Job

34

1Moreover Elihu answered and said,
1Huailouin Elihuin a dawnga, hichiin a chi a:
2Hear my words, ye wise [men]; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
2Ka thute ja un, nou mi pilte; nou theihna neite, bil hondoh un.
3For the ear trieth words, as the palate tasteth food.
3Dangtawngin ann achiam bangin, bilin thute a enchain hi.
4Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us know among ourselves what is good!
4A dik eia dingin I tel ding uh; I lak ua hoih bang ahia I thei ding uh.
5For Job hath said, I am righteous, and ùGod hath taken away my judgment:
5Job in lah, Ka dika, huan Pathianin ka dikna a la mang, a chi ngala:
6Should I lie against my right? My wound is incurable without transgression.
6Ka dikna huchin hita mahleh juautheia sim ka hia; tatlekna bei himahleng, ka liamna hihdam theihlouh ahi.
7What man is like Job? he drinketh up scorning like water,
7Muhsitna tui banga dawn bei, Job bang mihing kua ahia?
8And goeth in company with workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
8Thulimlou nasemmite toh a hona pai, mi giloute toh om khawmmi.
9For he hath said, It profiteth not a man if he delight himself in God.
9Aman lah, Pathian laka ka kipahna ding bangmah ka lohtak kei, a chi ngala.
10Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be wickedness from ùGod, and wrong from the Almighty!
10Huaijiakin, nou theisiammite, honngaikhia un: Pathianin, gilou bangchiin a hih ngei mahmah dia; huan Thilbangkimhihtheiin thulimlou bangchiin a hih mahmah dia.
11For a man's work will he render to him, and cause every one to find according to [his] way.
11Aman lah mihing thilhih amah kianga pe kik ding hi ngala, huan mi chiteng a lampite kianga pekik ding ahi.
12Yea, surely, ùGod acteth not wickedly, and the Almighty perverteth not judgment.
12A hi, mohkhuksakna thu ah, Pathianin giloutakin a hih kei dia, Thilbangkimhihtheiin leng vaihawmna a hihse sam kei ding hi.
13Who hath entrusted to him the earth? and who hath disposed the whole world?
13Kuan ahia amah leitunga heututna pia? Ahihkeileh khovel pumpi kuan ahia a thua koih?
14If he only thought of himself, [and] gathered unto him his spirit and his breath,
14Mihing tunga a lungtang a ngaka, amah lama a kha leh a hu a lakkhawm leh;
15All flesh would expire together, and man would return to the dust.
15Sa tengteng a mangthang khawm ding ua, huan mihing leivui a suak nawn ding hi.
16If now [thou hast] understanding, hear this: give ear to the voice of my words!
16Theihsiamna na neih leh, hiai ja in: ka thute aw ngaikhia in.
17Should he that hateth right indeed govern? and wilt thou condemn the All-just?
17Mi thudik huaiin vai a hawm ding hia? Huan dik leh hat amah na mohpaih ding hia?
18Shall one say to a king, Belial? to nobles, Wicked?
18Kumpipa kianga, Na hoih kei chih a kilawm hia? Ahihkeileh miliante kianga, Na gilou uh? Chih.
19[How then to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich man more than the poor? for they are all the work of his hands.
19Mi lalte mi hinna zahtak loua, mi genthei sanga mi hausate limsak zote kianga chih kilawm sem lou ding hia? Amaute tengteng lah a khut nasep ahi ngal ua.
20In a moment they die, even at midnight the people are convulsed and pass away; and the strong are taken away without hand.
20Mitphiat kallouin a si ua jankim lai mahmahin; mite a ling ua a pai mang ua, mihingkhut hilouin mihatte lakmangin a om uhi.
21For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his steps.
21A mitte lah mihing lampite tungah a oma, huan a painate tengteng a mu hi.
22There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
22Thulimlou nasemmite buk theihna ding, khomial a omkei a, sihna limliap leng a om sam kei hi.
23For he doth not long consider a man, to bring him before ùGod in judgment.
23Vaihawmna a Pathian maa a pai dingin, mihing a ngaihtuah lailai a kiphamoh ngal keia.
24He breaketh in pieces mighty men without inquiry, and setteth others in their stead;
24Lamte theihphak vual louhin aman mi hatte a hihjan veka, a mun uah midangte a tungkhia hi.
25Since he knoweth their actions; and he overthroweth [them] in the night, and they are crushed.
25Huaijiakin a nasepte uh a thei hi; janin amau a lumleta, huchiin hihsiatin a om uhi.
26He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others,
26Midang mitmuh mahmahin mi giloute bangin amau a gawt hi.
27Because they have turned back from him, and would consider none of his ways;
27Amah zuihna akipan a pialkhiak ua, a lampitea a koi mahmah a limsaklouh jiakun:
28So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
28Huchiin genthei kahna a kiang tung dingin a bawl ua, huan gimthuak kahna a ja hi.
29When he giveth quietness, who then will disturb? and when he hideth [his] face, who shall behold him? and this towards a nation, or towards a man alike;
29Amah napau kei leh, huchiin kuan siamlouh a tangsak dia? huan aman a mai a sel leh, huchiin amah kuan a mu thei dia? namte kianga hih hiam, ahihkeileh, mihing kianga hih hiam zong a kibang hi:
30That the ungodly man reign not, that the people be not ensnared.
30Huchia pathiantheilou min vai a hawm louha, huchia mite thanga awksak ding kuamah a omlouhna dingin.
31For hath he said unto ùGod, I bear [chastisement], I will not offend;
31Kuapeuhin Pathian kiangah, Gawtna ka thuakta, ka gilou nawn kei ding,
32What I see not, teach thou me; if I have done wrong, I will do so no more?
32Ka muh louh nang honsinsak in: gilou ka hih aleh ka hih nawn kei ding, a chi uhia?
33Shall he recompense according to thy mind? for thou hast refused [his judgment]; for thou so choosest, and not I; speak then what thou knowest.
33A thukna na deih bangin a om diam, huchia na nial? Kei hilouin, nang na tel ngeingei ding lah ahi ngala.
34Men of understanding will say to me, and a wise man who heareth me:
34Theisiammiten ka kiangah, A hi, a chi ding uh, a honja mi pil chitengin,
35Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were not with intelligence.
35Jobin theihna beiin thu a gena, huan a thute pilna bei ahi uh.
36Would that Job may be tried unto the end, because of [his] answers after the manner of evil men!
36Mihaite banga a dawnna thu ah, a tawp chiangin Job tungtang ngaihtuah le uh.Aman lah a khelhna ah helna a behlapa, I lak uah a khut a benga, Pathian kalhin a thute a pungsakta ngala.
37For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth [his hands] among us, and multiplieth his words against ùGod.
37Aman lah a khelhna ah helna a behlapa, I lak uah a khut a benga, Pathian kalhin a thute a pungsakta ngala.
