Matthew

12

1 Yr amser hwnnw aeth Iesu drwy'r caeau u375?d ar y Saboth; yr oedd eisiau bwyd ar ei ddisgyblion, a dechreusant dynnu tywysennau a'u bwyta.
1At that time, Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the grain fields. His disciples were hungry and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
2 Pan welodd y Phariseaid hynny, meddent wrtho, "Edrych, y mae dy ddisgyblion yn gwneud peth sy'n groes i'r Gyfraith ar y Saboth."
2But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him, “Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”
3 Dywedodd yntau wrthynt, "Onid ydych wedi darllen beth a wnaeth Dafydd, pan oedd eisiau bwyd arno ef a'r rhai oedd gydag ef?
3But he said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did, when he was hungry, and those who were with him;
4 Sut yr aeth i mewn i du375? Dduw a sut y bwytasant y torthau cysegredig, nad oedd yn gyfreithlon iddo ef na'r rhai oedd gydag ef eu bwyta, ond i'r offeiriaid yn unig?
4 how he entered into God’s house, and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
5 Neu onid ydych wedi darllen yn y Gyfraith fod yr offeiriaid ar y Saboth yn y deml yn halogi'r Saboth ond eu bod yn ddieuog?
5 Or have you not read in the law, that on the Sabbath day, the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are guiltless?
6 'Rwy'n dweud wrthych fod rhywbeth mwy na'r deml yma.
6 But I tell you that one greater than the temple is here.
7 Pe buasech wedi deall beth yw ystyr y dywediad, 'Trugaredd a ddymunaf, nid aberth', ni fuasech wedi condemnio'r dieuog.
7 But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.
8 Oherwydd y mae Mab y Dyn yn arglwydd ar y Saboth."
8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9 Symudodd oddi yno a daeth i'w synagog hwy.
9He departed there, and went into their synagogue.
10 Yno yr oedd dyn a chanddo law ddiffrwyth. Gofynasant i Iesu, er mwyn cael cyhuddiad i'w ddwyn yn ei erbyn, "A yw'n gyfreithlon iachu ar y Saboth?"
10And behold there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” that they might accuse him.
11 Dywedodd yntau wrthynt, "Pwy ohonoch a chanddo un ddafad, os syrth honno i bydew ar y Saboth, na fydd yn gafael ynddi a'i chodi?
11He said to them, “What man is there among you, who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it, and lift it out?
12 Gymaint mwy gwerthfawr yw dyn na dafad. Am hynny y mae'n gyfreithlon gwneud da ar y Saboth."
12 Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”
13 Yna dywedodd wrth y dyn, "Estyn dy law." Estynnodd yntau hi, a gwnaed ei law yn holliach fel y llall.
13Then he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out; and it was restored whole, just like the other.
14 Ac fe aeth y Phariseaid allan a chynllwyn yn ei erbyn, sut i'w ladd.
14But the Pharisees went out, and conspired against him, how they might destroy him.
15 Ond daeth Iesu i wybod hyn, ac aeth ymaith oddi yno. Dilynodd llawer ef, ac fe iachaodd bawb ohonynt,
15Jesus, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Great multitudes followed him; and he healed them all,
16 a rhybuddiodd hwy i beidio 'i wneud yn hysbys,
16and commanded them that they should not make him known:
17 fel y cyflawnid y gair a lefarwyd trwy Eseia'r proffwyd:
17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
18 "Dyma fy ngwas, yr un a ddewisais, fy anwylyd, yr ymhyfrydodd fy enaid ynddo. Rhoddaf fy Ysbryd arno, a bydd yn cyhoeddi barn i'r Cenhedloedd.
18“Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit on him. He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19 Ni fydd yn ymrafael nac yn gweiddi, ac ni chlyw neb ei lais ef yn yr heolydd.
19He will not strive, nor shout; neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
20 Ni fydd yn mathru corsen doredig, nac yn diffodd cannwyll sy'n mygu, nes iddo ddwyn barn i fuddugoliaeth.
20He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a smoking flax, until he leads justice to victory.
21 Ac yn ei enw ef y bydd gobaith y Cenhedloedd."
21In his name, the nations will hope.”
22 Yna dygwyd ato ddyn chythraul ynddo, yn ddall a mud; iachaodd Iesu ef, nes bod y mudan yn llefaru a gweld.
22Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
23 A synnodd yr holl dyrfaoedd a dweud, "A yw'n bosibl mai hwn yw Mab Dafydd?"
23All the multitudes were amazed, and said, “Can this be the son of David?”
24 Ond pan glywodd y Phariseaid dywedasant, "Nid yw hwn yn bwrw allan gythreuliaid ond trwy Beelsebwl, pennaeth y cythreuliaid."
24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This man does not cast out demons, except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
25 Deallodd Iesu eu meddyliau a dywedodd wrthynt, "Caiff pob teyrnas a ymrannodd yn ei herbyn ei hun ei difrodi, ac ni bydd yr un dref na thu375? a ymrannodd yn ei erbyn ei hun yn sefyll.
25Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
26 Ac os yw Satan yn bwrw allan Satan, y mae wedi ymrannu yn ei erbyn ei hun; sut felly y saif ei deyrnas?
26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
27 Ac os trwy Beelsebwl yr wyf fi'n bwrw allan gythreuliaid, trwy bwy y mae eich disgyblion chwi yn eu bwrw allan? Am hynny hwy fydd yn eich barnu.
