1Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear mine utterances, and hearken to all my words.
1Akoi abang hileh, Job, ka honngen hi, thugen ja inla ka thugen tengteng ngaikhiain.
2Behold now, I have opened my mouth, my tongue speaketh in my palate,
2Ngaiin, tuni, ka kam ka kaa, ka kamin ka pau hi.
3My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart, and my lips shall utter knowledge purely.
3Ka thuten ka lungtang dikna a genkhe ding uh; huan ka mukten a theih ngei uh chihtaktakin a gen ding uhi.
4The Spirit of ùGod hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
4Pathian Khain a honbawla huan Thil bangkim hihthei huin hinna a honpai hi.
5If thou canst, answer me; array [thy words] before me: take thy stand.
5Na theih leh, hondawng in; ka maah na thute a kizomzomin koihin, na panna ah ding in.
6Behold, before ùGod I am as thou; I also am formed out of the clay.
6Ngaiin, nang bangin Pathian lamah ka om hi: kei leng tungmana bawl ka hi.
7Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, nor my burden be heavy upon thee.
7Ngaiin, ka lauhuainain nang a honlausak kei ding, ka hahkatna leng na tungah a gik kei ding hi.
8Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of [thy] words: --
8Chihtaktakin ka jakin na pautaa, huan na thute ging ka zata hi.
9I am clean without transgression; I am pure, and there is no iniquity in me;
9Ka siang hi, tatlekna bei; ka hoiha, kei ah thulimlouhna leng a om kei, chiin:
10Lo, he findeth occasions of hostility against me, he counteth me for his enemy;
10Ngaiin, kei demna ding a jiak a mua melmain a honsimta hi;
11He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.
11Ka khete kol a bunsaka, ka lampite tengteng achiamteh hi.
12Behold, I will answer thee in this, thou art not right; for +God is greater than man.
12Ngaiin, ka hondawng ding, hiai na diklouhna ah; mihing sangin lah Pathian a lianzo ngala.
13Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
13Bangdia amah dou na hia, Ka thute a bangmahmah lah a dawng kei ding, chiin?
14For ùGod speaketh once, and twice, -- [and man] perceiveth it not --
14Pathianin lah khatvei a gena, ahi, nihvei, mihingin limsak kei mahleh.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
15Jana mang ah, mengmuhna ah, mite tunga ihmut kip a kiak laiin, lupna tunga ihmut laite in;
16Then he openeth men's ears, and sealeth their instruction,
16Huailaiin mite bilte a honga, vaunatein amau a hihlaua,
17That he may withdraw man [from his] work, and hide pride from man.
17Huchia a thiltup akipana mihing a lakkika, mihing a kipana kisaktheihna a satkhiak theihna dingin;
18He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from passing away by the sword.
18Aman kokhuk akipan a kha a kep kik saka, namsaua kipan a hinna.
19He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and with constant strife in his bones;
19A lupna tungah natnaa sawiin leng a om, huan a guhtea kinakna omgige tohin:
20And his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty food;
20Huchiin a hinnain tanghou a kiha, huan a khain an lim.
21His flesh is consumed away from view, and his bones that were not seen stick out;
21Asa a tum manga, huchiin muh theihin a om kei; huan a kimulou a guhte hongdawk khia uh.
22And his soul draweth near to the pit, and his life to the destroyers.
22A hi, a kha kokhuk kiangah a hong naia, huan a hinna hihsemite kiangah.
23If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his duty;
23A kianga angel, kamlet, sang khat laka khat, mihing kianga amah adia dik bang ahia chih etsakding a om leh;
24Then he will be gracious unto him, and say, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.
24Huchia amah adinga chingtheia, Kokhuka pai sukna akipan amahsuaktasak un, tatna ka muta,
25His flesh shall be fresher than in childhood; he shall return to the days of his youth.
25A sa naupanga sangin nou jaw hen; a tuailai nite lamah kik nawnta hen, chi angel.
26He shall pray unto +God, and he will receive him with favour; and he shall see his face with shoutings, and he will render unto man his righteousness.
26Pathian kiangah a thuma, huan amah dingin deihsak theihin a om hi; huchiin nuamna toh a mai a mua: huan a diktatna a kiangah a pe nawn hi.
27He will sing before men, and say, I have sinned, and perverted what was right, and it hath not been requited to me;
27Mite maah la asa a, Ka khialta a, a dik kana hekkawia thukin ka om kei!
28He hath delivered my soul from going into the pit, and my life shall see the light.
28Kokhuk sunga paisukna akipan ka kha a tanta a, huan ka hinna vakna a muta ding hi, achia.
29Lo, all these [things] worketh ùGod twice, thrice, with man,
29Ngaiin, hiai thilte tengteng Pathianin, mihing lak ah hihna, nihvei, ahi thumvei.
30To bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
30Kokhuk akipan a kha pi kik dingin, huchia mihing vaknaa hihvaka a om theihna dingin.
31Mark well, Job, hearken unto me; be silent, and I will speak.
31Chiamteh hoihin, Aw Job, honngaikhia in: dai inla, thu ka gen ding.
32If thou hast anything to say, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify thee.
32Gending mahmah na neih leh, hon dawng in: Pau in, siam hontansak lah ka ut ngala.Na neih kei leh, kei honngaikhia in: dai inla pilna ka honsinsak ding hi.
33If not, hearken thou unto me; be silent, and I will teach thee wisdom.
33Na neih kei leh, kei honngaikhia in: dai inla pilna ka honsinsak ding hi.
