1A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah; but a just weight is his delight.
1 Y mae cloriannau twyllodrus yn ffiaidd gan yr ARGLWYDD, ond pwysau cywir wrth ei fodd.
2[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame; but with the lowly is wisdom.
2 Yn dilyn balchder fe ddaw amarch, ond gyda'r rhai gwylaidd y mae doethineb.
3The integrity of the upright guideth them; but the crookedness of the unfaithful destroyeth them.
3 Y mae eu gonestrwydd yn arwain yr uniawn, ond eu gwyrni eu hunain yn difa'r twyllwyr.
4Wealth profiteth not in the day of wrath; but righteousness delivereth from death.
4 Nid oes gwerth mewn cyfoeth yn nydd dicter, ond y mae cyfiawnder yn amddiffyn rhag angau.
5The righteousness of the perfect maketh plain his way; but the wicked falleth by his own wickedness.
5 Y mae cyfiawnder y cywir yn ei gadw ar y ffordd union, ond cwympa'r drygionus trwy ei ddrygioni.
6The righteousness of the upright delivereth them; but the treacherous are taken in their own craving.
6 Y mae eu cyfiawnder yn gwaredu'r uniawn, ond eu trachwant yn fagl i'r twyllwyr.
7When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish; and the hope of evil [men] perisheth.
7 Pan fydd farw'r drygionus, derfydd gobaith, a daw terfyn ar hyder mewn cyfoeth.
8The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
8 Gwaredir y cyfiawn rhag adfyd, ond fe �'r drygionus dros ei ben iddo.
9With his mouth a hypocrite destroyeth his neighbour; but through knowledge are the righteous delivered.
9 Y mae'r annuwiol yn dinistrio'i gymydog �'i eiriau, ond gwaredir y cyfiawn trwy ddeall.
10When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth; and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
10 Ymhyfryda dinas yn llwyddiant y cyfiawn, a cheir gorfoledd pan ddinistrir y drygionus.
11By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted; but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
11 Dyrchefir dinas gan fendith yr uniawn, ond dinistrir hi trwy eiriau'r drygionus.
12He that despiseth his neighbour is void of heart; but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
12 Y mae'r disynnwyr yn dilorni ei gymydog, ond cadw'n dawel a wna'r deallus.
13He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets; but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
13 Y mae'r straegar yn bradychu cyfrinach, ond y mae'r teyrngar yn ei chadw.
14Where no advice is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
14 Heb ei chyfarwyddo, methu a wna cenedl, ond y mae diogelwch mewn llawer o gynghorwyr.
15It goeth ill with him that is surety for another; but he that hateth suretyship is secure.
15 Daw helbul o fynd yn feichiau dros ddieithryn, ond y mae'r un sy'n cas�u mechn�aeth yn ddiogel.
16A gracious woman retaineth honour; and the violent retain riches.
16 Y mae gwraig raslon yn cael clod, ond pobl ddidostur sy'n ennill cyfoeth.
17The merciful man doeth good to his own soul; but the cruel troubleth his own flesh.
17 Dwyn elw iddo'i hun y mae'r trugarog, ond ei niweidio'i hun y mae'r creulon.
18The wicked worketh a deceitful work; but he that soweth righteousness hath a sure reward.
18 Gwneud elw twyllodrus y mae'r drygionus, ond caiff yr un sy'n hau cyfiawnder gyflog teg.
19As righteousness [tendeth] to life, so he that pursueth evil [doeth it] to his own death.
19 I'r un sy'n glynu wrth gyfiawnder daw bywyd, ond i'r sawl sy'n dilyn drygioni marwolaeth.
20The perverse in heart are abomination to Jehovah; but they that are perfect in [their] way are his delight.
20 Y mae'r rhai gwrthnysig yn ffiaidd gan yr ARGLWYDD, ond y mae'r rhai cywir wrth ei fodd.
21Hand for hand! an evil [man] shall not be held innocent; but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
21 Y mae'n sicr na chaiff un drwg osgoi cosb, ond caiff plant y cyfiawn fynd yn rhydd.
22A fair woman who is without discretion, is [as] a gold ring in a swine's snout.
22 Fel modrwy aur yn nhrwyn hwch, felly y mae gwraig brydferth heb synnwyr.
23The desire of the righteous is only good; the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
23 Dymuno'r hyn sydd dda a wna'r cyfiawn, ond diflanna gobaith y drygionus.
24There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is right, but [it tendeth] only to want.
24 Y mae un yn hael, ac eto'n ennill cyfoeth, ond arall yn grintach, a phob amser mewn angen.
25The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
25 Llwydda'r un a wasgar fendithion, a diwellir yr un a ddiwalla eraill.
26He that withholdeth corn, the people curse him; but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
26 Y mae pobl yn melltithio'r un sy'n cronni u375?d, ond yn bendithio'r sawl sy'n ei werthu.
27He that is earnest after good seeketh favour; but he that searcheth for mischief, it shall come upon him.
27 Y mae'r un sy'n ceisio daioni yn ennill ffafr, ond syrth drygioni ar y sawl sy'n ei ddilyn.
28He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a leaf.
28 Cwympa'r un sy'n ymddiried yn ei gyfoeth, ond ffynna'r cyfiawn fel deilen werdd.
29He that troubleth his own house shall inherit wind; and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
29 Y mae'r un sy'n peri helbul i'w deulu'n etifeddu'r gwynt, a bydd y ff�l yn was i'r doeth.
30The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the wise winneth souls.
30 Ffrwyth cyfiawnder yw pren y bywyd, ond y mae trais yn difa bywydau.
31Behold, the righteous shall be requited on the earth: how much more the wicked and the sinner.
31 Os caiff y cyfiawn ei dalu ar y ddaear, pa faint mwy y drygionus a'r pechadur?
