1Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding give forth her voice?
1 Onid yw doethineb yn galw, a deall yn codi ei lais?
2On the top of high places by the way, at the cross-paths she taketh her stand.
2 Y mae'n sefyll ar y mannau uchel ar fin y ffordd, ac yn ymyl y croesffyrdd;
3Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud.
3 Y mae'n galw gerllaw'r pyrth sy'n arwain i'r dref, wrth y fynedfa at y pyrth:
4Unto you, men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of man:
4 "Arnoch chwi, bobl, yr wyf yn galw, ac atoch chwi, ddynolryw, y daw fy llais.
5O ye simple, understand prudence; and ye foolish, understand sense.
5 Chwi, y rhai gwirion, dysgwch graffter, a chwithau, ffyliaid, ceisiwch synnwyr.
6Hear, for I will speak excellent things, and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
6 Gwrandewch, oherwydd traethaf bethau gwerthfawr, a daw geiriau gonest o'm genau.
7For my palate shall meditate truth, and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
7 Traetha fy nhafod y gwir, ac y mae anwiredd yn ffiaidd gan fy ngenau.
8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing tortuous or perverse in them.
8 Y mae fy holl eiriau yn gywir; nid yw'r un ohonynt yn u373?yr na thraws.
9They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
9 Y mae'r cyfan yn eglur i'r deallus, ac yn uniawn i'r un sy'n ceisio gwybodaeth.
10Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold:
10 Derbyniwch fy nghyfarwyddyd yn hytrach nag arian, oherwydd gwell yw nag aur.
11for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not equal to it.
11 Yn wir, y mae doethineb yn well na gemau, ac ni all yr holl bethau dymunol gystadlu � hi.
12I wisdom dwell [with] prudence, and find the knowledge [which cometh] of reflection.
12 Yr wyf fi, doethineb, yn byw gyda chraffter, ac wedi cael gwybodaeth a synnwyr.
13The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth do I hate.
13 Ofn yr ARGLWYDD yw cas�u drygioni; yr wyf yn ffieiddio balchder ac uchelgais, ffordd drygioni a geiriau traws.
14Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am intelligence; I have strength.
14 Fy eiddo i yw cyngor a chraffter, a chennyf fi y mae deall a gallu.
15By me kings reign, and rulers make just decrees;
15 Trwof fi y teyrnasa brenhinoedd, ac y llunia llywodraethwyr ddeddfau cyfiawn.
16by me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.
16 Trwof fi y caiff tywysogion awdurdod, ac y barna penaethiaid yn gyfiawn.
17I love those that love me; and they that seek me early shall find me.
17 Yr wyf yn caru pob un sy'n fy ngharu i, ac y mae'r rhai sy'n fy ngheisio'n ddyfal yn fy nghael.
18Riches and honour are with me; durable wealth and righteousness.
18 Gennyf fi y mae cyfoeth ac anrhydedd, digonedd o olud a chyfiawnder.
19My fruit is better than fine gold, yea, than pure gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
19 Y mae fy ffrwythau'n well nag aur, aur coeth, a'm cynnyrch yn well nag arian pur.
20I walk in the path of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
20 Rhodiaf ar hyd ffordd cyfiawnder, ar ganol llwybrau barn,
21that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasuries.
21 a rhoddaf gyfoeth i'r rhai a'm c�r, a llenwi eu trysordai.
22Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
22 "Lluniodd yr ARGLWYDD fi ar ddechrau ei waith, yn gyntaf o'i weithredoedd gynt.
23I was set up from eternity, from the beginning, before the earth was.
23 Fe'm sefydlwyd yn y gorffennol pell, yn y dechrau, cyn bod daear.
24When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water.
24 Ganwyd fi cyn bod dyfnderau, cyn bod ffynhonnau yn llawn du373?r.
25Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth;
25 Cyn gosod sylfeini'r mynyddoedd, cyn bod y bryniau, y ganwyd fi,
26while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
26 cyn iddo greu tir a meysydd, ac o flaen pridd y ddaear.
27When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he ordained the circle upon the face of the deep;
27 Yr oeddwn i yno pan oedd yn gosod y nefoedd yn ei lle ac yn rhoi cylch dros y dyfnder,
28when he established the skies above, when the fountains of the deep became strong;
28 pan oedd yn cadarnhau'r cymylau uwchben ac yn sicrhau ffynhonnau'r dyfnder,
29when he imposed on the sea his decree that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
29 pan oedd yn gosod terfyn i'r m�r, rhag i'r dyfroedd anufuddhau i'w air, a phan oedd yn cynllunio sylfeini'r ddaear.
30then I was by him [his] nursling, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
30 Yr oeddwn i wrth ei ochr yn gyson, yn hyfrydwch iddo beunydd, yn ddifyrrwch o'i flaen yn wastad,
31rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights [were] with the sons of men.
31 yn ymddifyrru yn y byd a greodd, ac yn ymhyfrydu mewn pobl.
32And now, sons, hearken unto me, and blessed are they that keep my ways:
32 "Yn awr, blant, gwrandewch arnaf; gwyn eu byd y rhai sy'n cadw fy ffyrdd.
33hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not.
33 Gwrandewch ar gyfarwyddyd, a byddwch ddoeth; peidiwch �'i anwybyddu.
34Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
34 Gwyn ei fyd y sawl sy'n gwrando arnaf, sy'n disgwyl yn wastad wrth fy nrws, ac yn gwylio wrth fynedfa fy nhu375?.
35For whoso findeth me findeth life, and obtaineth favour of Jehovah;
35 Yn wir, y mae'r un sy'n fy nghael i yn cael bywyd, ac yn ennill ffafr yr ARGLWYDD;
36but he that sinneth against me doeth violence to his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
36 ond y mae'r un sy'n methu fy nghael yn ei ddinistrio'i hun, a phawb sy'n fy nghas�u yn caru marwolaeth."
