¹{To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song.} Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him.

¹神よ、立ちあがって、その敵を散らし、神を憎む者をみ前から逃げ去らせてください。

²As smoke is driven, thou wilt drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, the wicked shall perish at the presence of God.

²煙の追いやられるように彼らを追いやり、ろうの火の前に溶けるように悪しき者を神の前に滅ぼしてください。

³But the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.

³しかし正しい者を喜ばせ、神の前に喜び踊らせ、喜び楽しませてください。

⁴Sing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.

⁴神にむかって歌え、そのみ名をほめうたえ。雲に乗られる者にむかって歌声をあげよ。その名は主、そのみ前に喜び踊れ。

⁵A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

⁵その聖なるすまいにおられる神はみなしごの父、やもめの保護者である。

⁶God maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched [land].

⁶神は寄るべなき者に住むべき家を与え、めしゅうどを解いて幸福に導かれる。しかしそむく者はかわいた地に住む。

⁷O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness -- (Selah) --

⁷神よ、あなたが民に先だち出て、荒野を進み行かれたとき、〔セラ

⁸The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

⁸シナイの主なる神の前に、イスラエルの神なる神の前に、地は震い、天は雨を降らせました。

⁹Thou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.

⁹神よ、あなたは豊かな雨を降らせて、疲れ衰えたあなたの嗣業の地を回復され、

¹⁰Thy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!

¹⁰あなたの群れは、そのうちにすまいを得ました。神よ、あなたは恵みをもって貧しい者のために備えられました。

¹¹The Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.

¹¹主は命令を下される。おとずれを携えた女たちの大いなる群れは言う、

¹²Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.

¹²「もろもろの軍勢の王たちは逃げ去り、逃げ去った」と。家にとどまる女たちは獲物を分ける、

¹³Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, [ye shall be as] wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.

¹³たとい彼らは羊のおりの中にとどまるとも。はとの翼は、しろがねをもっておおわれ、その羽はきらめくこがねをもっておおわれる。

¹⁴When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.

¹⁴全能者がかしこで王たちを散らされたとき、ザルモンに雪が降った。

¹⁵[As] mount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, [as] mount Bashan.

¹⁵神の山、バシャンの山、峰かさなる山、バシャンの山よ。

¹⁶Why do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell [there] for ever.

¹⁶峰かさなるもろもろの山よ、何ゆえ神がすまいにと望まれた山をねたみ見るのか。まことに主はとこしえにそこに住まわれる。

¹⁷The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.

¹⁷主は神のいくさ車幾千万をもって、シナイから聖所に来られた。

¹⁸Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even [for] the rebellious, for the dwelling [there] of Jah Elohim.

¹⁸あなたはとりこを率い、人々のうちから、またそむく者のうちから贈り物をうけて、高い山に登られた。主なる神がそこに住まわれるためである。

¹⁹Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us [with good], the ùGod who is our salvation. Selah.

¹⁹日々にわれらの荷を負われる主はほむべきかな。神はわれらの救である。〔セラ

²⁰Our ùGod is the ùGod of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth [even] from death.

²⁰われらの神は救の神である。死からのがれ得るのは主なる神による。

²¹Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.

²¹神はその敵のこうべを打ち砕き、おのがとがの中に歩む者の毛深い頭のいただきを打ち砕かれる。

²²The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depth of the sea;

²²主は言われた、「わたしはバシャンから彼らを携え帰り、海の深い所から彼らを携え帰る。

²³That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.

²³あなたはその足を彼らの血に浸し、あなたの犬の舌はその分け前を敵から得るであろう」と。

²⁴They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my ùGod, my King, in the sanctuary.

²⁴神よ、人々はあなたのこうごうしい行列を見た。わが神、わが王の、聖所に進み行かれるのを見た。

²⁵The singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.

²⁵歌う者は前に行き、琴をひく者はあとになり、おとめらはその間にあって手鼓を打って言う、

²⁶In the congregations bless ye God, the Lord, -- [ye] from the fountain of Israel.

²⁶「大いなる集会で神をほめよ。イスラエルの源から出た者よ、主をほめまつれ」と。

²⁷There is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

²⁷そこに彼らを導く年若いベニヤミンがおり、その群れの中にユダの君たちがおり、ゼブルンの君たち、ナフタリの君たちがいる。

²⁸Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

²⁸神よ、あなたの大能を奮い起してください。われらのために事をなされた神よ、あなたの力をお示しください。

²⁹Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

²⁹エルサレムにあるあなたの宮のために、王たちはあなたに贈り物をささげるでしょう。

³⁰Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: [every one] submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.

³⁰葦の中に住む獣、もろもろの民の子牛を率いる雄牛の群れをいましめてください。みつぎ物をむさぼる者たちを足の下に踏みつけ、戦いを好むもろもろの民を散らしてください。

³¹Great ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.

³¹青銅をエジプトから持ちきたらせ、エチオピヤには急いでその手を神に伸べさせてください。

³²Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah,)

³²地のもろもろの国よ、神にむかって歌え、主をほめうたえ。〔セラ

³³Of him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.

³³いにしえからの天の天に乗られる主にむかってほめうたえ。見よ、主はみ声を出し、力あるみ声を出される。

³⁴Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

³⁴力を神に帰せよ。その威光はイスラエルの上にあり、その力は雲の中にある。神はその聖所で恐るべく、イスラエルの神はその民に力と勢いとを与えられる。神はほむべきかな。

³⁵Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, -- the ùGod of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
