1خداوند را همیشه ستایش می کنم؛ شکر و سپاس او همواره بر زبانم جاری است.
1I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2جان من در خداوند فخر می کند. مسکینان این را می شنوند و خوشحال می شوند.
2My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3بیائید خداوند را تمجید کنیم و با هم نام او را ستایش کنیم.
3O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4خداوند را طلبیدم و او مرا اجابت فرمود و از قید جمیع ترسهایم آزاد کرد.
4I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5آنهائی که بسوی او نظر می کنند، منور می گردند و هرگز خجل نخواهند شد.
5They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6این حقیر فریاد برآورد و خداوند او را شنید و او را از همۀ سختی هایش نجات داد.
6This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7فرشتۀ خداوند گرداگرد مردم خداترس است. او ایشان را محافظت کرده و می رهاند.
7The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8بچشید و ببینید که خداوند نیکو است. خوشا به حال کسی که به او پناه می برد.
8O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9ای مقدسین خداوند از او بترسید، زیرا شخص خداترس محتاج به هیچ چیزی نمی باشد.
9O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
10شیرها نیز نیازمند و گرسنه می گردند، اما کسانی که جویای خداوند هستند، از هیچ نعمت نیکو بی بهره نمی باشند.
10The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
11ای فرزندان، بیائید و به من گوش بدهید تا به شما درس خداترسی را بیاموزم.
11Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12آیا آرزومند زندگی هستی و دوست داری که عمر طولانی داشته باشی تا سعادت و نیکویی را ببینی؟
12What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13پس خود را از بدی و لبهایت را از سخنان فریبنده نگاه دار.
13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14از شرارت دوری نما و نیکویی کن؛ جویای صلح باش و جهت برقراری آن کوشش نما.
14Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15چشمان خداوند بسوی عادلان است و گوشهای وی متوجه فریاد ایشان.
15The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16روی خداوند ضد شریران است تا اثر ایشان را از زمین محو سازد.
16The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17وقتی راستکاران فریاد بر می آورند، خداوند ایشان را شنیده و از تمام سختی ها نجات می دهد.
17The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18خداوند نزدیک دل شکستگان است و آنانی را که افسرده و اندوهگین اند، نجات می دهد.
18The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19رنج و زحمات شخص عادل زیاد است، اما خداوند او را از همۀ آن ها می رهاند.
19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20خداوند تمام استخوانهای او را حفظ می کند و نمی گذارد حتی یکی از آن ها شکسته شود.
20He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
21شریر از شرارت خود هلاک می گردد و دشمنان شخص عادل مورد بازخواست قرار می گیرند.خداوند جان بندگان خود را نجات می دهد و از کسانی که به او پناه می برند بازخواست نمی شود.
21Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22خداوند جان بندگان خود را نجات می دهد و از کسانی که به او پناه می برند بازخواست نمی شود.
22The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
