¹ای خدا، امت ها به سرزمین تو داخل شده، عبادتگاه مقدس تو را بی حرمت ساختند و اورشلیم را به خرابه ای تبدیل نمودند.

¹O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

²اجساد بندگانت را خوراک مرغان هوا ساختند و گوشت بدن خادمانت را به حیوانات وحشی دادند.

²The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

³خون شان را در کوچه های اورشلیم مثل آب ریختند و کسی نبود که آن ها را دفن کند.

³Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.

⁴نزد همسایگان خود خوار شده و پیش اطرافیان خود رسوا و مسخره گردیده ایم.

⁴We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

⁵تا کی ای خداوند، تا به ابد خشمناک می باشی؟ تا کی غیرت تو مثل آتش افروخته خواهد ماند؟

⁵How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

⁶غضب خود را بر سر اقوامی که تو را نمی شناسند بریز و بر ممالکی که نام تو را نمی خوانند.

⁶Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.

⁷زیرا که بنی یعقوب را بلعیده و محل سکونت شان را ویران کرده اند.

⁷For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.

⁸گناهان اجداد ما را به حساب ما میاور. رحمت های تو بزودی پیش روی ما آید، زیرا که بسیار خوار شده ایم.

⁸O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.

⁹ای خدا، ای نجات دهندۀ ما، به خاطر جلال نام خود ما را یاری فرما و ما را نجات ده و به خاطر نام خود گناهان ما را بیامرز.

⁹Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.

¹⁰چرا امت ها گویند که خدای ایشان کجاست؟ بگذار که پیش چشمان ما، انتقام خونِ ریخته شدۀ بندگانت بر امت ها معلوم شود.

¹⁰Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.

¹¹نالۀ اسیران به حضور تو برسد و بر حسب عظمت قدرت خود آنانی را که به مرگ سپرده شده اند، نجات ده.

¹¹Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;

¹²ای خداوند، به همسایگان ما که به تو بی حرمتی کرده اند، جزای هفت چندان برسان.آنگاه ما که قوم برگزیدۀ تو و گوسفندان چراگاه تو هستیم، تا ابد از تو شکرگزار بوده و نسل اندر نسل ستایش تو را بیان خواهیم کرد.

¹²And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

¹³آنگاه ما که قوم برگزیدۀ تو و گوسفندان چراگاه تو هستیم، تا ابد از تو شکرگزار بوده و نسل اندر نسل ستایش تو را بیان خواهیم کرد.

¹³So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
