1Whoso loveth discipline loveth knowledge, but he that hateth reproof is brutish.
1 Y mae'r sawl sy'n caru disgyblaeth yn caru gwybodaeth, ond hurtyn sy'n cas�u cerydd.
2A good [man] obtaineth favour of Jehovah; but a man of mischievous devices will he condemn.
2 Y mae'r daionus yn ennill ffafr yr ARGLWYDD, ond condemnir y dichellgar.
3A man shall not be established by wickedness; but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
3 Ni ddiogelir neb trwy ddrygioni, ac ni ddiwreiddir y cyfiawn.
4A woman of worth is a crown to her husband; but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
4 Y mae gwraig fedrus yn goron i'w gu373?r, ond un ddigywilydd fel pydredd yn ei esgyrn.
5The thoughts of the righteous are right; the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
5 Y mae bwriadau'r cyfiawn yn gywir, ond cynlluniau'r drygionus yn dwyllodrus.
6The words of the wicked are a lying-in-wait for blood; but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.
6 Cynllwyn i dywallt gwaed yw geiriau'r drygionus, ond y mae ymadroddion y cyfiawn yn eu gwaredu.
7Overthrow the wicked, and they are no [more]; but the house of the righteous shall stand.
7 Dymchwelir y drygionus, a derfydd amdanynt, ond saif tu375?'r cyfiawn yn gadarn.
8A man is commended according to his wisdom; but he that is of a perverted heart shall be despised.
8 Canmolir rhywun ar sail ei ddeall, ond gwawdir y meddwl tro�dig.
9Better is he that is lightly esteemed, and hath a servant, than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.
9 Gwell bod yn ddiymhongar ac yn ennill tamaid, na bod yn ymffrostgar a heb fwyd.
10A righteous man is concerned for the life of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
10 Y mae'r cyfiawn yn ystyriol o'i anifail, ond y mae'r drygionus yn ddidostur.
11He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread; but he that followeth the worthless is void of understanding.
11 Y mae'r un sy'n trin ei dir yn cael digon o fwyd, ond y mae'r sawl sy'n dilyn oferedd yn ddisynnwyr.
12The wicked desireth the net of evil [men]; but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].
12 Blysia'r drygionus am ysbail drygioni, ond y mae gwreiddyn y cyfiawn yn sicr.
13In the transgression of the lips is an evil snare; but a righteous [man] shall go forth out of trouble.
13 Meglir y drwg gan dramgwydd ei eiriau, ond dianc y cyfiawn rhag adfyd.
14A man is satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth; and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.
14 Trwy ffrwyth ei eiriau y digonir pob un � daioni, a thelir iddo yn �l yr hyn a wnaeth.
15The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.
15 Y mae ffordd y ff�l yn iawn yn ei olwg, ond gwrendy'r doeth ar gyngor.
16The vexation of the fool is presently known; but a prudent [man] covereth shame.
16 Buan y dengys y ff�l ei fod wedi ei gythruddo, ond y mae'r call yn anwybyddu sarhad.
17He that uttereth truth sheweth forth righteousness; but a false witness deceit.
17 Y mae tyst gonest yn dweud y gwir, ond celwydd a draetha'r gau dyst.
18There is that babbleth like the piercings of a sword; but the tongue of the wise is health.
18 Y mae geiriau'r straegar fel brath cleddyf, ond y mae tafod y doeth yn iach�u.
19The lip of truth shall be established for ever; but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
19 Erys geiriau gwir am byth, ond ymadrodd celwyddog am eiliad.
20Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil; but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
20 Dichell sydd ym meddwl y rhai sy'n cynllwynio drwg, ond daw llawenydd i'r rhai sy'n cynllunio heddwch.
21There shall no evil happen to a righteous [man]; but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.
21 Ni ddaw unrhyw niwed i'r cyfiawn, ond bydd y drygionus yn llawn helbul.
22Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah; but they that deal truly are his delight.
22 Y mae geiriau twyllodrus yn ffiaidd gan yr ARGLWYDD, ond y mae'r rhai sy'n gweithredu'n gywir wrth ei fodd.
23A prudent man concealeth knowledge; but the heart of the foolish proclaimeth folly.
23 Y mae'r call yn cuddio'i wybodaeth, ond ffyliaid yn cyhoeddi eu ffolineb.
24The hand of the diligent shall bear rule; but the slothful [hand] shall be under tribute.
24 Yn llaw y rhai diwyd y mae'r awdurdod, ond y mae diogi yn arwain i gaethiwed.
25Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh it glad.
25 Y mae pryder meddwl yn llethu rhywun, ond llawenheir ef gan air caredig.
26The righteous guideth his neighbour; but the way of the wicked misleadeth them.
26 Y mae'r cyfiawn yn cilio oddi wrth ddrwg, ond y mae ffordd y drygionus yn eu camarwain.
27The slothful roasteth not what he took in hunting; but man's precious substance is to the diligent.
27 Ni fydd y diogyn yn rhostio'i helfa, ond gan y diwyd bydd golud mawr.
28In the path of righteousness is life, and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
28 Ar ffordd cyfiawnder y mae bywyd, ac nid oes marwolaeth yn ei llwybrau.
