1{A Psalm of Asaph.} Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are of a pure heart.
1[BOKY FAHATELO][Ny amin'ny tsy hahaketraka ny olon'Andriamanitra, raha mahita ny ratsy fanahy ambinina] Salamo nataon'i Asafa. Andriamanitra mahasoa ny Isiraely tokoa, dia ny madio fo.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone, my steps had well nigh slipped;
2Fa izaho, dia saiky nibolasitra ny tongotro; saiky solafaka ny diako,
3For I was envious at the arrogant, seeing the prosperity of the wicked.
3Satria nialona ny mpirehareha aho, raha nahita ny fiadanan'ny ratsy fanahy.
4For they have no pangs in their death, and their body is well nourished;
4Fa tsy misy fanaintainana amin'ny fahafatesany, ary fatratra ny heriny.
5They have not the hardships of mankind, neither are they plagued like [other] men:
5Tsy mba misy manavesatra azy, tahaka ny olona sasany, ary tsy mba azom-pahoriana tahaka ny olon-kafa izy.
6Therefore pride encompasseth them as a neck-chain, violence covereth them [as] a garment;
6Dia izany no iambozonany rehareha toy ny rojo, sy itafiany fahalozàna tahaka ny lamba.
7Their eyes stand out from fatness, they exceed the imaginations of their heart:
7Bongon-tavy ny masony; miloatra ny hevitry ny fony.
8They mock and speak wickedly of oppression, they speak loftily:
8Manazimbazimba izy ka miresaka fampahoriana an-dolom-po; avo vava izy.
9They set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
9Manao vava manakatra ny lanitra izy, ary ny lelany mandeha mitety ny tany.
10Therefore his people turn hither, and waters in fulness are wrung out to them.
10Izany no itodihan'ny olony hankany aminy; ary rano be no gohin'ireny;
11And they say, How can ùGod know, and is there knowledge in the Most High?
11Ka hoy izy: Hataon'Andriamanitra ahoana no fahalala? ary manam-pahalalana va ny Avo Indrindra?
12Behold, these are the wicked, and they prosper in the world: they heap up riches.
12Indro, ireny dia olona ratsy fanahy; miadana mandrakariva izy ka mitombo harena.
13Truly have I purified my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency:
13Foana mihitsy ny nanadiovako ny foko sy ny nanasàko ny tanako tamin'ny fahamarinana.
14For all the day have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
14Azom-pahoriana mandritra ny andro aho, ary faizana isa-maraina.
15If I said, I will speak thus, behold, I should be faithless to the generation of thy children.
15Raha tahìny aho nanao hoe: Hiteny izany aho, dia ho namitaka ireo zanakao.
16When I thought to be able to know this, it was a grievous task in mine eyes;
16Dia nieritreritra ta-hahalala izany zavatra izany aho, kanjo sarotra teo imasoko izany.
17Until I went into the sanctuaries of ùGod; [then] understood I their end.
17Mandra-piditro tao amin'ny fitoera-masin'Andriamanitra ka nihevitra izay ho farany.
18Truly thou settest them in slippery places, thou castest them down in ruins.
18Eo amin'izay mahasolafaka tokoa no ametrahanao azy, ary aripakao ho ringana izy.
19How are they suddenly made desolate! they pass away, consumed with terrors.
19Hià! rava indray mipi-maso izy! levona izy, matin-java-mahatahotra izy!
20As a dream, when one awaketh, wilt thou, Lord, on arising despise their image.
20Tahaka ny anaovan'ny olona ny nofiny ho tsinontsinona, dia tahaka izany, Tompo ô, no anaovanao ny endrik'ireny ho tsinontsinona, raha mifoha Hianao.
21When my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins,
21Raha lotika ny foko, ka voatsindrona ny voako,
22Then I was brutish and knew nothing; I was [as] a beast with thee.
22Dia ketrina aho ka tsy nahalala; eny, biby teo anatrehanao aho.[Na: hipopotamosy]
23Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand;
23Nefa izaho dia eo aminao ihany mandrakariva, mihazona ny tanako ankavanana Hianao.
24Thou wilt guide me by thy counsel, and after the glory, thou wilt receive me.
24Ny saina omenao no hitondranao ahy, ary rehefa afaka izany, dia horaisinao ho amin'ny voninahitra aho.
25Whom have I in the heavens? and there is none upon earth I desire beside thee.
25Iza no ahy any an-danitra? ary tsy misy etỳ ambonin'ny tany iriko tahaka Anao.
26My flesh and my heart faileth: God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
26Na dia levona aza ny nofoko sy ny foko, dia mbola vatolampin'ny foko sy anjarako mandrakizay Andriamanitra.
27For behold, they that are far from thee shall perish; thou destroyest every one that goeth a whoring from thee.
27Fa, indro, very izay lavitra Anao; aringanao izay rehetra mijangajanga mahafoy Anao.Fa, izaho, dia ny ho akaikin'Andriamanitra no mahatsara ahy; Hianao, Jehovah Tompo ô, no nataoko aroko, mba hilaza ny asanao rehetra aho.
28But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord Jehovah, that I may declare all thy works.
28Fa, izaho, dia ny ho akaikin'Andriamanitra no mahatsara ahy; Hianao, Jehovah Tompo ô, no nataoko aroko, mba hilaza ny asanao rehetra aho.
