¹And as he was going out of the temple, one of his disciples says to him, Teacher, see what stones and what buildings!

²And Jesus answering said to him, Seest thou these great buildings? not a stone shall be left upon a stone, which shall not be thrown down.

³And as he sat on the mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

⁴Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?

⁵And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any one mislead you.

⁶For many shall come in my name, saying, It is *I*, and shall mislead many.

⁶Fa maro no ho avy amin'ny anarako hanao hoe: Izaho no Izy, ka maro no ho voafitany.

⁷But when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be not disturbed, for [this] must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁷Ary raha mandre ady sy filazana ady ianareo, dia aza matahotra; tsy maintsy hisy izany, nefa tsy mbola tonga ny farany.

⁸For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be earthquakes in [different] places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these things [are the] beginnings of throes.

⁸Fa hisy firenena hitsangana hamely firenena, ary hisy fanjakana hitsangana hamely fanjakana; ary hisy horohorontany any amin'ny tany samy hafa, sady hisy mosary; izany no fiandohan'ny fahoriana.[Gr. faharariam-piterahana]

⁹But *ye*, take heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to sanhedrims and to synagogues: ye shall be beaten and brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them;

⁹Fa mitandrema ianareo, fa hatolotra amin'ny Synedriona sy hokapohina ao amin'ny synagoga ary hitsangana eo anatrehan'ny mpanapaka sy ny mpanjaka noho ny amiko ianareo ho vavolombelona aminy.

¹⁰and the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.

¹⁰Ary ny firenena rehetra tsy maintsy hitoriana ny filazantsara aloha.

¹¹But when they shall lead you away to deliver you up, be not careful beforehand as to what ye shall say, [nor prepare your discourse]: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak; for *ye* are not the speakers, but the Holy Spirit.

¹¹Koa raha mitondra anareo hatolotra izy, dia aza manahy rahateo izay holazainareo; fa izay teny homena anareo'amin'izany ora izany no holazainareo; fa tsy ianareo no hiteny, fa ny Fanahy Masina.

¹²But brother shall deliver up brother to death, and father child; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹²Ary ny rahalahy hanolotra ny rahalahiny ho amin'ny fahafatesana, ary ny ray hanolotra ny zanany; ary ny zanaka hitsangana hanohitra ny rainy aman-dreniny ka hahafaty azy.

¹³And ye will be hated of all on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end, *he* shall be saved.

¹⁴But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not, (he that reads let him consider [it],) then let those in Judaea flee to the mountains;

¹⁴Fa raha hitanareo mitsangana amin'izay tsy mety hitsanganany ny fahavetavetan'ny fandravana (Dan. 12. 11; 9. 27) (aoka hisaina izay mamaky izany), dia aoka handositra ho any an-tendrombohitra izay olona any Jodia.

¹⁵and him that is upon the housetop not come down into the house, nor enter [into it] to take away anything out of his house;

¹⁵Ary izay ao an-tampon-trano aoka tsy hidina na hiditra haka zavatra ao an-tranony.

¹⁶and him that is in the field not return back to take his garment.

¹⁶Ary izay any an-tsaha aoka tsy hiverina haka ny lambany.

¹⁷But woe to those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days!

¹⁷Ary lozan'ny bevohoka sy ny mitaiza kely amin'izany andro izany!

¹⁸And pray that it may not be in winter time;

¹⁸Fa mivavaha ianareo mba tsy ho amin'ny ririnina izany.

¹⁹for those days shall be distress such as there has not been the like since [the] beginning of creation which God created, until now, and never shall be;

¹⁹Fa amin'izany andro izany dia hisy fahoriana izay tsy mbola nisy toy izany hatrizay nanaovan'Andriamanitra izao tontolo izao ka mandraka izao ankehitriny izao, sady tsy hisy intsony.

²⁰and if [the] Lord had not cut short those days, no flesh should have been saved; but on account of the elect whom he has chosen, he has cut short those days.

