¹خداوند را شکر کنید و نام او را بخوانید. اعمال او را به ملتها اعلام نمائید.

¹O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

²برای او سرود بسرائید و او را ستایش کنید. از همه کارهای شگفت انگیز او خبر بدهید.

²Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

³در نام مقدس او فخر کنید و دل مشتاقان خداوند شادمان باشد.

³Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

⁴خداوند و قوّت او را بطلبید و روی او را پیوسته بجوئید.

⁴Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

⁵معجزاتی را که او انجام داده است به یاد آورید، همچنان نشانه های شگفت انگیز و داوری های دهان او را.

⁵Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

⁶ای نسل بندۀ او ابراهیم و ای اولادۀ یعقوب، برگزیدۀ او.

⁶O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

⁷خداوند، خدای ماست! داوری های او در تمامی جهان است.

⁷He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

⁸عهد خود را یاد می دارد تا به ابد و کلامی را که بر هزاران پشت فرموده است،

⁸He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

⁹آن عهدی را که با ابراهیم بسته و وعده ای را که برای اسحاق داده است.

⁹Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

¹⁰آنرا برای یعقوب به عنوان فریضه ای استوار ساخت و برای اسرائیل عهد جاودانی.

¹⁰And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

¹¹او گفت که سرزمین کنعان را به تو می دهم تا ملکیت شما گردد.

¹¹Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

¹²هنگامیکه تعداد شان محدود و کم بود و در آنجا مثل بیگانگان بسر می بردند

¹²When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

¹³و از یک ملت به ملت دیگر و از یک مملکت به قوم دیگر می رفتند،

¹³When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

¹⁴او نگذاشت که کسی بر ایشان ظلم کند و حتی پادشاهان را به خاطر ایشان توبیخ نمود.

¹⁴He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

¹⁵او فرمود: «بر مَسح شدگان من دست نزنید و به انبیای من ضرر نرسانید.»

¹⁵Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

¹⁶پس قحطی را در آن زمین آورد و مایۀ زیست و نان آن ها را از بین برد.

¹⁶Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

¹⁷او مردی را پیشتر از آن ها فرستاد، یعنی یوسف که به عنوان غلام فروخته شد.

¹⁷He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

¹⁸پاهای یوسف را به زنجیر بستند و به گردن وی حلقۀ آهنی انداختند،

¹⁸Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

¹⁹تا وقتیکه پیشگویی اش به وقوع پیوست و کلام خداوند او را از آزمایش گذشتانده و تصدیق فرمود.

¹⁹Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

²⁰آنگاه پادشاه او را از بند رهایی بخشید و سلطان قوم ها او را از زندان آزاد کرد.

²⁰The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

²¹او را بر خانۀ خود ناظر مقرر کرد و اختیار تمام دارائی خود را به وی سپرد،

²¹He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

²²تا به ارادۀ خود بر بزرگان فرعون سروری کند و مشایخ او را حکمت آموزد.

²²To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

²³سپس اسرائیل به مصر درآمدند و یعقوب در زمین حام غربت پذیرفت.

²³Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

²⁴خداوند قوم برگزیدۀ خود را بی نهایت بارور و زیاد گردانید و آن ها را قویتر از دشمنان شان ساخت.

²⁴And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

²⁵لیکن دل مردم مصر را برگردانید تا بر قوم برگزیدۀ او کینه ورزند و با بندگان او با حیله رفتار نمایند.

²⁵He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

²⁶بعد بندۀ خود موسی و هارون را که برگزیده بود، فرستاد.

²⁶He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

²⁷آن ها نشانه های شگفت انگیز او را در میان مصریان انجام دادند و معجزات او را در سرزمین حام.

²⁷They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

²⁸ظلمت را فرستاد که تاریکی شد و ایشان نتوانستند که به کلام او مخالفت ورزند.

²⁸He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

²⁹آب های آن ها را به خون تبدیل کرد و تمام ماهی های شان مُردند.

²⁹He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

³⁰بعد بقه ها به آن کشور هجوم آوردند و حتی قصر سلطنتی هم پُر از بقه شد.

³⁰Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

³¹به امر خداوند انواع مگس ها و پشه ها در سراسر آن کشور پیدا شدند.

³¹He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

³²به جای باران، ژاله و شعله های آتش را به کشور شان فرستاد.

³²He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

³³تاک ها و انجیرهای شان را زد و درختان آن محل را شکست.

³³He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

³⁴به فرمان او خیل ملخ و کرمهای بی شمار پیدا شدند

³⁴He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

³⁵و همه نباتات و میوه های آنجا را خوردند.

³⁵And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

³⁶تمامی نخست زادگان را در زمین ایشان زد، که اولباری های قوّت شان به شمار می رفت.

³⁶He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

³⁷آنگاه قوم اسرائیل را که همگی سالم و نیرومند بودند، با نقره و طلا از مصر خارج کرد.

³⁷He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

³⁸مصر از بیرون رفتن ایشان شاد بود، زیرا خوف ایشان بر مردم مصر قرار گرفته بود.

³⁸Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

³⁹ابری را برای شان مثل سایبان گسترانید و آتشی که در شب روشنایی دهد.

³⁹He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

⁴⁰وقتی از او درخواست کردند، پرندۀ سَلوی «بودنه» را فرستاد و ایشان را از نان آسمان سیر گردانید.

⁴⁰The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

⁴¹صخره را بشگافت و آب جاری شد و در جاهای خشک مثل نهر روان گردید.

⁴¹He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

⁴²زیرا کلام مقدس خود را به یاد آورد و بندۀ خویش ابراهیم را.

⁴²For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

⁴³او قوم برگزیدۀ خود را با خوشی و سرود شادمانی بیرون آورد

⁴³And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

⁴⁴و سرزمین اقوام دیگر را به آن ها داد و حاصل زحمت آن ها را به قوم برگزیدۀ خود بخشید.تا آنکه فرایض او را نگاه دارند و احکام او را بجا آورند. هَلّلِویاه، سپاس به خداوند!

⁴⁴And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

⁴⁵تا آنکه فرایض او را نگاه دارند و احکام او را بجا آورند. هَلّلِویاه، سپاس به خداوند!

⁴⁵That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
