Aaron come into the sanctuary: with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

⁴ Bydd yn gwisgo mantell sanctaidd o liain, a dillad isaf o liain agosaf at ei gorff; bydd yn rhoi gwregys lliain am ei ganol a thwrban lliain am ei ben. Y mae'r rhain yn ddillad sanctaidd, a bydd yn ymolchi � du373?r cyn eu gwisgo.

⁴He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

⁵ Bydd yn cymryd oddi wrth gynulleidfa pobl Israel ddau fwch gafr yn aberth dros bechod, a hwrdd yn boethoffrwm.

⁵He shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

⁶ "Bydd Aaron yn cyflwyno bustach yr aberth dros ei bechod ei hun, er mwyn gwneud cymod drosto'i hun a thros ei dylwyth.

⁶“Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

⁷ Yna bydd yn cymryd y ddau fwch gafr ac yn dod � hwy o flaen yr ARGLWYDD at ddrws pabell y cyfarfod.

⁷He shall take the two goats, and set them before Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

⁸ Bydd Aaron yn bwrw coelbrennau am y ddau fwch, un coelbren am fwch i'r ARGLWYDD, a'r llall am y bwch dihangol.

⁸Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats; one lot for Yahweh, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

⁹ Bydd Aaron yn dod �'r bwch y disgynnodd coelbren yr ARGLWYDD arno, ac yn ei offrymu'n aberth dros bechod.

⁹Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot fell for Yahweh, and offer him for a sin offering.

¹⁰ Ond bydd yn cyflwyno'n fyw gerbron yr ARGLWYDD y bwch y disgynnodd coelbren y bwch dihangol arno, er mwyn gwneud iawn trwy ei ollwng i'r anialwch yn fwch dihangol.

¹⁰But the goat, on which the lot fell for the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before Yahweh, to make atonement for him, to send him away for the scapegoat into the wilderness.

¹¹ "Bydd Aaron yn cyflwyno bustach yr aberth dros ei bechod ei hun, er mwyn gwneud cymod drosto'i hun a thros ei dylwyth, a bydd yn lladd y bustach yn aberth dros ei bechod.

¹¹“Aaron shall present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

¹² Bydd yn cymryd thuser yn llawn o farwor llosg oddi ar yr allor o flaen yr ARGLWYDD, a dau ddyrnaid o arogldarth peraidd wedi ei falu, ac yn mynd � hwy y tu �l i'r llen.

¹²He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Yahweh, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:

¹³ Bydd yn rhoi'r arogldarth ar y t�n o flaen yr ARGLWYDD, er mwyn i fwg yr arogldarth orchuddio'r drugareddfa uwchben y dystiolaeth, rhag iddo farw.

¹³and he shall put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the testimony, so that he will not die.

¹⁴ Bydd yn cymryd peth o waed y bustach ac yn ei daenellu �'i fys ar wyneb dwyrain y drugareddfa; bydd yn taenellu peth o'r gwaed �'i fys seithwaith o flaen y drugareddfa.

¹⁴He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

¹⁵ "Yna bydd yn lladd bwch yr aberth dros bechod y bobl ac yn dod �'i waed y tu �l i'r llen, ac yn gwneud �'i waed fel y gwnaeth � gwaed y bustach trwy ei daenellu ar y drugareddfa ac o'i blaen.

¹⁵“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

¹⁶ Fel hyn y bydd yn gwneud cymod dros y cysegr, oherwydd aflendid pobl Israel a'u troseddau o achos eu holl bechodau; bydd yn gwneud yr un fath dros babell y cyfarfod, sydd yn eu mysg yng nghanol eu holl aflendid.

¹⁶and he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so he shall do for the Tent of Meeting, that dwells with them in the midst of their uncleanness.

¹⁷ Ni chaiff unrhyw un fynd i mewn i babell y cyfarfod, ar �l i Aaron fynd i mewn i wneud cymod yn y cysegr, nes iddo ddod allan, wedi iddo orffen gwneud cymod drosto'i hun, ei dylwyth a holl gynulleidfa Israel.

¹⁷No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

¹⁸ Yna bydd yn dod allan at yr allor sydd o flaen yr ARGLWYDD, ac yn gwneud cymod drosti. Bydd yn cymryd peth o waed y bustach ac o waed y bwch, ac yn ei roi ar gyrn yr allor o'i hamgylch.

