1خداوند چوپان من است. محتاج به هیچ چیز نخواهم بود.
1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2مرا در علفچرهای سر سبز قرار می دهد. نزد چشمه های راحت راهنمائی ام می کند.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3به من روح تازه می بخشد و به خاطر نام خود به راههای عدالت هدایتم می نماید.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4حتی هنگام عبور از درۀ تاریک مرگ از بدی نمی ترسم، زیرا تو همراه من می باشی. عصا و چوب دستی تو مرا تسلی می دهد.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5در حضور دشمنانم سفره ای برایم تهیه نموده، سر مرا به روغن تدهین می نمائی و پیمانه ام را لبریز می کنی.یقیناً احسان و رحمت تو تمام روزهای عمرم با من می باشد و در خانۀ خداوند تا به ابد ساکن خواهم بود.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
