1 1 Salm. I Asaff.0 Duw y duwiau, yr ARGLWYDD, a lefarodd; galwodd y ddaear o godiad haul hyd ei fachlud.
1The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks, and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.
2 O Seion, berffaith ei phrydferthwch, y llewyrcha Duw.
2Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.
3 Fe ddaw ein Duw, ac ni fydd ddistaw; bydd tn yn ysu o'i flaen, a thymestl fawr o'i gwmpas.
3Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him.
4 Y mae'n galw ar y nefoedd uchod, ac ar y ddaear, er mwyn barnu ei bobl:
4He calls to the heavens above, to the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 "Casglwch ataf fy ffyddloniaid, a wnaeth gyfamod mi trwy aberth."
5“Gather my saints together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
6 Bydd y nefoedd yn cyhoeddi ei gyfiawnder, oherwydd Duw ei hun sydd farnwr. Sela.
6The heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah.
7 "Gwrandewch, fy mhobl, a llefaraf; dygaf dystiolaeth yn dy erbyn, O Israel; myfi yw Duw, dy Dduw di.
7“Hear, my people, and I will speak; Israel, and I will testify against you. I am God, your God.
8 Ni cheryddaf di am dy aberthau, oherwydd y mae dy boethoffrymau'n wastad ger fy mron.
8I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me.
9 Ni chymeraf fustach o'th du375?, na bychod geifr o'th gorlannau;
9I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens.
10 oherwydd eiddof fi holl fwystfilod y goedwig, a'r gwartheg ar fil o fryniau.
10For every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills.
11 Yr wyf yn adnabod holl adar yr awyr, ac eiddof fi holl greaduriaid y maes.
11I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild animals of the field are mine.
12 Pe bawn yn newynu, ni ddywedwn wrthyt ti, oherwydd eiddof fi'r byd a'r hyn sydd ynddo.
12If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
13 A fwytf fi gig eich teirw, neu yfed gwaed eich bychod geifr?
13Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Rhowch i Dduw offrymau diolch, a thalwch eich addunedau i'r Goruchaf.
14Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High.
15 Os gelwi arnaf yn nydd cyfyngder fe'th waredaf, a byddi'n fy anrhydeddu."
15Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
16 Ond wrth y drygionus fe ddywed Duw, "Pa hawl sydd gennyt i adrodd fy neddfau, ac i gymryd fy nghyfamod ar dy wefusau?
16But to the wicked God says, “What right do you have to declare my statutes, that you have taken my covenant on your lips,
17 Yr wyt yn casu disgyblaeth ac yn bwrw fy ngeiriau o'th l.
17since you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you?
18 Os gweli leidr, fe ei i'w ganlyn, a bwrw dy goel gyda godinebwyr.
18When you saw a thief, you consented with him, and have participated with adulterers.
19 Y mae dy enau'n ymollwng i ddrygioni, a'th dafod yn nyddu twyll.
19“You give your mouth to evil. Your tongue frames deceit.
20 Yr wyt yn parhau i dystio yn erbyn dy frawd, ac yn enllibio mab dy fam.
20You sit and speak against your brother. You slander your own mother’s son.
21 Gwnaethost y pethau hyn, bm innau ddistaw; tybiaist dithau fy mod fel ti dy hun, ond ceryddaf di, a dwyn achos yn dy erbyn.
21You have done these things, and I kept silent. You thought that I was just like you. I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.
22 "Ystyriwch hyn, chwi sy'n anghofio Duw, rhag imi eich darnio heb neb i arbed.
22“Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver.
23 Y sawl sy'n cyflwyno offrymau diolch sy'n fy anrhydeddu, ac i'r sawl sy'n dilyn fy ffordd y dangosaf iachawdwriaeth Duw."
23Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God’s salvation to him.”