27 If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
28 Ond os trwy Ysbryd Duw yr wyf fi'n bwrw allan gythreuliaid, yna y mae teyrnas Dduw wedi cyrraedd atoch.
28 But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 Neu sut y gall rhywun fynd i mewn i du375? un cryf ac ysbeilio'i ddodrefn heb yn gyntaf rwymo'r un cryf? Wedyn caiff ysbeilio'i du375? ef.
29 Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? Then he will plunder his house.
30 Os nad yw rhywun gyda mi, yn fy erbyn i y mae, ac os nad yw'n casglu gyda mi, gwasgaru y mae.
30 “He who is not with me is against me, and he who doesn’t gather with me, scatters.
31 Am hynny 'rwy'n dweud wrthych, maddeuir pob pechod a chabledd i bobl, ond y cabledd yn erbyn yr Ysbryd ni faddeuir mohono.
31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
32 Caiff pwy bynnag a ddywed air yn erbyn Mab y Dyn, faddeuant; ond pwy bynnag a'i dywed yn erbyn yr Ysbryd Gln, ni chaiff faddeuant nac yn yr oes hon nac yn yr oes sydd i ddod.
32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, neither in this age, nor in that which is to come.
33 "Naill ai cyfrifwch y goeden yn dda a'i ffrwyth yn dda, neu cyfrifwch y goeden yn wael a'i ffrwyth yn wael. Wrth ei ffrwyth y mae'r goeden yn cael ei hadnabod.
33 “Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.
34 Chwi epil gwiberod, sut y gallwch lefaru pethau da, a chwi eich hunain yn ddrwg? Oherwydd yn l yr hyn sy'n llenwi'r galon y mae'r genau'n llefaru.
34 You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
35 Y mae'r dyn da o'i drysor da yn dwyn allan bethau da, a'r dyn drwg o'i drysor drwg yn dwyn allan bethau drwg.
35 The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.
36 'Rwy'n dweud wrthych am bob gair di-fudd a lefara pobl, fe roddant gyfrif amdano yn Nydd y Farn.
36 I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
37 Oherwydd wrth dy eiriau y cei dy gyfiawnhau, ac wrth dy eiriau y cei dy gondemnio."
37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
38 Yna dywedodd rhai o'r ysgrifenyddion a'r Phariseaid wrtho, "Athro, fe garem weld arwydd gennyt."
38Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”
39 Atebodd yntau, "Cenhedlaeth ddrygionus ac annuwiol sy'n ceisio arwydd, eto ni roddir arwydd iddi ond arwydd y proffwyd Jona.
39But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
40 Oherwydd fel y bu Jona ym mol y morfil am dri diwrnod a thair nos, felly y bydd Mab y Dyn yn nyfnder y ddaear am dri diwrnod a thair nos.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 Bydd pobl Ninefe yn codi yn y Farn gyda'r genhedlaeth hon ac yn ei chondemnio hi; oherwydd edifarhasant hwy dan genadwri Jona, ac yr ydych chwi'n gweld yma beth mwy na Jona.
41 The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.
42 Bydd Brenhines y De yn codi yn y Farn gyda'r genhedlaeth hon ac yn ei chondemnio; oherwydd daeth hi o eithafoedd y ddaear i glywed doethineb Solomon, ac yr ydych chwi'n gweld yma beth mwy na Solomon.
42 The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, someone greater than Solomon is here.
43 "Pan fydd ysbryd aflan yn mynd allan o rywun, bydd yn rhodio trwy fannau sychion gan geisio gorffwysfa, ac nid yw yn ei gael.
43 But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passes through waterless places, seeking rest, and doesn’t find it.
44 Yna y mae'n dweud, 'Mi ddychwelaf i'm cartref, y lle y deuthum ohono.' Wedi cyrraedd, y mae'n ei gael yn wag, wedi ei ysgubo a'i osod mewn trefn.
44 Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came out,’ and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
45 Yna y mae'n mynd ac yn cymryd gydag ef saith ysbryd arall mwy drygionus nag ef ei hun; y maent yn dod i mewn ac yn ymgartrefu yno; ac y mae cyflwr olaf y dyn hwnnw yn waeth na'r cyntaf. Felly hefyd y bydd i'r genhedlaeth ddrwg hon."
45 Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation.”
46 Tra oedd ef yn dal i siarad 'r tyrfaoedd, yr oedd ei fam a'i frodyr yn sefyll y tu allan yn ceisio siarad ag ef.
46While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to him.
47 Dywedodd rhywun wrtho, "Dacw dy fam a'th frodyr yn sefyll y tu allan yn ceisio siarad thi."
47One said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, seeking to speak to you.”
48 Atebodd Iesu ef, "Pwy yw fy mam, a phwy yw fy mrodyr?"
48But he answered him who spoke to him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
49 A chan estyn ei law at ei ddisgyblion dywedodd, "Dyma fy mam a'm brodyr i.
49He stretched out his hand towards his disciples, and said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
50 Oherwydd pwy bynnag sy'n gwneud ewyllys fy Nhad, yr hwn sydd yn y nefoedd, y mae hwnnw'n frawd i mi, ac yn chwaer, ac yn fam."
50 For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