²⁰Ary raha tsy nohafohezin'ny Tompo izany andro izany, dia tsy nisy nofo hovonjena; fa noho ny olom-boafidy, izay nofidiny, dia nohafoheziny izany andro izany.

²¹And then if any one say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ, or Lo, there, believe [it] not.

²¹Ary amin'izay raha tàhiny misy olona manao aminareo hoe: Indro, etỳ Kristy, na: Indro, erỳ ; aza mino ianareo.

²²For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and give signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

²²Fa hisy Kristy sandoka sy mpaminany sandoka hitsangana, ka haneho famantarana sy fahagagana hamitahany na dia ny olom-boafidy aza, raha azo atao izany.[Na: hatsangana]

²³But do *ye* take heed: behold, I have told you all things beforehand.

²⁴But in those days, after that distress, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give its light;

²⁴Fa amin'izany andro izany, raha afaka izany fahoriana izany, ny masoandro hohamaizinina, ary ny volana tsy haneho fahazavana,

²⁵and the stars of heaven shall be falling down, and the powers which are in the heavens shall be shaken;

²⁵ary ny kintana hiraraka avy eny amin'ny lanitra, ary hohozongozonina ny hery izay ao amin'ny lanitra.

²⁶and then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory;

²⁶Ary amin'izay ny Zanak'olona dia ho hita avy eo amin'ny rahona amin'ny hery lehibe sy ny voninahitra.

²⁷and then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from end of earth to end of heaven.

²⁷Ary amin'izay dia haniraka ny anjely Izy, ary hanangona ny olom-boafidiny avy amin'ny vazan-tany efatra hatramin'ny faran'ny tany ka hatramin'ny faran'ny lanitra.[Gr. rivotra]

²⁸But learn the parable from the fig-tree: when its branch already becomes tender and puts forth the leaves, ye know that the summer is near.

²⁸Ary mianara ny fanoharana ny amin'ny aviavy: Raha vao manaroka ny rantsany ka mandravina, dia fantatrareo fa efa akaiky ny lohataona.

²⁹Thus also *ye*, when ye see these things happening, know that it is near, at the doors.

²⁹Dia tahaka izany koa ianareo, raha vao hitanareo fa tonga izany zavatra izany, dia aoka ho fantatrareo fa efa akaiky eo am-baravarana Izy.[Na: izany]

³⁰Verily I say unto you, This generation shall in no wise pass away, till all these things take place.

³⁰Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa fa tsy mba ho lany ity taranaka ity mandra-pahatongan'izany rehetra izany. [ Gr. handalo] [ Na: ity firenena ity]

³¹The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.

³¹Ny lanitra sy ny tany ho levona, fa ny teniko tsy mba ho levona.

³²But of that day or of that hour no one knows, neither the angels who are in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

³²Fa ny amin'izany andro na ora izany dia tsy misy mahalala, na dia ny anjely any an-danitra, ary na dia ny Zanaka aza, afa-tsy ny Ray ihany.

³³Take heed, watch and pray, for ye do not know when the time is:

³³Mitandrema, miambena, ka mivavaha; fa tsy fantatrareo izay hihavian'ny fotoana.[Gr. miareta tory]

³⁴[it is] as a man gone out of the country, having left his house and given to his bondmen the authority, and to each one his work, and commanded the doorkeeper that he should watch.

³⁴Izany dia tahaka ny olona nandeha hivahiny, izay nandao ny tranony ka nanome fahefana ny mpanompony, ka samy notolorany ny raharahany avy, ary ny mpiandry varavarana dia nasainy niambina tsara;

³⁵Watch therefore, for ye do not know when the master of the house comes: evening, or midnight, or cock-crow, or morning;

³⁵Koa miambena ianareo, fa tsy fantatrareo izay andro hihavian'ny tompon-trano, na ho hariva, na ho mamatonalina, na ho maneno akoho, na ho maraina,

³⁶lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

³⁶fandrao avy tampoka izy ka mahita anareo matory.Ary izay lazaiko aminareo dia lazaiko amin'ny olona rehetra

³⁷But what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.
