1The wisdom of women buildeth their house; but folly plucketh it down with her hands.
1 Y mae gwraig ddoeth yn adeiladu ei thu375?, ond y ff�l yn ei dynnu i lawr �'i dwylo'i hun.
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah; but he that is perverted in his ways despiseth him.
2 Y mae'r un sy'n rhodio'n gywir yn ofni'r ARGLWYDD, ond y cyfeiliornus ei ffyrdd yn ei ddirmygu.
3In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride; but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
3 Yng ngeiriau'r ff�l y mae gwialen i'w gefn, ond y mae ymadroddion y doeth yn ei amddiffyn.
4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
4 Heb ychen y mae'r preseb yn wag, ond trwy nerth ych ceir cynnyrch llawn.
5A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies.
5 Nid yw tyst gonest yn dweud celwydd, ond y mae gau dyst yn pentyrru anwireddau.
6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and there is none [for him]; but knowledge is easy unto the intelligent.
6 Chwilia'r gwatwarwr am ddoethineb heb ei chael, ond daw gwybodaeth yn rhwydd i'r deallus.
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, in whom thou perceivest not the lips of knowledge.
7 Cilia oddi wrth yr un ff�l, oherwydd ni chei eiriau deallus ganddo.
8The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way; but the folly of the foolish is deceit.
8 Y mae doethineb y call yn peri iddo ddeall ei ffordd, ond ffolineb y ffyliaid yn camarwain.
9Fools make a mock at trespass; but for the upright there is favour.
9 Y mae ffyliaid yn gwawdio euogrwydd, ond yr uniawn yn deall beth sy'n dderbyniol.
10The heart knoweth its own bitterness, and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
10 Gu373?yr y galon am ei chwerwder ei hun, ac ni all dieithryn gyfranogi o'i llawenydd.
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown; but the tent of the upright shall flourish.
11 Dinistrir tu375?'r drygionus, ond ffynna pabell yr uniawn.
12There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is the ways of death.
12 Y mae ffordd sy'n ymddangos yn union, ond sy'n arwain i farwolaeth yn ei diwedd.
13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of mirth is sadness.
13 Hyd yn oed wrth chwerthin gall fod y galon yn ofidus, a llawenydd yn troi'n dristwch yn y diwedd.
14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man from what is in himself.
14 Digonir y gwrthnysig gan ei ffyrdd ei hun, a'r daionus gan ei weithredoedd yntau.
15The simple believeth every word; but the prudent [man] heedeth his going.
15 Y mae'r gwirion yn credu pob gair, ond y mae'r call yn ystyried pob cam.
16A wise [man] feareth and departeth from evil; but the foolish is overbearing and confident.
16 Y mae'r doeth yn ofalus ac yn cilio oddi wrth ddrwg, ond y mae'r ff�l yn ddiofal a gorhyderus.
17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly, and a man of mischievous devices is hated.
17 Y mae'r diamynedd yn gweithredu'n ff�l, a chaseir yr un dichellgar.
18The simple inherit folly; but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
18 Ffolineb yw rhan y rhai gwirion, ond gwybodaeth yw coron y rhai call.
19The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous [man].
19 Ymgryma'r rhai drwg o flaen pobl dda, a'r drygionus wrth byrth y cyfiawn.
20He that is poor is hated even of his own neighbour; but the rich hath many friends.
20 Caseir y tlawd hyd yn oed gan ei gydnabod, ond y mae digon o gyfeillion gan y cyfoethog.
21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth; but he that is gracious to the afflicted, happy is he.
21 Y mae'r un a ddirmyga'i gymydog yn pechu, ond dedwydd yw'r un sy'n garedig wrth yr anghenus.
22Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.
22 Onid yw'r rhai sy'n cynllwynio drwg yn cyfeiliorni, ond y rhai sy'n cynllunio da yn deyrngar a ffyddlon?
23In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.
23 Ym mhob llafur y mae elw, ond y mae gwag-siarad yn arwain i angen.
24The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly.
24 Eu craffter yw coron y doeth, ond ffolineb yw addurn y ffyliaid.
25A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies.
25 Y mae tyst geirwir yn achub bywydau, ond y mae'r twyllwr yn pentyrru celwyddau.
26In the fear of Jehovah is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.
26 Yn ofn yr ARGLWYDD y mae sicrwydd y cadarn, a bydd yn noddfa i'w blant.
27The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.
27 Y mae ofn yr ARGLWYDD yn ffynnon fywiol i arbed rhag maglau marwolaeth.
28In the multitude of people is the king's glory; but in the lack of people is the ruin of a prince.
28 Yn amlder pobl y mae anrhydedd brenin; ond heb bobl, dinistrir llywodraethwr.
29He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
29 Y mae digon o ddeall gan yr amyneddgar, ond dyrchafu ffolineb a wna'r byr ei dymer.
30A sound heart is the life of the flesh; but envy the rottenness of the bones.
30 Meddwl iach yw iechyd y corff, ond cancr i'r esgyrn yw cenfigen.
31He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker; but he that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy.
31 Y mae'r un sy'n gorthrymu'r tlawd yn amharchu ei Greawdwr, ond y sawl sy'n trugarhau wrth yr anghenus yn ei anrhydeddu.
32The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing; but the righteous trusteth, [even] in his death.
32 Dymchwelir y drygionus gan ei ddrygioni ei hun, ond caiff y cyfiawn loches hyd yn oed wrth farw.
33Wisdom resteth in the heart of the intelligent [man]; but that which is in the foolish maketh itself known.
33 Trig doethineb ym meddwl y deallus, ond dirmygir hi ymysg ffyliaid.
34Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to peoples.
34 Y mae cyfiawnder yn dyrchafu cenedl, ond pechod yn warth ar bobloedd.
35The king's favour is toward a wise servant; but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.
35 Rhydd brenin ffafr i was deallus, ond digia wrth yr un a'i sarha.