¹⁸“He shall go out to the altar that is before Yahweh and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull’s blood, and some of the goat’s blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.

¹⁹ Bydd yn taenellu peth o'r gwaed arni �'i fys seithwaith i'w glanhau o aflendid pobl Israel, ac yn ei chysegru.

¹⁹He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and make it holy from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

²⁰ "Ar �l i Aaron orffen gwneud cymod dros y cysegr, pabell y cyfarfod a'r allor, bydd yn cyflwyno'r bwch byw.

²⁰“When he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

²¹ Bydd yn gosod ei ddwy law ar ben y bwch byw, ac yn cyffesu drosto holl ddrygioni a throseddau pobl Israel o achos eu holl bechodau, ac yn eu rhoi ar ben y bwch; yna bydd yn anfon y bwch i'r anialwch yng ngofal dyn a benodwyd i wneud hynny.

²¹Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.

²² Y mae'r bwch i ddwyn eu holl ddrygioni arno'i hun i dir unig, a bydd y dyn yn ei ollwng yn rhydd yn yr anialwch.

²²The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

²³ "Yna bydd Aaron yn mynd i mewn i babell y cyfarfod, yn diosg y dillad lliain a wisgodd pan oedd yn mynd i'r cysegr, ac yn eu gadael yno.

²³“Aaron shall come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.

²⁴ Bydd yn ymolchi � du373?r mewn lle sanctaidd, ac yn gwisgo ei ddillad arferol. Wedyn bydd yn dod allan, ac yn offrymu ei boethoffrwm ei hun a phoethoffrwm y bobl, ac yn gwneud cymod drosto'i hun a thros y bobl.

²⁴Then he shall bathe himself in water in a holy place, and put on his garments, and come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.

²⁵ Bydd hefyd yn llosgi ar yr allor fraster yr aberth dros bechod.

²⁵The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar.

²⁶ "Bydd y dyn sy'n gollwng y bwch dihangol yn rhydd yn golchi ei ddillad ac yn ymolchi � du373?r; ac wedi hynny caiff ddod i mewn i'r gwersyll.

²⁶“He who lets the goat go for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁷ Y mae bustach a bwch yr aberth dros bechod, y dygwyd eu gwaed i wneud cymod yn y cysegr, i'w dwyn allan o'r gwersyll; y mae eu crwyn, eu cyrff a'u gweddillion i'w llosgi yn y t�n.

²⁷The bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried forth outside the camp; and they shall burn their skins, their flesh, and their dung with fire.

²⁸ Y mae'r sawl sy'n eu llosgi i olchi ei ddillad ac ymolchi � du373?r; ar �l hynny caiff ddod i mewn i'r gwersyll.

²⁸He who burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁹ "Y mae hon yn ddeddf dragwyddol ichwi. Ar y degfed dydd o'r seithfed mis yr ydych i ymddarostwng, a pheidio � gwneud unrhyw waith, pa un bynnag ai brodor ai estron ydych,

²⁹“It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no kind of work, the native-born, or the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you:

³⁰ oherwydd ar y dydd hwn gwneir cymod drosoch i'ch glanhau; a byddwch yn l�n o'ch holl bechodau gerbron yr ARGLWYDD.

³⁰for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you shall be clean before Yahweh.

³¹ Saboth o orffwys ydyw, ac yr ydych i ymddarostwng; y mae'n ddeddf dragwyddol.

³¹It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls; it is a statute forever.

³² Yr offeiriad a eneiniwyd ac a gysegrwyd yn offeiriad yn lle ei dad fydd yn gwneud cymod; bydd yn gwisgo dillad sanctaidd o liain,

³²The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

³³ ac yn gwneud cymod dros y cysegr, pabell y cyfarfod a'r allor, a hefyd dros yr offeiriaid a holl bobl y gynulleidfa.

³³Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

³⁴ Bydd hon yn ddeddf dragwyddol ichwi. Gwneir cymod unwaith y flwyddyn dros bobl Israel oherwydd eu holl bechodau." Gwnaed fel y gorchmynnodd yr ARGLWYDD i Moses.

³⁴“This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” It was done as Yahweh commanded Moses.
