1ای خداوند قادر مطلق، چه دلپذیر است مسکن های تو!
1How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
2جان من اشتیاق شدید برای صحنهای خداوند دارد. دلم و تمام وجودم با آواز بلند خدای زنده را ستایش می کند.
2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3در کنار قربانگاه های تو ای خدای قادر مطلق، که پادشاه من و خدای من هستی، حتی گنجشک نیز برای خود خانه ای پیدا کرده است و غُچی برای خویشتن آشیانه ای تا چوچه های خود را در آن بگذارد.
3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
4خوشا به حال کسانی که در خانۀ تو ساکن هستند و همیشه سرود ستایش تو را می خوانند.
4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5خوشا به حال مردمانی که قوّت ایشان در تو است و طریق های تو در دلهای ایشان.
5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6وقتی که از وادی بکاء یعنی بیابان خشک عبور می کنند، آنجا چشمه سار می شود و باران آنرا با برکات پُر می کند.
6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7از قوّت تا قوّت می خرامند و هر یک آن ها در سهیون نزد خدا حاضر می شوند.
7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
8ای خداوند، خدای قادر مطلق، دعای مرا بشنو! ای خدای یعقوب، به من گوش بده!
8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9ای خدایی که سپر ما هستی، ببین و به روی مسیح خود نظر انداز.
9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10یک روز در صحنهای تو بهتر است از هزار در جای دیگر. ایستادن بر آستانۀ خانۀ خدای خود را بیشتر می پسندم تا ساکن شدن در خیمه های شریران.
10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11زیرا خداوند، خدا آفتاب و سپر است. خداوند فیض و جلال خواهد داد و هیچ چیز نیکو را منع نخواهد کرد از آنانی که پیرو راستی هستند.ای خداوند قادر مطلق، خوشا به حال کسی که بر تو توکل دارد.
11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12ای خداوند قادر مطلق، خوشا به حال کسی که بر تو توکل دارد.
12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
