9

1 Meddai hefyd wrthynt, "Yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, y mae rhai o'r sawl sy'n sefyll yma na phrofant flas marwolaeth nes iddynt weld teyrnas Dduw wedi dyfod mewn nerth."
1He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power.”
2 Ymhen chwe diwrnod dyma Iesu'n cymryd Pedr ac Iago ac Ioan ac yn mynd hwy i fynydd uchel o'r neilltu ar eu pennau eu hunain. A gweddnewidiwyd ef yn eu gu373?ydd hwy,
2After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
3 ac aeth ei ddillad i ddisgleirio'n glaerwyn, y modd na allai unrhyw bannwr ar y ddaear eu gwynnu.
3His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
4 Ymddangosodd Elias iddynt ynghyd Moses; ymddiddan yr oeddent Iesu.
4Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 A dywedodd Pedr wrth Iesu, "Rabbi, y mae'n dda ein bod ni yma; gwnawn dair pabell, un i ti ac un i Moses ac un i Elias."
5Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6 Oherwydd ni wyddai beth i'w ddweud; yr oeddent wedi dychryn cymaint.
6For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.
7 A daeth cwmwl yn cysgodi drostynt; a dyma lais o'r cwmwl, "Hwn yw fy Mab, yr Anwylyd; gwrandewch arno."
7A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
8 Ac yn ddisymwth, pan edrychasant o amgylch, ni welsant neb mwyach ond Iesu yn unig gyda hwy.
8Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.
9 Wrth iddynt ddod i lawr o'r mynydd rhoddodd orchymyn iddynt beidio dweud wrth neb am y pethau a welsant, nes y byddai Mab y Dyn wedi atgyfodi oddi wrth y meirw.
9As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10 Daliasant ar y gair, gan holi yn eu plith eu hunain beth oedd ystyr atgyfodi oddi wrth y meirw.
10They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.
11 A gofynasant iddo, "Pam y mae'r ysgrifenyddion yn dweud bod yn rhaid i Elias ddod yn gyntaf?"
11They asked him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
12 Meddai yntau wrthynt, "Y mae Elias yn dod yn gyntaf ac yn adfer pob peth. Ond sut y mae'n ysgrifenedig am Fab y Dyn, ei fod i ddioddef llawer a chael ei ddirmygu?
12He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
13 Ond rwy'n dweud wrthych fod Elias eisoes wedi dod, a gwnaethant iddo beth bynnag a fynnent, fel y mae'n ysgrifenedig amdano."
13 But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”
14 Pan ddaethant at y disgyblion gwelsant dyrfa fawr o'u cwmpas, ac ysgrifenyddion yn dadlau hwy.
14Coming to the disciples, he saw a great multitude around them, and scribes questioning them.
15 Ac unwaith y gwelodd yr holl dyrfa ef fe'u syfrdanwyd, a rhedasant ato a'i gyfarch.
15Immediately all the multitude, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him greeted him.
16 Gofynnodd yntau iddynt, "Am beth yr ydych yn dadlau hwy?"
16He asked the scribes, “What are you asking them?”
17 Atebodd un o'r dyrfa ef, "Athro, mi ddois i 'm mab atat; y mae wedi ei feddiannu gan ysbryd mud,
17One of the multitude answered, “Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;
18 a pha bryd bynnag y mae hwnnw'n gafael ynddo y mae'n ei fwrw ar lawr, ac y mae yntau'n malu ewyn ac yn ysgyrnygu ei ddannedd ac yn mynd yn ddiymadferth. A dywedais wrth dy ddisgyblion am ei fwrw allan, ac ni allasant."
18and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and wastes away. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren’t able.”
19 Atebodd Iesu hwy: "O genhedlaeth ddi-ffydd, pa hyd y byddaf gyda chwi? Pa hyd y goddefaf chwi? Dewch ag ef ataf fi."
19He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”
20 A daethant 'r bachgen ato. Cyn gynted ag y gwelodd yr ysbryd ef, ysgytiodd y bachgen yn ffyrnig. Syrthiodd ar y llawr a rholio o gwmpas dan falu ewyn.
20They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
21 Gofynnodd Iesu i'w dad, "Faint sydd er pan ddaeth hyn arno?" Dywedodd yntau, "O'i blentyndod;
21He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has come to him?” He said, “From childhood.
22 llawer gwaith fe'i taflodd i'r tn neu i'r du373?r, i geisio'i ladd. Os yw'n bosibl iti wneud rhywbeth, tosturia wrthym a helpa ni."
22Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.”
23 Dywedodd Iesu wrtho, "Os yw'n bosibl! Y mae popeth yn bosibl i'r sawl sydd ffydd ganddo."
23Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Ar unwaith gwaeddodd tad y plentyn, "Yr wyf yn credu; helpa fi yn fy niffyg ffydd."
24Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”
25 A phan welodd Iesu fod tyrfa'n rhedeg ynghyd, ceryddodd yr ysbryd aflan. "Ysbryd mud a byddar," meddai wrtho, "yr wyf fi yn gorchymyn iti, tyrd allan ohono a phaid mynd i mewn iddo eto."
25When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”
26 A chan weiddi a'i ysgytian yn ffyrnig, aeth yr ysbryd allan. Aeth y bachgen fel corff, nes i lawer ddweud ei fod wedi marw.
26Having cried out, and convulsed greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”
27 Ond gafaelodd Iesu yn ei law ef a'i godi, a safodd ar ei draed.
27But Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.
28 Ac wedi iddo fynd i'r tu375? gofynnodd ei ddisgyblion iddo o'r neilltu, "Pam na allem ni ei fwrw ef allan?"
28When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”
29 Ac meddai wrthynt, "Dim ond trwy weddi y gall y math hwn fynd allan."
29He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.”
30 Wedi iddynt adael y lle hwnnw, yr oeddent yn teithio trwy Galilea. Ni fynnai Iesu i neb wybod hynny,
30They went out from there, and passed through Galilee. He didn’t want anyone to know it.
31 oherwydd yr oedd yn dysgu ei ddisgyblion ac yn dweud wrthynt, "Y mae Mab y Dyn yn cael ei draddodi i ddwylo pobl, ac fe'i lladdant ef, ac wedi cael ei ladd, ymhen tri diwrnod fe atgyfoda."
31For he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”
32 Ond nid oeddent hwy'n deall ei eiriau, ac yr oedd arnynt ofn ei holi.
32But they didn’t understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33 Daethant i Gapernaum, ac wedi cyrraedd y tu375? gofynnodd iddynt, "Beth oeddech chwi'n ei drafod ar y ffordd?"
33He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”
34 Ond tewi a wnaethant, oherwydd ar y ffordd buont yn dadlau 'i gilydd pwy oedd y mwyaf.
34But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest.
35 Eisteddodd i lawr a galwodd y Deuddeg, a dweud wrthynt, "Pwy bynnag sydd am fod yn flaenaf, rhaid iddo fod yn olaf o bawb ac yn was i bawb."
35He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
36 A chymerodd blentyn, a'i osod yn eu canol hwy; cymerodd ef i'w freichiau, a dywedodd wrthynt,
36He took a little child, and set him in their midst. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
37 "Pwy bynnag sy'n derbyn un plentyn fel hwn yn fy enw i, y mae'n fy nerbyn i, a phwy bynnag sy'n fy nerbyn i, nid myfi y mae'n ei dderbyn, ond yr hwn a'm hanfonodd i."
37 “Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn’t receive me, but him who sent me.”
38 Meddai Ioan wrtho, "Athro, gwelsom un yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid yn dy enw di, a buom yn ei wahardd, am nad oedd yn ein dilyn ni."
38John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”
39 Ond dywedodd Iesu, "Peidiwch 'i wahardd, oherwydd ni all neb sy'n gwneud gwyrth yn fy enw i roi drygair imi yn fuan wedyn.
39But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
40 Y sawl nid yw yn ein herbyn, drosom ni y mae.
40 For whoever is not against us is on our side.
41 Oherwydd pwy bynnag a rydd gwpanaid o ddu373?r i chwi i'w yfed o achos eich bod yn perthyn i'r Meseia, yn wir, rwy'n dweud wrthych, ni chyll ei wobr.
41 For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
42 "A phwy bynnag sy'n achos cwymp i un o'r rhai bychain hyn sy'n credu ynof fi, byddai'n well iddo fod wedi ei daflu i'r mr maen melin mawr ynghrog am ei wddf.
42 Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
43 Os bydd dy law yn achos cwymp iti, tor hi ymaith; y mae'n well iti fynd i mewn i'r bywyd yn anafus na mynd, a'r ddwy law gennyt, i uffern, i'r tn anniffoddadwy.
43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,
44 [{cf15i lle nid yw eu pryf yn marw na'r tn yn diffodd.}]
44 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
45 Ac os bydd dy droed yn achos cwymp iti, tor ef ymaith; y mae'n well iti fynd i mewn i'r bywyd yn gloff na chael dy daflu, a'r ddau droed gennyt, i uffern.
45 If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire that will never be quenched—
46 [{cf15i lle nid yw eu pryf yn marw na'r tn yn diffodd.}]
46 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
47 Ac os bydd dy lygad yn achos cwymp iti, tyn ef allan; y mae'n well iti fynd i mewn i deyrnas Dduw yn unllygeidiog na chael dy daflu, a dau lygad gennyt, i uffern,
47 If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna of fire,
48 lle nid yw eu pryf yn marw na'r tn yn diffodd.
48 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
49 Oblegid fe helltir pob un thn.
49 For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
50 Da yw'r halen, ond os paid yr halen bod yn hallt, pha beth y rhowch flas arno? Bydded gennych halen ynoch eich hunain, a byddwch heddychlon tuag at eich gilydd."
50 Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
