¹{A Song; a Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.} Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the hill of his holiness.

¹主は大いなる神であって、われらの神の都、その聖なる山で、大いにほめたたえらるべき方である。

²Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

²シオンの山は北の端が高くて、うるわしく、全地の喜びであり、大いなる王の都である。

³God is known in her palaces as a high fortress.

³そのもろもろの殿のうちに神はみずからを高きやぐらとして現された。

⁴For behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together;

⁴見よ、王らは相会して共に進んできたが、

⁵They saw, -- so they marvelled; they were troubled, they fled in consternation:

⁵彼らは都を見るや驚き、あわてふためき、急ぎ逃げ去った。

⁶Trembling took hold upon them there; anguish, as of a woman in travail.

⁶おののきは彼らに臨み、その苦しみは産みの苦しみをする女のようであった。

⁷With an east wind thou hast broken the ships of Tarshish.

⁷あなたは東風を起してタルシシの舟を破られた。

⁸As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God: God doth establish it for ever. Selah.

⁸さきにわれらが聞いたように、今われらは万軍の主の都、われらの神の都でこれを見ることができた。神はとこしえにこの都を堅くされる。〔セラ

⁹We have thought, O God, of thy loving-kindness, in the midst of thy temple.

⁹神よ、われらはあなたの宮のうちであなたのいつくしみを思いました。

¹⁰According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

¹⁰神よ、あなたの誉は、あなたのみ名のように、地のはてにまで及びます。あなたの右の手は勝利で満ちています。

¹¹Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

¹¹あなたのさばきのゆえに、シオンの山を喜ばせ、ユダの娘を楽しませてください。

¹²Walk about Zion, and go round about her: count the towers thereof;

¹²シオンのまわりを歩き、あまねくめぐって、そのやぐらを数え、

¹³Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: that ye may tell it to the generation following.

¹³その城壁に心をとめ、そのもろもろの殿をしらべよ。これはあなたがたが後の代に語り伝えるためである。これこそ神であり、世々かぎりなくわれらの神であって、とこしえにわれらを導かれるであろう。

¹⁴For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.

¹⁴これこそ神であり、世々かぎりなくわれらの神であって、とこしえにわれらを導かれるであろう。
